All he was worried about was his next plate of pie and chips.

He should have asked Campbell about the punch. Apparently, Campbell was with Blair in a car when he got the phone call and Blair was worried about having to sack him in the middle of an election campaign. It was the driver and the bodyguard’s reaction which saved Prescott. They thought it was hilarious and of course, the people were behind him too. It’s a better story the way Campbell tells it. 😂

One of the last MPs to have a proper job prior to his election, and a proper old Labour MP. Shame that imo he sold out in the end to Blair and new Labour

Prescott thought it was OK to build houses on the Thames flood plain alongside the A13.
That's the level of his intelligence folks.

His influence on local politics destroyed democracy. No more bungalows, no more garages and less of a drive to park on.

Increased building density from 12 to 15 dwellings per acre , condemning people to living in rabbit hutches , horrible man

That was his cultural marxist thinking there for you. More state control.

And took a peerage despite wanting the House of Lords abolished.

Should have been tried years ago along with Blair, Alastair Campbell, and the rest of that New Labour rabble.

And, presumably, the overwhelming majority of Conservative MPs?
