    I really love what you guys do on this channel. I know it's hard to keep positive at times - most times these days - but watching your videos tells me it is possible. I look forward to seeing more from the Pit project as well, that was a really cool concept that I think is interesting and really inventive. You are both really inspirational and I can't thank you enough for existing and creating more than just content here. May the Force be with you!

      @@TheSmugglersRoom I have tried for years to just drill a hole in a wall to hang a frame, end result, at best, is generally half a drill bit off to one side no matter how much time I take to measure and "pre-tap" the pilot hole. I am in total admiration of your skills. You have inspired me to visit hardware stores. Last year, I started making lightsabers out of plumbing parts, my kids love it.

    Does the alcohol help paint adhere better to the plastic? Might try that on my rain barrels. No matter how much sanding/priming I do it doesn't want to stay. 😅

    • @TheSmugglersRoom
      @TheSmugglersRoom  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It’s does, but honestly some plastics just won’t accept paint. The type and treatment of the plastic can be so wildly different from product to product unfortunately

    How do you generally attach the pieces to the wall? French cleat?

    • @TheSmugglersRoom
      @TheSmugglersRoom  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It sort of depends. In this larger wall section we attached runners to the studs in the wall and then the new wall pieces to those runners.
      In other situations the French cleat approach works great.
      So it sort of depends and I approach each with whatever works best for that situation.
