Frontier Town is one of the few campgrounds we love returning to every year with the grandkids. There's always so much for them to do, regardless of their age. We appreciate that almost everything is included in the price of the campsite. The only downsides are the kids on the golf carts and the fact that you can't bring food or beverages into the waterpark. One thing you didn't mention in your video is that they have a bus that runs from the campground to Ocean City. This shuttle is a great option if you don't have a vehicle or prefer not to deal with parking.
Very nice park and campground. I would stay there but sure with the golf carts being driven like that. The price sounds good for all of the amenities you get. The thank you so much the giving the views on this campground. Safe travels. See you soon!
This is crazy. I drive by that campground dozens of times a year and thousands of times in my life. It looked tiny from the outside, so I never even looked it up. Thank you so much for showing me what is behind that ugly sign, lol.
we usually stay at Sun Outdoors Ocean City just up the rd. Used to be Castaways. We think more room at the sites and laid back more. It has a nice dog beach so the pup can have fun swimming.
So glad I came across your channel. New subscriber here. I'm in Maryland and live about an hour away from Berlin, MD. And never heard of this campground. I'm so glad your son commented on cell service. I MUST have my signal... 😩😊 Yay!!! Level sites golf carts should have the same restriction as a car. Must have a driver's license to operate one! Adding this to my list
I have camped at Assateague State Park several times and like it better then the Federal side.. I have Been past Frontier town several times as well but haven't camped there yet. I just bought a KZ Connect 302FBK and signing paperwork on it in about 25 mins . If you are car people, they used to have a car show at the end of the boardwalk in Ocean City Columbus DAY weekend . Been to several of them as well. I would guesstimate close to 2000 .cars. they enter the boardwalk about 7:30 am or so and cruise down the boardwalk to the parking area and cars are in and out of there all day long
If you are ever down in Myrtle Beach, check out the Briarcliffe RV Resort. It's a small campground but it is well maintained and very reasonably priced for that area.
My family has vacationed in OC for the past 30 years, but we have RV’d there the past 4 years. We have stayed at Frontier Town/Sun Outdoors many times until this year. Our assessment of the campground is similar in that there is so much to do there, especially when we have our grandchildren with us. We stayed at Sun Outdoors OC this year because of the chaos at Frontier Town. I almost hit a child on a bike several times, particularly in the evening hours and the golf carts are wildly insane, which is why we switched up this year. So, the holiday weekend was not really the problem. I complained and was only told that it was a frequent complaint, but clearly, not addressed. Other than that, we only had one year’s visit that was bad and it rained quite a bit, but the site we had, which was H something I think, and it was a lower area and the site remained flooded the entire time we were there, even though the rained cleared up. The upper areas (Y), had cleared up (lesson learned). Generally, the staff has been nice, but they were very rude to my daughter and her husband and it was their first (and vowed last) time at that campground. I did learn something from this video…in all the years we have been going there and staying in Berlin, I never knew there was a downtown. I will definitely check it out on our next trip. Also, this year we stayed at the Sun Outdoors OC, which was not a great experience, so we will probably be back at Frontier next visit. Just an FYI for your viewers, we use military discount, which is pretty decent…and because we use Sun Outdoors a lot, we get perks for booking early.
lol Frontier Town, My sister lived at frontier town for like 2 years, my mom owned a house at Assateague point like 2 miles from there. My Sisters and family just stayed there about a month ago. Anybody that spends time in OC knows about Frontier Town. I love it, not my type of camping, but when your doing the family thing it works!
Last year on the way home from OC (off season-ish) we stopped at this resort to take a look around. As you said, friendly folks. They didn't have to let us in, but they did. It did seem like all of the kid stuff - the pool, the playground, mini-golf were pretty spread out making it hard to keep your eyes on the littles if there is a large age spread and some want to be in the pool and others at the playground. If there are written rules about kids driving golf carts, it would seem like they are inviting a lawsuit. As you said, $133 per night doesn't seem unreasonable for what is included. Torn between waiting until the kids are back in school and going in-season when our grands could join us. Sun took over what was a very old campground. We'd pass Frontier Town on the way to Assateague more than 50 years ago. Camping on Assateague is another story. Aside from the water park, from the road it looks the same as it did back then!. I hope you got to Dumser's for some ice cream. Happy for this positive review.
I tell people Frontiertown is a party campground and expect chaos in the evening and nights. IE: the golf carts, kids on bikes flying around, music, kids up till all hours, . With that will come some incidents like the golf cart accident. That could happen anywhere. We go there for the excitement and chaos our 12yr son loves having the "party" till later at night and since we go there knowing that it's fun for us too. If you want a quite relaxing beach vaca this isn't the spot in the summer.
My parents used to take us there back in the early 90's. I've gone there a few times in a tent about 10 years ago, but the last time a dunk lady almost crashed into our tent while we were sleeping. That's a main reason we decided to get an RV.
I'm not paying that much when I have my home with me. Even with all the amenities, it doesn't seem worth that kind of money. As for all the complaints about night time and such, I could care less about that, too. I don't mind noise and such. And if those kids get hurt, it's on their parents. They'll learn when someone dies. I've read some of the comments, and they talk about flooding and the close quarters of the rigs. Yeah, think I'll skip this one. Thanks for the review, though.
Regarding golf carts driven by kids, I experienced this at a Sun Resorts camprground in Delaware. On the weekends the staff cracked down on kids driving golf carts, but during the week it was a free for all. One night I saw a golf cart stuffed with six kids, yes I said six and they nearly flipped it over going around a corner. Campground management really needs to crack down on this.
Golf carts are dangerous when used improperly and by people that shouldn’t be operating them. (Kids and drunks) I saw a golf cart flip onto its roof when the drunk driver attempted to go up a very steep hill. 3 large people, beers, phones, a speaker, and all the lead acid batteries came spilling out of the golf cart along with lots of profanity. They were able to flip it back on its wheels and load the leaking batteries back into the cart and one of them got a truck and a rope to tow it back to their site. They didn’t appear injured but I guarantee they felt it in the morning! The battery acid probably wasn’t good for them either. Stay safe. The campground was lake George escape in NY.
Hang on, you say you have plenty of room, but on your driver's, electrical, water & sewer hookup side, isn't that the neighbor's fire-pit right by your driver's side slide-out? Just as your fire-pit looks like it would be very close to your neighbor's slide out! I don't think that I would want anyone having a fire that close to my R.V.!
I will never stay at a Sun Resort ever again. I tried to stay at one in Cape May in 2021. It was a mad house. Sites close together, kids thinking it's funny to turn in front of your vehicle and think it's funny, kids driving golf carts, no enforcement of quiet hours. When I went to complain, the management said they couldn't do anything. I left the next day. And you had to pay for the toilet and showers with quarters. I wonder if all Sun Resorts are like that.
Great reviews. Fellow Newmar owner. Step it up to a Dutch Star and you will be kicking yourself for not doing it earlier. Please stretch out your Sunshade. I wanted to reach through the screen and get the wrinkles out.

@@EndlessRVingperfect, don’t sweat it y’all about the hardest working people that I watch. I was surprised by the number of Golf carts running around and I guess a case could be made that a Golf Cart rolling over is dangerous, especially if you’re the one in the golf cart.
On the other hand, I am a new subscriber for a week or so based on some of your older videos. My reaction is also pretty negative to clickbaity title since that is really a pretty good indicator of low-grade, padded content channels. I'll give channel a try for 2-3 videos but using clickbaity style reduces channel interest quite a bit right from start, but we'll see.

Downtown Berlin is definitely worth a visit. It’s not very large, but just a very cute place.
We are booked in October for the car show week. Can't wait, appreciate you guys, great review. I do think Sun is out of control with prices

Tommy T here from the West Coast $133 a night is pretty acceptable for a resort type of community. Great video keep up the great work. Thomyt
