Yeah I know that is probably easier for charlie to take notice of Anne because he's not that much into her. Gilbert's feelings for Anne are deep, and usually that kind of feelings are more difficult to admit, that's why is easier for him to flirt with that Rose girl, because there's not real feelings there, and that's why he can't flirt with Anne, because he cares too much about her, look at what just happened when he danced with her, all those deep emotions showing.. And once deep feelings are exposed you cannot really go back. So...to be fair, he's in a far risky position than Charlie

It's harder to risk what they have as friends because for him, the moment Anne gets scared with his advances and runs away when he goes too far with his transparency, he will not only lose the woman he truly loves, but also one of his closest, deepest friends.
Charlie has no skin in the game. Like Anne says he is not bold and adventurous. I think that he chose to like Anne bc he thought she was the least risky, like no other boy seems to like her (in Charlie's head lol) and that she may reciprocate his advances. While, Gilbert has a lot to consider with his feelings for Anne. For one, he is attracted towards Anne, that's for sure but rn it isn't love- so how can he even think about professing love for her when he himself is confused!! I think that Winnie will give him the push towards Anne.
Plus, Gilbert clearly has a long time crush on Anne (and literally everyone but Anne herself, and occasionally Ruby when she is in denial, can see that), but Anne is constantly pushing him away, a little bit because of Ruby, but mainly because she is scared of her feelings and of what a romantic relationship really means at this time (like she said to aunt Jo, she has always wanted to be a bride but not a wife). Like in the train scene, Gilbert was practically leaping that he was escorting Anne, but she pushed him away because she was indignant about the necessity to have an escort in the first place. I think the protest after the repercussions of Anne’s article was a major factor for Anne to decide exactly what she felt about Gilbert, because it proved that he understood her point of view and would respect her self determination and independence. And now he can understand that her hostility at the train wasn’t personally directed at him, but at the system as a whole

Diana certainly knows too, since the first season when she teased Anne about taking Gilbert’s homework to him, and at the second season when she teased her about the letters. But really, I think everyone noticed, but since Anne is always shutting him away, he hasn’t made any obvious advance and Ruby still likes him at that point, no one talks about it

I found out the reason why Netflix won't revive or renew, Anne With An E, and Netflix told me it has something to do with licensing agreement, which means if we want them to renew it. We fans, need to pay it ourselves, since they obviously don't want to, since they obviously have the money for it, but won't for whatever reason. I guess in the end, its up to us.
