Some people are just so insensitive or plain stupid!!! I think of you always Cheyann and know you can beat this!! Sending you love, hugs and lots of positive vibes.❌⭕️❌⭕️❤️❤️🙏🙏
I am a healthcare professional, and I’d like to dispel the myth that cancer feeds off sugar. All of our cells feed off glycogen, a form of sugar, to survive. Cancer cells simply have a higher metabolism than do normal cells; therefore, cancers cells take up more glycogen, than do normal cells. This is what makes cancer cells show up on scans; their high metabolic rate processing glycogen makes them glow. In explaining scans to patients, doctors have described the cancer cells as showing because they take up more “sugar”, in the form of glycogen. This does not mean that the cancer is growing off sugar, any more than are normal cells. Starving your body of sugar and carbohydrates will not kill cancer, nor does a high carbohydrate diet promote cancer. It promotes diabetes, but not cancer. In fact, a high fat diet is associated with causing cancer. With their higher metabolism, cancer cells take more of everything in your bloodstream, than do your normal cells, including, but not limited to, sugar. This is why chemotherapy kills cancer cells, without killing healthy ones. If cancer cells did not have a higher metabolism than do normal cells, we could not take chemotherapy, because it would kill all of our cells, thereby killing us, rather than killing our cancer cells. Cancer cells take up much more of the toxic chemotherapy than do normal cells, which is how chemo kills cancer, without killing the patient.
I agree with all of them except for the food related one. My aunt died of cancer a couple of years ago. After she was diagnosed, she ate like crap and the excess of garbage food made her condition incredibly worse. We tried to intervine but she would just get mad at anybody who would bring the subject up. I understand cancer is horrible. But if the food information is coming from a reliable source (knowledgable family member or healthcare professional) you should be paying close attention to it if you want to get better, instead of worrying about your feelings or being offended. At the end of the day, there is no difference between a stubborn lung cancer patient that continues to smoke to another one that eats like crap and indulges in sugar. To survive cancer, radical measures are required that dont care about your feelings or emotions and I wish my aunt took that approach. I am sure she would still be here or at least she would’ve have survived longer. I have followed your channel since literally the first time you got diagnosed. I wish you nothing but the best and I and a speedy recovery. I also hope you take your nutrition seriously You are amazing and deserve a beautiful life. I am nothing but sure you will overcome this thanks your character and spirit.
1234556 I agree-and that is why I said to an extent. If you see someone who like your aunt, eating like garbage all the time, then yes, step in and state your concerns. This was mostly for the strangers who feel it necessary to comment on every little thing someone eats. I am so terribly sorry to hear about the passing of your aunt.
About my own nutrition-it’s honestly the most important thing to me and my husband. We eat mostly a vegan style meals and have cut back by 95% on the sugar. I do believe in having things in moderation, so I will enjoy a vegan cookie or vegan dessert every once in awhile 😊
@Cheyann Shaw I absolutely hope that this change will be significant on your way to recovery, and that it will also be enjoyable, thank god there is such thing as healthy treats!!! 💜 sending my love on your way to remission
Cheyann Shaw yeah well evidently the vegan diet has not been good to you. Probably not what you want to hear but cancer feeds off of sugar and with the insane amount of carbohydrates you eat on your vegan diet combined with all the trash oils a lot of animal substitution foods have, it is obviously not working for you. You should follow a strict ketogenic diet and starve those cancer cells from sugar. You can stay Vegan if you want (although probably not the best either) But there are tons of doctors out there that talk about this. I hope you are not putting your life at risk over some ideals. Best of luck to you and i wish you a long and happy life. Like I said. Im a long time follower.
Great advice! One of the best book I ever read was "How to be a friend to a friend that's sick." It was written by a cancer survivor that interviewed many people that had been diagnosed will all types of illnesses. It was a huge help when my friend went through a double lung transplant 6 years ago. You are such an inspiration to everyone you reach!! Keep up the amazing work!
It isn't addressed to stage 4. She didn't say everyone goes through chemo and she also didn't say everyone dies from cancer. I have blood cancer and can relate to this video while I haven't been asked these specific questions.
I gained weight on chemo and all i ever hear is “omg your so fat” “how did you gain weight when you have cancer” “woah look at you now” and a lot more like geezz chill
KateChristi wow! That’s not good! Sorry for calling them disgusting. I assumed it was people who didn’t know you so well. Random question but do you find it’s the older relatives who do it more?
KateChristi family can honestly be the worst because they think “oh I’m family, they know I mean well” but it hurts even more. Literally half of my family kept telling me to just eat more🤦🏼♀️
monica fermin that’s amazing and so have a few of my friends-again, it DEPENDS on the treatment and cancer. Some people become sterile from chemo, others have had to have their reproductive organs removed, so again, it depends 👍🏻
Really good info Chey!! Been following you from the beginning and you look and sound better than ever!! God bless.🐾❤
Always love your positive attitude. Keep on keeping on. Love your videos
Excellent informative video gal
Rebekah Richardson that was going to be one of my next few videos ❤️

Good words of advice. ❤️

Yup
I truly enjoyed this thanks so much❤️
I once said number 1 to someone who got cancer....regret it so much
Awesome video!
That first one should be obvious but some people are stupid
positive 👍

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😢😢😢😢
Goodness...it's so crazy that people even say these things. Ugh...
This is literally just scratching the surface. You would be shook at what people say and ask🤣
One that I've heard recently "Well it's not like people die of breast cancer anymore" 🙄 I heard all 5 and I appreciate you sharing this!!!
Oh dear gawdsss😭😭 I don’t understand people just like I don’t understand when they say “well at least it’s the good kind” like uhhh nooooo🤦🏼♀️
Cheyann Shaw 😳😱"good kind"???!!🥴
@@CheyannClark I have had people use the "good kind" comment directly to me. Horrible thing for someone to do for a person fighting cancer.
100%
Can't agree more 👏👏👏
You awesome
You would think this is common sense but unfortunately, It's not. Sometimes people get really nervous and say things they wouldn't normally say.
Not everyone do chemo..
Why is this address to stage 4

Savannah Spurlock I am on my second recurrence. I hope and pray you will beat it🙏
@@monicafermin5045 mine is chronic meaning I will have it for the rest of my life
Savannah Spurlock lets hope for a miracle
@@monicafermin5045 I am praying for a miracle! Until then I keep fighting!

KateChristi I’m sorry you had to experience that. Some people are just disgusting! X
Milla worst part is their mu relatives

Milla yeah their my aunts and uncle. They even say it like as if i choose to gain all the weight
Yes most people can have kids after cancer it’s very possible
monica fermin yup! and some can not, that is why I said it depends on the cancer and treatment 😊
Cheyann Shaw my friend had her own kids after chemo
monica fermin that’s amazing and so have a few of my friends-again, it DEPENDS on the treatment and cancer. Some people become sterile from chemo, others have had to have their reproductive organs removed, so again, it depends 👍🏻

Cheyann you look so beautiful and hot !!! You are doing good lady.
Lushon Noel thank you ❤️
