Are you giving your cat too many vaccines, and putting their health at risk? Dr Jones shares the updated Cat Vaccine protocol as suggested by Dr Jean Dodds. See what type of cat vaccine is safest, and what you should really be giving.
    Feline Vaccination Protocol
Note: The following vaccine protocol is offered for those cats where minimal vaccinations are advisable or desirable. The schedule is one Dr. Dodds recommends and should not interpreted to mean that other protocols recommended by a veterinarian would be less satisfactory. It’s a matter of professional judgment and choice.
    8-9 Weeks Old:
Panleukopenia (feline parvovirus), Calicivirus, Rhinopneumonitits Virus (feline herpesvirus-1)
    (FVRCP)
    12-13 Weeks Old:
    Same as above
24 Weeks or Older (if required by law):
    Rabies (e.g. Merial Purevax™, recombinant)

I've been taking my German Shepard to the Vet for an ear infection for months with NO results. I went to youtube with his symptoms. After watching many videos on the subject, they all pointed to yeast infection that just needed apple cider vinegar and water to cure him. 5 cc's for one week and he's a new dog with no more pain.

Tim, there are other ways of preventing puppy sicknesses. Five years ago I got an unvaccinated puppy. I used Amber Technology that uses herbs to prevent puppy sicknesses. I used their protocal. Also, when she was around 3 months old I took her to the local parks where other dogs frequent. We spent 5 minutes at the park to build more immunity against the puppy illnesses. We went to the park about 3 times when she was small. Today she is a very happy and healthy girl.

Tim Green, seems you have been drinking the kool aid.
Injecting our pets with foreign invaders (vaccines) exhausts the immune system. The very thing they need to fight the diseases targeted by vaccinations. Only herbs do it naturally. Many herbs offer stronger protection than carcinogenic vaccines. One of my dogs is 18 and plays like a puppy. The other is a 17 year old puppy. They both receive home made food and daily herbs. You may want to learn more before casting those stones....

This is exactly what happened to my 14 year old Maltese dog. The vet told me the lump between her shoulders looked cancerous. My dog was only 4 1/2 pounds, she was tiny! I was devastated, I should have asked for a needle biopsy. Instead she had surgery. She died from MRSA, after I spent thousands of dollars trying to save her. This was in 2012. This woke me up to how some vets are all about making money.

More people need to be informed about over vaccinating. I would go as far as to say I don't think they necessarily need any vaccinations as long as they are not at some great risk. I have had cats my whole life and the cats who were the least vaccinated, only at kittenhood, have been the cats who were the healthiest and lived the longest. I always forgo vaccines when my cats are in for a checkup. The vet finally stopped asking me. That's just been my experience. Very important info for people not aware of this. Thanks Doc. I have always listened to my vet without question. But after my cat was constantly sick with multiple issues i decided to try an holistic vet. I asked for my cats medical records so i could take them to new vet.
I got 9 A4 pages, 9, my cat was only 5 at the time.
New vet reviewed the records, examined my cat and said
" 1st, no more vaccines, 2nd full detox, 3rd hemp oil, 4th change diet.

I honestly don't know exactly what the vet gave for the detox. It was a liquid i had to give for a few days. The hemp oil was in a little roll-on deodorant bottle and i rubbed it on the inside of the ears. Cats get stressed really easy and can lead to health issues so hemp oil is great for that.
For the diet i tried just wet food but my cat loves dry food so i opted for grain free dry food.
I also have my dog on a grain free diet and he is no longer in pain. He is a rescue and has malformed hips, no cartilage.
He was on cartilage injections and had no improvement, my old vet said just give him pain meds which will probably ruin his kidneys.
I now buy offal minced meat from local butcher. He has no pain, has had no meds for well over 12 mths. He is so happy and healthy.

I began to study natural healing (for people) which lead to looking into the same for my pets. So, 10 years ago I decided no more multiple vaccines for my animals. The cat I have now had her first vaccines as a kitten and then 1 rabies vaccine. She is almost 11 years old now and has NEVER been sick or back to the vet one single time. She is first cat I have ever owned who has been this healthy! 😺

Vets and the primary physicians push the same narratives, giving unnecessary medications. My cat is 5 months old. 4 yes later, I can attest that vets still give the side eye to customers who refuse to do the combo vaccines. Literally happened to me today & she tried to guilt trip me by saying “it will just be one poke instead of two for your kitty”, I persisted and said no b/c if my kitten has a reaction to the rabies shot I want to pinpoint that it was exactly that and not b/c it was the combo. So then she tried the convenience argument and said “you wouldn’t have to come back twice.” I told her I don’t mind coming back twice and I kept saying no. Then she tried to use persuasion of the law by saying “we can do 2 shots but she would not be accurately up to code on all her vaccines by 16wks” - all b/c I didn’t want the last FVRCP booster + rabies combo. & the rabies vaccine isn’t “due” at 16 wks, it can be administered starting at 16 wks but has to be given before they turn 1 year old. So I have time.

Thanks for putting this out there, Doc! This is scary stuff that most pet owners don't realize and vets are putting our animals in harm's way. Many conventional vets I believe are choosing the cheaper version of vaccines in order to keep costs down. Our precious fur babies end up becoming the sacrificial lamb.....How tragic!

    • @cypherphoenix2665
      @cypherphoenix2665 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Cheaper versions of animal vaccines don't exist, most vaccines cost companies a fair bit. Plus there are regulated vaccines for pets, again these are like vaccines for humans--the CDC has a rigours testing system for non-human animal testing, not to mention most vaccines you give to your cat and dog are also the same ones given to humans, just different doses seen as dosage is based mainly on weight. In reality, cats who aren't vaccinated properly get sick a lot, it's just we don't notice it as most cats don't display symptoms often. Eating grass, being more unenergetic than usual being the two main things that are really the only noticeable signs, cats normally hide other signs.

My cat got VAS (vaccine associated sarcoma) from her feline leukemia vaccine 3 years after the injection. It was a monstrous lump that grew very quickly and she had her leg amputated. The vaccine producer reimbursed my vet for the cost of the surgery. She was very fortunate to have a great surgeon and live several years beyond this procedure to the age of 18 (she was 6 at the time), when other cats were fortunate to make it 2 years. I must admit I never had her vaccinated again. She was a strictly indoor kitty. I am very cautious about vaccines, my current Kitty is 2 and only has a set of kitten vaccines. Be sure to vaccinate lower on the legs to avoid growths near the spine.

He’s an awesome three legged kitten (approximately 7-months old) that was going to be euthanized the day I picked him up. She recovered but needed special meds, foods and fluids. She thrived for a year but a mammary lump grew very quickly. Because of her age an precarious kidney problems they didn’t want to risk removing it as they were afraid of using anesthesia on her. Basically they said it was a 50/50 chance for it to be cancer. She was gone 90 days later. Very rough to deal with but I’m convinced it was the vaccinations. She was given the gamut of vaccines in order to be taken on the plane. She had never been vaccinated before and I think her body reacted adversely as a result.

Nov 5, 2019. Hello Dr. Jones. I have commented several times on your videos and you have been very gracious and replied to them. Your advice has proven to be invaluable to my friends and family. Now regarding vaccines. I live on the island of Hawaii USA. I adopted and rescued the dogs in my life. One I have had for 2 years. One I have had a year and the other is a foster. Neither of my dogs has had any additional vaccines since their adoptions. They are very healthy. Their diet consists of 90% meat from cow, chicken, beef organs and some sardines. They also have vegetable and raw meaty bones to chew on. They are exercised every morning. My 28-pound, border collie mix trots for 4.5 miles. My 34 pound, lab/pitbull mix goes 8.5 miles and my foster, a 36 pound, Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pitbull mix trots 6 miles. They trot/run between 7-10 mph. They are just barely panting at the end of their runs. Neither of my 2 mixed breeds, spayed, cats are vaccinated. But that was initially due to the cost. They too, eat an all-meat diet with added olive and coconut oil. Both are in very good health. I have had Spice Kitty since she was a dying 3-week old kitten. Oct 2019 she had her 7th birthday. She was treated for worms 2 times during those 7 years. Daisy Dew, was orphaned as 2-week old infant. She too had a birthday last month. She is now 1 year old. She has been treated once for worms. Neither cat is overweight, or have dental issues or any skin problems such as fleas and ticks. They are not given any supplements, medications, or poisons for blood-sucking, skin parasites. They are both indoor and outdoor cats. They come and go as they please. We live in Fern Forest.

I put my entire trust on these vets and was never told that this could happen. Matter of fact after finding out was getting mixed answers on it and even heard it’s not the vaccine per se, it’s the injection itself. It’s insane. Here in Texas they demand that we give rabies annually whether the cats are outdoors or not. No exceptions and you are supposed to have proof to show on demand.
I have all indoor cats that have never been outside.
I lost a cat once to this injection site tumor too, vet that gave the shots would do nothing for her and I had no money for another vet.
Now I give my own kitten shots and do not do rabies shots. My cats do just fine this way.

Thank you for sharing your honest opinion. I know this video is a couple of years old but your take on vaccinations is so refreshing. I have a question about a future pair of kittens I’ll be adopting in the next couple of months. They will come with their first round of vaccines and I plan on keeping them inside (never free to roam outdoors alone) however, I do want to harness train them so I can take them on supervised outdoor adventures. I was hoping to just have them receive only the core vaccines boosters but wondering if there’s an increased danger of them contracting a virus (such as feline leukemia) even if they never come in contact with strange cats? I appreciate all your help. Thank you so much and Happy New Year!

Our vet of many years has now passed away, but we discussed the need for vaccines years ago. My question to him was why do my babies need shots when they are totally inside, never outside and we are very particular with them. He knew that our babies are children to us and he said our babies did not need them at all, so we chose not to vaccinate them. Through the years another vet told me that an inside cat needs them more than outside cats due to inside cats not building up any tolerance to viruses that can be brought into the house on our feet. We still chose not to vaccinate them. Thank you for such informational videos as I'm binge watching your videos.

They found a spay scare when they had shaved her before surgery.
At that time, oblivious... the pet food industry & vaccine concerns, food allergies, etc etc
    My poor stray kitty 😭😭😭
    twice vaccinated in a year.
I assume vaccines had to have been given prior to her spaying. Apparently in an odd spot, the spay scare was missed at her first appt. when she was vaccinated. Again!
Having just realized this last week, I am literally sickened, & am still looking for different vet ... being a smaller city, will have to travel & I am worried about the stress on her + finding it hard to trust at this point, not to mention the financials attached.
Thinking I will order your cat supplement, hoping to ease her suffering, with her symptoms such as itching, & to give her some quality to life now that her life's been cut short 😔

Our cats never vaxxed, then our male cat went for a ‘joy ride’ and got picked up by a shelter. They said we can’t have him back until vaxxed and chipped. My son was the one picking him up. He said they didn’t? Vax him but only chipped. He was 13 at the time-freaking healthy, fit active etc. That was last October. Seemingly over the winter he has declined. Swollen abdomen, not active, etc.
I took him off kibbles (high quality no grains etc) and added oncological nutrients, raw food/freeze dried, and using CBD, panacur and IVM. Bloating has decreased greatly, he’s much more active (but not the same level). He also had a lump near his thyroid. That also is decreased. His sister is on the same reg, except the rxs. She’s lost weight and is thriving. We are very active outdoors (travelling the USA- fishing hiking etc). He just turned 14. I pray he has many more active years to come. ❤

Everyone should be checking the injection sites regularly as time is a factor with these things, the sooner you get it off the better. I waited too long and my cats tumor ruptured, but we had a great surgeon who gave him 30 more good months. The kicker was After having multiple vets say amputate the leg or euthanize since he was old, I had the surgeon consult and he basically said it was an easy excision and he recovered perfectly. Point is, always get a referral or consult a specialist, regular vets just aren’t very good, think of them as a doorway to the person you actually want to see.

The vet office gave my kitten vaccines- within 4 months my kitty died. When my baby was sick and getting worse I had her checked. Tge office said she's got leukemia and only has a few good cells left. Maybe 2 weeks to live they said. The next day she stopped eating and was miserable. The vet insisted that the rest of my other 5 cats including her mom and dad- had leukemia too. Someone gave it to her. And she lived and ate with my other cats. No one had leukemia like they had said. They lied! They made my baby sick. No one had leukemia. If its so contagious then why months of sharing dishes and living space and her being sick- no one else was sick! My other 4 cats did not get vaccinated. My kittens mom did. She was ok. But the vets vaccines caused my baby to die before she was even 1 year old. I wont be vaccinating anymore kittens. Unless I decide to. Two weeks later and now my dog will not go out the doggie door because her neck is hurting her again. That's where she has a pinched nerve is right there where the shoulder blades meet to the spine. Now that you mention this I worry if that was the cause of her to have a flare up. What do you think about putting her on prednisone and taking her off Metacam while she's on prednisone? That's what I recommended because she must be having a flare up there by her neck and the doggie door rubs on her neck when she goes in and out and she does not want to go out or in the doggie door the past few days. You know how they give the shots right there in the shoulder blades will that's where she has a pinched nerve that runs down her left leg. The vet had tried all different kinds of medicine until dr. Andrew tell me to put her on metcam. He's a lifesaver because once I put her on that it only took a day for her to stop limping on the front leg and she had been fine ever since like nothing ever happened. Provided that I give her the metcam everyday. Now it's been a couple three weeks since she's had her shots and she is in pain again. She's not limping but she's laying around with watery eyes as if she's crying and she'll only stick her face through the doggie door and then backs out. The doggy door is not a heavy door that is just enough to rub on her neck as she goes in and out and so I will put the door on it and let her out manually. @@timgreen2426 do you think the shots that they gave her between the shoulder blades irritated her neck as well as the doggie door? I'm going to pick up a prescription of Prednisone tomorrow so we can get rid of any inflammation and then put her back on her Metacam

    • @italiangirl2440
      @italiangirl2440 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@K S they did tell me that I could not give her metcam and prednisone at the same time. I told her I would stop the metcam while she's on prednisone and then put her back on metcam once the prednisone pack was done. I will do my research to make sure that this is okay or if she needs to be off of metcam longer. If that's the case maybe I should just keep her on her metcam and don't see the prednisone. I have chronic pain and once in awhile I get flare-ups and prednisone help so much so I thought maybe this would help her but now that I think of it I really don't want to take her off metcam because she's doing so well with it. It's been a year that she's been on it and it only took one day for her to stop limping because of her pinched nerve that was going down her left front leg. I was amazed actually because they had put her on Tramadol that did not help her so they put her on rimadyl and doctor Andrew said get her off of the rimadyl and ask for metcam and I did and it it was amazing to see that the next day she was back to her old self. I would hate to disrupt her metcam because I don't want her start limping again. Thank you so much for your advice. I appreciate everyone who has left me a comment regarding this. My dog means the world to me oh, I don't know how to live without her in my life. Just filled my heart with so much love. She loves me and depends on me and needs me and I need her. Don't get me wrong she is 10 years old and I will not let her suffer. I know it's some point I will have to say goodbye and that devastates me. Sometimes I wish I didn't love her so much because my heart's been broken before when I lost Matt last dachshund at the age of 12 because she became anemic. I spent $900 trying to keep her alive and healthy but it did not work and when that day came I wrapped her in my robe and took her to the vet. I proceeded to kiss her on her forehead and tell her what a good girl she is and that everything will be okay. I held the tears back cuz I didn't want her to worry about me but when she had passed I held her in the bets office in a private room and just cried my eyes out. Have a great day and thank you for reading my response and caring ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you Doctor! We had two cats who died shortly after vaccines.💔😰 An Asian Vet told me that she had noticed cats becoming ill and dying some months after they had vaccines. She said she even stopped worming her cat.
My 20 year old cat has a Solensia injection monthly for aching joints. Is that okay?
    Thank you!

Right Andrew here is a challenge for you... do the same video for the UK now lol cos that's where I live... Scotland actually xxx The UK is rabies free so cats and dogs font get shots for this as par for the course. I have also heard tgat if your cats are house cats you don't need the yearly booster, yearly. Only every 3 years or so... could be someone has being filling my head with faeces lol

Depends is your cat a kitten if so yes, is it an older cat if so, possibly-cats do still have feral instincts to run away, although more common in kittens. If it's older than 8 years and has been inside 90% of it's life then rabies shots aren't really needed.

My cat was 10 and she was healthy and never really went to the vet except checkups. Her last check up she got a few vaccine shots then she became lethargic and sick. They said she now had chronic kidney disease and her liver was shutting down. Thhough prior to the vaccines all her bloodwork was normal.. She slowly got worse and 6months from the vaccine we had to put her down because she was suffering so much. I'll never forgive those vets for pushing vaccines at her older age and I was the idiot who went along with it. I hate how the majority of veterinary medicine works.

My dog has a rare leukaemia like disease makes me wonder if it was my fault for loving and caring for him with vaccinations... he’s dying in my arms atm I’m dying inside, he’s 9 years old and my forever friend 🐕
Is it at all possible it was a reaction from the vacations..?
Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom 🕊

Hello Dr. Jones, i wonder what you think about nosodes. I've never done any boosters after initial vaccination of any of my cats nor have i done rabies bc risk is extremely low. However if i should travel outside of my state or country with my cat i will have to. Is there any homeopathic or herbal remedy to counter the ill effects of vaccines. And from a legal perspective, why can't titers be accepted as proof of immunity rather than re vaccination? Thank you. Great video.

Yes you can give homeopathic Vaccinosis. It's a spray & you can spray in her food. You can get it in your local Health Store

Oh my! My cat had never been vaccinated in 16 years. The apartment complex, where I moved to in January 2019 this year, requires you to have the shots with proof of paperwork before moving in. She developed a fast growing tumor on her lower jaw. She could no longer eat and I had to put her down last evening. The county I live in requires all pets to be vaccinated. I have always thought, if a cat never goes outside then why does it need a vaccine.
I took my cat to the vet September 17th and she was diagnosed with a fast growing tumor and now she is gone... 😭 I miss my little girl!

I know I'm late in the game on watching this video but I came to it with concern only because a vet gave an FIV and leukemia combo shot to my son's cat as well as another vet giving a new cat I adopted, the same leukemia shot. These combo shots put $60 bucks in the vet's pocket. I was shocked to see when my son came home that this shot was given without my son's knowledge or my knowing that they were gonna give it. He had just taken the cat in because it was having problems walking which turned out, with xray, to be a stopped up cat that needed an enema. Why the leukemia shot?! This vet didn't even have the previous records of the cat to see what had been administered prior with a different vet! The cat just turned one year old and graduated from officially being a kitten! And the vet where I took my new cat administered around 6 shots in the same area. I asked if this would be good for the cat and of course, they shook their heads and said that they hadn't "lost one yet." Unbelievable.
