When this first played in Case 3 I wasn't expecting it for obvious reasons and it was probably the most hyped I was in the whole game, I hope all future Ace Attorney games have a prelude theme for the pursuit introduced halfway through the game like this.

I love this one more than all the pursuit themes because this one sounds so smug lol. It's the tune that best embodies the feeling you get when someone says something they shouldn't know and you catch it immediately. Pursuit is a sort of "I've got you now!" Whereas this one is more like "gotcha bitch~ ;) "
The idea of splitting the Pursuit into the Prelude/the Omen and the actual Pursuit is so damn clever. It has a strange impact on how the brain understands the atmosphere and the situation while you're playing, though I can't really point out what is this difference. I hope they will incorporate it into future AA novels. If there will be future novels, that is. Sighhhh.
@@ixac_ Not true. Only AA6 was made after TGAA, and even then the first TGAA didn't have a prelude to pursuit. This was something added to TGAA2, which just so happens to be the latest game released. There is a chance

I don't think any other ace attorney has these overture to pursuit/objection. Except maybe hotline of fate from jfa, but regardless... GOD CAN YOU FEEL THE HYPE?
While it doesn't sound sound like the pursuit theme, I'd argue that "the winning combination" from the layton crossover plays a similar role of being a build up to it.
I was totally lost during case 3, I had no idea what was the truth that the game wanted me to uncover, but this started playing and then everything clicked right then and there and it was so hype for me

This is my favourite song of DGS. There is an almost fleeting feeling of the case being on the verge of resolution. You can't quite put the last inner cogwork that makes the case fit together like a 'well-oiled machine' or a 'giant clockwork', but you know the endgame starts. All case long you've been dragged through tricks and traps laid down by the prosecution. Once you've reached this music you know you finally breached the case open, and the prosecution is a few deductions and objections away from being obliterated (and/or the truth fully unravelled). This theme feels triumphant, but light at the same time, and that's what I love about it. It keeps the same leitmotiv as the opening of the main pursuit theme, to keep that sense of triumph the main theme achieves so well when it starts playing. But there is no brass, we hear mainly the cello line, and there is fewer violins. Add to that the harp, and you have the perfect 'light' theme (ideal for a prelude), while keeping it relatively tense with the great staccato notes we hear from all the instrumental lines. It is a perfect match for the ambiance that I described in the first paragraph. That's why it's just A MASTERPIECE.

Ryunosuke even asks him, saying that he has the chance to make a difference. Because otherwise, if he doesn't say that he was involved, she was still denying everything.
I believe in Case 3 just before the actual cornered theme when confronting the killer. It's very well placed. Edit: I don't know about the other times, but definitely in Case 3.

We do know aa7 is in production, but then again aa5 and Aa6 were made after gaa and they didn't have pursuit preludes, so....
