VTech Smart Video Baby Monitors Review (VM5254, VM5254-2 & RM5754HD)

I tested out 3 VTech video baby monitors: the VTech VM5254, VM5254-2 with 2 cameras, and VTech RM5754HD with a 5" screen. Here are my thoughts on these monitors.

Does the rms5754HD work when you are somewhere with out wifi

I have the RM5754HD and it’s great with the exception I literally can’t go 2 rooms away without loosing connection. This is terrible range/connectivity. My last vtech I could go anywhere in my house and outside with no issues. It just went black after 3 years. So replaced with this one and I didn’t want to use wifi for safety reasons and seem to have issues with not being able to go very far. Not sure of the point or why the range went terribly south with newer models. Pretty disappointed after a few weeks.

Yes it does work without WI-FI. WiFi is optional feature if you wanted to use it for app support
