If you’re going to start doing the bass fishing, trust me and do yourself a favor and buy a white top water mouse. You will absolutely love the explosions from the bites. It is the best kind of bass fishing at sundown or sunrise you will not regret it.
With spinning reels I use 30 lb braid with a 20lb floro, Bass like to look and inhale the the worm baits, so once I feel the bait I count 2 seconds before hammering them. In the evening try the whopper plopper, or a top water...tight lines..
Heiko, you are right that you adjust in free spool. In free spool you want the lure to fall slightly quicker than what you had it at. When you cast, use your thumb lightly on the spool to help avoid bird nests. "I could never date a cichlad"..It took me a second, LOL!
I put Buddy Bearings on my trailer and they are working like a champ. Before i trailer, I check them to make sure there's enough marine grease in them. So far so good and the saltwater has not got inside the hubs 🤙 Others use the type that has an oil bath but these are working well for me. Love that line spooler. Got one a few years back. For that bait casting reel, whenever you change your lure, you have to adjust the tension on your spool due to the difference in weight. What you're trying to avoid is a rats nest. Too tight, you won't get the distance, too loose, you'll get tangled line in your reel. Try twitching your bait. Many times bass have a reaction strike. At least that's what my freshwater fishing friends tell me 😎 That's pretty cool the carp came up to you. You must have looked sexy to it 🤣🤣 It's called a wacky rig when you hook the worm in the middle. Dan's MIA, he should've been with you guys to catch some fresh water rock fish 😅😂😆 Cheers mon 🤙
The guys in Canada put O Rings on the worms with a small aluminum tube to get the O Ring in the middle of the rubber wurm then they put the hook between the O Ring an the wurm. This extends the life of the rubber wurm. Try it and see.
bro when using a bait caster you have to put your thumb lightly on the spool when casting to prevent birds nest and adjust the tension knob for free spool tension. always cast at an angle
wackey style. thats how you fish sinko worms. watched your boat build. new sub. i just got a boat from the '80's too. i mean just now lol. havent even gotten it home yet. but ive been collecting parts and materials for a few weeks for one. cant wait to get started. ill have to fish around my build, at least this fall if i want to do any fishing. only got 6 weeks or so until im froze out of the lake! i live at 9,000' in the rocky mountains lol
Your New rod reminds me of the old time push button rods I had when I was a kid, loved em, probably still have one around somewhere ❤, great shots of that carp.👍🙏♥️😎
You could try using an O-ring instead of hooking worm directly. If the bass are that fiesty using something like a spinner, chatterbait, rattle bait should piss them off and they'll blow it up. Also the water is so calm top water could be real fun.
DUDE! In 30 minutes you said dude 37 times. I watch this with my husband and loose my mind. If I had a drink, I'd be drunk as many times as you said Dude!
Artificial baits need to mimic real live bait by you twitch and pause as you reel them in, the more movement the more chances the bass will chase the fake bait. you are fishing like two kids fishing for the first time ever! Sight fish bass only when their bedding.
Guy kept coming into a salon to get a haircut. Ask the barber how’s it going the barber said busy. Guy ends up, leaving He does this three or four days in a row in the barber said something fishy about that guy he comes in again I want you to follow him and see where he’s going. Comes in again they follow the one guy comes back Barbara asks where is he going? The guy that followed him said your house. 🤣🤣🤣
I'm seriously starting to question your fishing skills ? 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe try focusing on the fishing and a little less on the other BS ? Just a little distracting is all I'm saying . Love your pod most of the time .
Looks like bc Aerojet canal if it is spend a lot of time at the bridges. You need the weight of the lure to pull the line off of spool once you get use to it you start thumbing the spool if it starts to birds nest and can lighten the spool drag magnets to cast further. I hook my worms like a eel with a1/8 oz. Worm weight and can slide the weight up the line and take a tooth pick and stick it in the weight and break off that’s called pegging the weight then the worm flutter down slower. HOOKED N ROLLING OFFSHORE 🇺🇸🇺🇸🐠🐟🎣🛥
The wacky rig is the weapon of choice😂 more beer, more burritos more better. Just got to find them. Not necessarily in that order
Leave a comment and I'll pin the funniest one later today =)
Dude get live bait
Drop that tailgate and... Bam! Jonboat in view! YEEHAW!!
2 stroke Evinrude, one of the most dependable OB's ever made.

I’m very impressed with that bait caster I’ve been waiting to see if you had giant birds nests but it worked great! Fun video

Hanging a Worm in the Middle is Called a Wacky 🪱 Worm 🤧
Bass Fisherman
Wacky rig or a neco rig.
Yes Sir
Heiko:"There's a lil nook up there... yeah yeah, you wanna chuck your worm right in there!" Mmmhmm?

Control the line going out of the baitcaster with your thumb and it won't tangle up
My JonBoat is called Yahoo!🎣😎
Good Show
Wacky worm and when you free spool the line out just start reeling and it’ll reset the spool automatically. love the videos💯
You would hook a lot more bass with a Texas rig. A lot more action! I think they were grabbing the end of the worm not the middle IMO
wacky rig brotha
Hey dude, how do you think the “Kraken” will do or deal with a 150 lb bottom beast, halibut?
Love seeing the yeeehaaaa bullet glide through water.
Once you get the hang of a baitcaster, I promise, it will be the most used reel in your arsenal. The worm you were fishing was rigged "wacky rig" BTW.
A”Little”? The bass wi be asleep 😴🎣
Wacky rig always works for bass! The old faithful way of catching freshwater fish!
Did you already scratch the hell out of your new truck ? Good thing its got a wrap .
Guys you have to set the hook ❤
I don't even want to fish anymore after you said the best way to catch a bass is a Senko. I'm ready to give up now
Heiko.. "....... I could never date a Cichlid". (I see what you did there!! LMAO!!)
YeeHaww getting it done!
Where have you been??? No livestream, no videos for a week. Glad you're OK. We were concerned about you.
DUDE! In 30 minutes you said dude 37 times. I watch this with my husband and loose my mind. If I had a drink, I'd be drunk as many times as you said Dude!

Leave the poor carp alone you don't want to eat him. He's somebody's pet goldfish flushed down the toilet.
Wacky style rigged worms. Try Senko’s next time.
Bro, that is why I'd rather use a spinning rod.
Crazy worm ? LOL
Crazy worm? Whacky worm!
I could never date a cicolid 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😃👍👍👍❤
Ole Dan is kinda like a blister, he shows up after the work is done.
Wacky rigged! Lol
