A guide to Barn Owl habitats

The Barn Owl is a Red-listed Bird of Conservation Concern in Ireland. Declines in their populations are linked to the intensification of farming practices which have resulted in a reduction in the quality and quantity in foraging habitat. This video explores the habitats which Barn Owls depend on and how to create and enhance habitats for Barn Owl, which will have benefits for a wide range of biodiversity. This video is used to inform farmers who are adopting habitat improvement measures through the Agri-environment scheme and also those who are providing nest boxes for Barn Owls to ensure there are suitable foraging habitats available on the farm.

What is a chance to have nest box for them to take up residences in urban gardens of outskirt of city?
They are best pest controllers they can feed on mice and rats of urban take away. I think?

Unfortunately some people cut hedges to short and still prefer intense farming .
