Hey Kevin! Always nice to hear from fellow NYers. My husband and I have stayed 2 winters between Tirana and Durres as he’s originally from Albania. We absolutely love it there mainly for its affordability and the weather.
Hey Kevan. Love your videos mate. I'm planning on moving to Albania for a few years as a Turkish citizen. I'm a self-employed software dev. Will definitely be in contact with your lawyer recommendation. I'm hoping they would be able to help me out with the process of setting up a company, applying for residency etc? My girlfriend is Albanian so she'll definitely be helping with bureaucracy but I'd like to consult a professional as well. I see you're in Tirane? I loved hanging out at Hana Corner Cafe when I was there, was surprised too by a lot of digital nomads. Would love to chat / hang out when I'm there in couple months if you'd be free. I started working as a writer 10 years ago and now have a software product in your area of work as well.
Hi! So he definitely can assist with helping you set up your own company as I've seen him do this with one of my old friends successfully. Residency included. Having an Albanian girlfriend will be a huge help of course! Oh that's cool that you're a software developer. And yes, I am in still Tirana. Hana Corner Cafe -- I'm not sure if I heard of this name before. I don't normally go to areas where there are a lot of digital nomads, to be honest. It's a bit strange meeting people who keep coming here short-term so this is one of the reasons I haven't met a lot of the newcomers in the last few years. Writing in my area you say? Should I send you an email? I see the address on your website
Hey Kevan. Really enjoy your videos. How do your single female coloured friends turn down advances from Albanian guys if not interested? Suspect there's an art to this in a place like Albania to keep the peace and stay safe
That’s a great question. At the moment I don’t have that many black female friends that I know living here. I just know one but she speaks Albanian so her experience is different. 2 of my black friends that were living here were getting constantly harassed on the street. And there’s no solution. You just have to keep ignoring them and not engaging with them. And if they don’t stop then you gotta buck a little and let know. Let them hear that you’re not interested. And then after ignore them.
I don't do that stuff. Sorry. This video is meant to help you with finding an apartment. I don't know much about the job market here but there are jobs on LinkedIn. I found my last job here in Albania on LinkedIn@@realstories54
If they say "i mobiluar" then yes they are. But for the ones I'm talking about I'm generally talking about furnished apartments, but this does not mean its modern or new@@fernandmaurice8481
