Hexos ward is very good for taking sporadic big hits that would otherwise OS, but I don't find it useful in hardest content where you are supposed to avoid the big hits anyway. There the damage you take are more continuous if not constant, that's where self-healing shines. For instance I finished Vet Bloodforge solo on my magplar with highly offensive sets that would boost my damage through the roof, which means my self healing with pale order and sweeps would get better. But Hexos Ward was pretty much useless there because the 12k shield was down in 2 seconds and ended up on cooldown.
I put together my new solo build the other day with hexos ward, briarheart, pale order and one piece slimecraw and it rips through veteran maelstrom arena.
Today I put together Essence thief, heem-jas revenge, pale order and 1 piece bloodspawn :) I finished the build an hour ago and went to bed, can't wait to try it in maelstrom :)

Have you ever tried combining beekeeper with gaze of sithis? That adds a ton of resistance and health recovery and maybe combine those with a set like the updated crusader set all damage and adds minor courage
As a casual I enjoy Crusader ( (5 items) When you deal direct damage with a Blink, Charge, Leap, Teleport, or Pull ability, you consecrate the ground beneath you for 10 seconds and gain a damage shield that absorbs 1595 damage for 6 seconds. Every 2 seconds you and nearby group members in the area gain Minor Courage for 12 seconds. These effects can occur once every 20 seconds and the damage shield scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.) + Briarheart ( 5 items: When you deal Critical Damage, you increase your Weapon and Spell Damage by 450 for 10 seconds. While this effect is active your Critical Strikes heal you for 95 Health. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds and the heal scales off the higher of your Max Magicka or Stamina.) for my stamplar. Plus both sets proc cool yellow effects perfect for that Paladin/Crusader RP
most of my solo chars run vampire kiss, torug pact, and iceheart as their sets in various light/med/heavy combos - I find it's incredibly effective for overworld farming or dungeon/delve farming - running infused dmg shield on front bar and infused wep/spd on backbar like you suggested in your video - quite fun to play imo
As a 4 month new solo player I'm happy that most of the sets you listed I already use or in the process to acquire, the 2 mythic items are giving me trouble to obtain (1 part needed for each to complete) but eventually I'll get them, i didn't know about iceheart, so time to log in and go see the golden vendor before she leaves, thanks for the info
My Favorite Solo Set is Hexos ward used with Overwhelming, and Kjalnars Nightmare monster set. I recently got my Flawless Conqueror achievement in Vma using this setup.

I really like Hexos' Ward since I tried it out on your templar build, you can slap Force Shock on any magicka build with it right now and the uptime is great, good set for fake tanking in normals too lol. I also like Eye of grasp set it pretty decent for vampire scion builds. Great informative video as always thanks!
Right now my fav solo character is my health regen Stam sorc. It's working really well, he one shotted Vet Valkyn Skoria hardmode without dipping below 75% health. Head: Gaze of Sithis (Divine, Stamina) Shoulder: Stormfist (Medium, Divine) Body: 4 Alessian Order (Heavy, Divine, Stamina) 1 Briarheart (Medium, Divine, Stamina) Jewelry: 2 Briarheart, 1 Alessian (Currently 2 Robust, 1 Healthy but I wanna go all Infused, Weapon Dmg) Weapon 1: Briarheart Maul (Precise, Alch Double Poison) Weapon 2: Maelstrom Greatsword (Infused, Weapon Power) CP: Strategic Reserve in red tree. Gaze of Sithis and Alessian Order have an amazing synergy. My sorc is a nord and his Alessian Order health regen tooltip is over 1200. With a maxed ultimate pool, Bewitched Sugar Skulls, Hurricaine, and tri-pot, his health regen is around 7.5-8k. This is with 30k resists, 5k weap dmg, 37% crit and 8.4k pen. Could work on other classes, but works best on Sorc. Sorc has a passive bonus to health and Stam recovery, decreased ability costs, and Dark Deal is amazing for sustain. On top of it, Critical Surge is a substitute for Ring of the Pale Order.

I've been considering using the Grace of Gloom set, is that any good or is it too limited because it only triggers during AOE damage? Would also consider Draugr's Heritage a better alternative.

I'm farming Draugr's Heritage set atm and might combine it with the Hexos' Ward set, for a damage shield plus heal effect. More damage just makes fights go faster, I'm not a "must have tons of DPS" kind of guy, more a "survive long enough to win" type.
On my stam warden I’ve been running leviathan with relequin or VO, for the monster sets I use ice heart, velidreth or selenes. I use a lot of AOE and dot skills so these work very good for me. I want to test bee keeper and hexos tho

I use Daedrick Trickery never gets talked about, when it comes to crafted sets, sure its mostly defense, but lets talk about what buffs you get,. you almost cannot be stunned, hurt, slowed down, Its been out a long time, and no one ever brings it up at all. Or am i wrong? when ive cleared 90% of the game with it on every character i have on a fluke?
Just go to deshaan farm some rings and necklace from the dolmens and weapons from the public dungeon. You will get everything for free in less than an hour

that was my staple..then got pale and now run new moon acoltyes and war maiden...the increase dam with pale's healing is crazy....add inner light and your a beast...massive dam n healing..

I have recently picked up this set myself and find it pretty useful so far, it saved my ass on world bosses where previously I might have died.
This set allowed me to let my 7 year old play a dungeon solo his first time playing ESO. It’s now his favorite game.

Before the PO ring, I used Vengeance Leech + Battlefeild Acrobat (or Seducer) as a budget version VO/False God's. Still holds up pretty well!

First time I have ever heard a content creator mention vampire's kiss. I have had it on my hybrid sorc for years.
Briarheart is a classic, I have it paired with Essence Thief on my Warden.
I pair briarheart with hexos ward on my stamina warden and it rips through veteran maelstrom arena.

I used that on a vamp character I had. It was basically unkillable. Give it a shot it’s super easy to pick up

Just get Pale order and use 2 damage sets. Dead stuff doesn’t kill you.

Mother's Sorrow cheap? It's the most expensive set after Briarheart, Hundings and Julianos in the Guild Market, at least in EU, tho.

How does it work if I have two shields that proc on crits?
Example: Hexos and Iceheart Monster Set.
They can both proc at the same time and will stack.

You have to do a ton of damage to benefit from the ring of the pale order. Im not all that impressed with it on a tank
