The caption *"Mario says this is a picture of me but i don't believe him"* is Luigi rejecting the reality that "He's not thee Luigi!" And as for the skeleton in the bathtub. Do you remember from the animation video where Mario says "That was a dead hooker, Luigi"? I'm Guessing Mario gives his ladies the nickname "peach" when he pays to have sex with them but here.. It appears Mario killed one of them and had his brother help and dumped the body in a acid bath leaving nothing but the skeleton behind in an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere calling it "Peach's Castle" as we see it from a distance before fading into reality. Of course, after his brother lost his mind and went violent Mario had to have him put away but was never able to handle the guilt of "Killing someone and framing his brother" so he takes his own life not being able to pay the medical bills as well. Luigi, Now back in Real Life cannot handle that both his "Brother" is not the Super Mario we know and that there was never a princess Peach at all. (As we see a image of Mario and Peach glitch out on the screen). And as we see Luigi start to realize this his mind slowly gets consumed by his terminal 7 brain cancer. The final area before the "Super Terminal 7" screen reflects Luigi trying to reject the world around him by turning it off like a game and tries to go back to the "Mushroom Kingdom" while everything in his mind crumbles around him as he slowly dies. The final step before death embraces him is the "glitched Super Mario Bros. 1-1" level, Where everything is falling apart, no enemies, no ways to die. Just moving forward to the final castle as we see where it all began. When the Doctor tells Mario his brother has Brain Cancer. *Luigi Finally realizes there's nowhere left to go and finally succumbs to the cancer as death overtakes him. (as symbolized by his death throw sprite.)*
Luke Turner This is pretty on point it seems, but what I don't get is why Mario addresses the woman in the letter as Peach, when he knows it's just a random hooker. Unless maybe there was a Peach in Mario's life who either left or passed away, and the apology was addressed to her.

When he reaches the end of the platforming segment you can see Mario and Peach hunched over something. They're crying. If you look, it's Luigi laying on his back. This is when Luigi starts to unlock a lost memory. The NES part at the end represents Luigi's recovery of this memory. Note the hud at the top. Memory 1-1 Time 1996. Luigi's years of drug abuse have addled this memory, giving him visions of the Mushroom Kingdom that never existed, but at the end of this section of the game he manages to recover his earliest true memory: the day he was diagnosed. But wait... None of this was real. No cops or civilians died. There was no prison break. None of this happened. You know why? Think back to the imagery of Peach and Mario huddled over Luigi. This game is a real masterpiece. It purposely used the goofy nature of the original joke as a veil to disguise itself as a meme game. While it doesn't seem too special at first, you soon realize that there's more under the surface. While traversing what you assume to be the Mushroom Kingdom, the surrounding areas around you grow more unsettling as time passes and sometimes random events happen that signal that something may be wrong. Eventually, the game takes a hard turn into Cookoo Town. First, Mario commits suicide in a strange warped version of his apartment which causes Luigi to go to the last person he knows, Peach. But there is no Mushroom Kingdom, as Luigi finds out. It's all in his head. Coming to this revelation is too much for him, and his world starts collapsing around him. There's no logic in what happens and Luigi ventures through a scattered, broken set of memories that only lead Luigi to the cold, bitter truth. He has brain cancer.

I'm so sad that I missed this live, it looks like it would have been absolutely mental but beautiful. Hopefully the creator will grace us with something like this again one day
I feel ya. I missed this stream, too. But, I plan on becoming a streamer myself! That way, I can CREATE these awesome experiences, so I never miss them! XD
if i remember correctly, mario tells luigi the truth was one of the first ever vinesauce related things i've watched and it basically introduced me to vinesauce, and i'm willing to bet a lot of others are in that same boat. getting to see terminal 7 streamed live was such an iconic experience, and i'd like to say thank you to nooke and vinny for making this happen, thanks for being such swell dudes 🌈
GentleRalts For me, it was the second thing. My first Vinesauce related video was an SFM of Supra Mayro Kratt. Still, I never would've imagine that a simple joke could create such... *lore.*
watching this from start to finish live was an experience...... everything here is surprisingly so well made, like the atmosphere, the story progression, how the game changes from a shooter to a platformer to a point & click adventure between worlds, even the cinnamontography in the cutscenes................. wow. just wow. im just rly blown away (i could say more abt this game but I dont want to ramble on forever lol)
Caution: This comment contains spoilers! So people who haven't watched yet, beware! The luigi rag doll scenes (Coming out the pipe, and rising from the water) kind of took away from the seriousness of the game but added some slight comedy (to me I must add) but over all, the game was Kind of stupid at first, then it got serious, and finally got REALLY dark, in the final part you really start to feel luigi's pain so 10/10 Nooke... 10 out of 10.
Gmayor61 I agree completely with you man. rest of the comment below, spoilers. In my job I work with the mentally ill, and there's a patient I'm assigned to (can't legally give much info) that is very similar to luigi in Terminal 7, obviously he didn't kill anyone, but he lives in this false reality, and it takes him time to realize what's actually in the room instead of going off what he sees. If you want I can describe (in an e-mail) what he sees without his medication to help him to distinguish reality from hallucination (it's still a difficult process for him). But working with him, I completely see your point.
This is the best thing I've ever seen on stream. This is better than anything from MGR. This is better than Willoughby. This is better than Mario logging in. This right here, completely amazing. Massive props to the creator.
Vinny's lure/commentary just kept me watching, I couldn't stop. What he was saying just completely engrossed me in his video. This is his best video since the Donkey Kong Country corruptions, not that the rest were trash though.
Vinny was so impressed with the opening sequence that he went from "It doesn't matter who made this" to "Hold on... I'm sorry I'm bad with names but... I gotta get the creator's name"
“Listen to me Luigi. Mario, Peach, even Bowser… they’re all gone. There’s only one person who can actually help you. Her name’s Daisy. She’s a psychiatrist.”
This was one hell of an experience and I was so glad I saw it live. I love how we all thought it would be shit but by the end we were pretty much breathless. Gotta say, when Peach's castle shifts into the shitty shack it fucks me up every time.
What website are you reading it on? Kissmanga has all the parts, some chapters colored. And with good translations. If you're not reading it there then you should.
And then Luigi discovered his other brother, Sponge. Sponge was able to remove the depression from Luigi and Mario's lives... At the cost of Sponge's happiness.
On the normal Vinesauce channel is there for-sure gonna' be an edited version of this? I was looking forward to this upload, but if there's gonna' be an edited/shortened version, I'll prolly wait 'til that shows up to post this on Facebook (that way I can put the edited vid in the Comments so people have an alternative to watching this hour and 45 minute version)...
There's a second Vinesauce channel - This one posts entire streams, where-as the other Vinesauce channel shows clips of streams. Pretty much, that means if they post this on their "main channel" it'll be a very cut-down version. Might lose a bit, but it'll also be more approachable for people who don't wanna' spend almost two hours watching a stream (which is most people)...
Meh - I just posted this to Facebook, but I still hope they make a shorter version that's more accessible to peoples that have less motivation to sit down and watch stuff this lengthy...
I always wanted to make a terminal 7 fan game, and now there's this unbeatable god amongst mods. Still gonna make it, but fuck man this is gonna be impossible to top.
@Jackson Myers actually yeah, I practically stopped working on it a while ago, but i've been doing it during the corona virus. hopefully it'll be done soon
I just realised something that made this game so much better to me. at the end with the terminal 7 bros it shows everyone Luigi said at the beginning of the t7 video, water in the sky. blocks everywhere and a coin worth the same as a yoshi coin... fucking hell someone needs to make a vinesauce timeline
That was phenomenal...That was Vinesauce history as far as I'm concerned. Thank you Nooke, and thank you Vinny for all the laughs. I'm amazed at how the engine was pushed above and beyond; truly the work of a master, no less.
Wow I remember watching this live. Literally dropped every piece of homework and project I had just to watch the game as it turned from joking and pleasant to dark and creepy within the span of seonds. Holy shit do the people who made the game need an award for best atmosphere, taking it to a new high and managing to put in otherwise impossible events and continuation to storyline.
I swear it was in the playlist for the soundtrack of this game but now it's gone. I don't remember the name of it either. Just that it was from a puzzle game, with a cyber theme, and there was an ocean level which was where this came from. That's it.
I’m usually very critical of fan games to a degree but Terminal 7 fucking mastered subverting everyone’s expectations and went from a stupid little fan games to an amazing fan game that actually managed to give me goosebumps at around 1:27:35 it lowered everyone’s expectations just to blow everyone’s minds 30 minutes later and to me that’s fucking great
I had a fever and was coughing up blood while watching this (Bronchitis). what an experience. It rivals me passing gallstones while watching Rev's first King's Quit stream
What started out as a light hearted SourceMod about a meme, would slowly dissolve into the official cannon for are young, unfortunate protagonist, Luigi, who escapes from his mental health ward in order to uncover the truth about his failing health.
Whoever made this was either very very smart, or just a fucking psychological field day. Either way it made for a great stream to watch before going to sleep!
Whoandwhy According to Nooke's AMA, a lot of the psychological horror was based around a fascination of mental illness and his own experiences to an extent. So yeah pretty much
I always come back to this because out of all of Vinny's streams, his impromptu voice acting and continuing of the story is so dramatic, it always catches me off guard. There's real emotion in that Luigi impersonation and goddamn it's fantastic.
For anyone curious after this many years. Story basically is: Luigi has terminal 7 brain cancer. He is obsessed with the Mario games and has become deluded into thinking Mario is actually Super Mario and he is Luigi. Mario is looking after him, Mario and Peach have a fight, Luigi kills or assaults Peach because of this (had to examine the glitched images) Luigi has to be put away because of this. The bills and losing Peach drive Mario to suicide and upon escaping confinement he finds Mario dead, this begins to shatter his already broken mind and eventually he remembers what he did to Peach, now alone and dying he lashes out in one last rage induces episode.
This was such an amazing mod. Nooke did a superb job. I sometimes imagine scenarios built off of tiny, but quality jokes or quips or whatever from Vinny. This is exactly that in its purest, most sincere form. Really great. I hope people remember this, and that it gets archived forever.
I think the two are kind of incomparable. This was a dark journey into the psyche of a delusional man with severe brain cancer. It had heavy symbolism and lots of thought put into it, despite its basis in memes. Sonic Dreams Collection was just a joke game made to poke fun at the weirdness of the Sonic fandom.
Better wording would be "I re-listened to it several times while doing odds and ends", which is what I do during most of these streams. I enjoy listening to him talk.
At 1:17:00 the scary ambient music that plays in the dark is Arktau Eos, The Cyprus Watcher. Actually a halfway common ambient 'music' album. I started hearing it and wondered if I had accidentally clicked on it on another device or tab or something
Wow. I was sick as hell on Sunday. Wish I hadn't missed this live. I knew I was in for something because over the next couple days, chat kept saying "just you wait.", but I still expected mostly memes outta this. I almost checked out during the sewer level when Vinny kept dying, but then the moment at 46:48 happens and that was enough to know it was going to get reaaalll fucked up. Props Nooke. There were a lot of great things you did in regards to the atmosphere. The pacing gave me a lot of anxiety at times, and fuck dude, the choice of music was top notch. Never heard of Crush before, but that OST is something else.

I think vinny should revisit this now that it has been 7 years
I'm so sad that I missed this live, it looks like it would have been absolutely mental but beautiful. Hopefully the creator will grace us with something like this again one day
I feel ya. I missed this stream, too. But, I plan on becoming a streamer myself! That way, I can CREATE these awesome experiences, so I never miss them! XD

TERMINAL 8

I was here for this.
It was an experience.
Fuck yeah it was
Starrypop10 indeed it was
If only modern horror games were as immersive and atmospheric as this.
I think the fact that it's a made-up disease gave the creator a lot in the way of wiggle room when it came to portraying the severity of it.
Mario:it's terminal 5
Luigi:Yes, we are in zone 5!
Mario:No it's termin- *laughs*

Looks like you've got a sequel to make now Nooke.
if i remember correctly, mario tells luigi the truth was one of the first ever vinesauce related things i've watched and it basically introduced me to vinesauce, and i'm willing to bet a lot of others are in that same boat. getting to see terminal 7 streamed live was such an iconic experience, and i'd like to say thank you to nooke and vinny for making this happen, thanks for being such swell dudes 🌈
GentleRalts
For me, it was the second thing.
My first Vinesauce related video was an SFM of Supra Mayro Kratt.
Still, I never would've imagine that a simple joke could create such... *lore.*
My first Vinesauce related video was of the F-Zero Corruptions, the Terminal 7 was like the 10th video.
I remember back when I first watched this, Peach’s Castle fading away into a crack den at 1:20:30 genuinely fucked me over good.
watching this from start to finish live was an experience...... everything here is surprisingly so well made, like the atmosphere, the story progression, how the game changes from a shooter to a platformer to a point & click adventure between worlds, even the cinnamontography in the cutscenes................. wow. just wow. im just rly blown away
(i could say more abt this game but I dont want to ramble on forever lol)

But working with him, I completely see your point.
...cinnamontography?
Still my favorite Vinny video to this day. Hard choice to make since some are so classic, but this one is truly a testament to the best of Vinny.
I picked a good day to stay up until four in the morning that day.

It has been terminal 7 years since terminal 7.
this may have been one of the most wildest streams ive had the privilege of watching live, holy shit

“Listen to me Luigi. Mario, Peach, even Bowser… they’re all gone. There’s only one person who can actually help you. Her name’s Daisy. She’s a psychiatrist.”
I sense a sequel to Terminal 7 coming on...
Joker Luigi origin story? 😳
Luigi somehow survived terminal 7 and the previous installment was the psychological effects of that trauma.
This was one hell of an experience and I was so glad I saw it live. I love how we all thought it would be shit but by the end we were pretty much breathless. Gotta say, when Peach's castle shifts into the shitty shack it fucks me up every time.
Yes! I can see yours is too. Love her.
Part 6 is my favorite part so far, haven't read Parts 7 and 8 yet. If you like Jolyne you'll like Part 6.
What website are you reading it on? Kissmanga has all the parts, some chapters colored. And with good translations. If you're not reading it there then you should.
Oh that's so weird because I remember all the parts being there when I read it. I don't know any other websites. Sorry. :(
Mind if I crash the party
The fact that the lyrics "When the lights went out" comes out when the credit shows the name of the song in the middle is so good
This should've been the definitive conclusion to the Vinesauce channel
Isa1015 Terminal Seven: Reprise: T e r m i n a l E i g h t
Ever since I heard the Whitey song on the credits, I hardly ever go a full month without having listened to that song at least once.
i listen to it almost every day along with other songs of course
I'm so glad I watched this live. I almost always watch these on fullsauce but It was awesome actually being there for this amazing moment.

Same. I don't know why I watched it live since I usually watch Fullsauce.
That's exactly how I felt when I was there for the Japanese Pizza shop map on Sven Coop.
Seven years since terminal 7
I want this to be back and get a sequel but at the same time I feel it doesnt need more, it's perfect like this
i would love some sort of update but yeah its really perfect the way it is
And then Luigi discovered his other brother, Sponge. Sponge was able to remove the depression from Luigi and Mario's lives...

5:14 crazy to happen to be watching this 7 years after the initial upload. it's all 7s!
Can't wait for the eventual video on the main channel. This was a journey.
On the normal Vinesauce channel is there for-sure gonna' be an edited version of this? I was looking forward to this upload, but if there's gonna' be an edited/shortened version, I'll prolly wait 'til that shows up to post this on Facebook (that way I can put the edited vid in the Comments so people have an alternative to watching this hour and 45 minute version)...
why tf wouldn't it?
what the fuck are you talking about?
There's a second Vinesauce channel - This one posts entire streams, where-as the other Vinesauce channel shows clips of streams. Pretty much, that means if they post this on their "main channel" it'll be a very cut-down version. Might lose a bit, but it'll also be more approachable for people who don't wanna' spend almost two hours watching a stream (which is most people)...
Meh - I just posted this to Facebook, but I still hope they make a shorter version that's more accessible to peoples that have less motivation to sit down and watch stuff this lengthy...
I keep coming back to watch this like a movie.

This was an experience to watch live. To think this masterpiece came out of an improv that Vinny made while playing a Mario World corruption.
the long dark corridor before Mario's room and the entire latter half of this was masterful Jesus christ
not only thematically but I'm impressed as fuck as a Source modder myself, like the part with Peach's "castle"

Honestly this is good it just means that you have something to push yourself to rival this great game
Name it Terminal 8
Any updates?
Its been 7 years, i think the world is ready for terminal 8
Terminal 8 is what happened to that CEO. Luigi declined.

YES! This mod is enough to become a money maker, I'd pay for this! 10/10 for this.
Strange, I though this game was pretty dark from the beginning. Didn't had much impact at first i guess.
That underwater music could have been in an actual Mario game it was so good
I swear it was in the playlist for the soundtrack of this game but now it's gone.
I don't remember the name of it either. Just that it was from a puzzle game, with a cyber theme, and there was an ocean level which was where this came from. That's it.

Oh goodie, another upload from Vincent Vinesauce.
What the fuck.

I’m usually very critical of fan games to a degree but Terminal 7 fucking mastered subverting everyone’s expectations and went from a stupid little fan games to an amazing fan game that actually managed to give me goosebumps at around 1:27:35
it lowered everyone’s expectations just to blow everyone’s minds 30 minutes later and to me that’s fucking great
My life won't be the same after watching this game.
Agreed

Another happy, lighthearted Vinesauce Vinny Pizzapasta stream, ha ha!
7 years later and now there is a terminal 7 movie
A more successful thriller then most movies and games.
When the lights went out will be hitting differently after this stream.
I'm rewatching it for the second time.
I had a fever and was coughing up blood while watching this (Bronchitis). what an experience. It rivals me passing gallstones while watching Rev's first King's Quit stream
Oh my god, I feel so sorry for you but this comment made me laugh really hard
Coughing blood and gallstones = spitting image of health incarnate
I'm undoubtably sure that coughing up blood is really healthy
This is one of my favorite videos on the entire internet. I watched this when it came out, and the nostalgia is awesome. TERMINAL 7 BABY!
What started out as a light hearted SourceMod about a meme, would slowly dissolve into the official cannon for are young, unfortunate protagonist, Luigi, who escapes from his mental health ward in order to uncover the truth about his failing health.
Holy shit.
For all my talk about wild rides and crazy videos...
This was the wildest ride I've ever experienced on Vinesauce.
Just...
*Fuck,* dude.

Man, Half Life 3 is living up to my expectations
This was a beautiful love story. A love story between vinny and the comments he makes without thinking turning into something he wasn't expecting.
For anyone curious after this many years. Story basically is:
Luigi has terminal 7 brain cancer.
The Sunday Stream to end all Sunday Streams
What.

Thanks, Nooke, for this psychedelic fuckfest, and for making me *f e e l* at the apartment sequence.
Welp, looking at the comments, seems i'm in for quite something.
Edit: Holy Shit, it sure was, this stream will go down in Vinesauce history.
I like that the electrotherapy part of the final area gave you suit energy. Nice touch
On second thought. Let's not watch Vinesauce.
'Tis a silly channel.
Is that a monty python and the holy grail reference? nice meme m'sir
Actually, I was just quoting what Vinny said during the stream for those mad likes
What a strange person...
Blazingflare2000 what di he actually say again? I can t quite remember.
Said no one ever
Vinny deserves an award for the voice acting he did for Luigi throughout this.
This was such an amazing mod. Nooke did a superb job. I sometimes imagine scenarios built off of tiny, but quality jokes or quips or whatever from Vinny. This is exactly that in its purest, most sincere form. Really great. I hope people remember this, and that it gets archived forever.
This was actually amazing storytelling, and incredible use of a 15 year old engine.
Holy hell. This knocks the sonic dream collection stream out of the f***ing water. Also that vampire Luigi 1:04:58
I cried a little, this was one of the best vinny videos ever, great job Nooke, you made what should have been the Mario movie

Good on vinny for the improv throughout this video, made the story much more enjoyable and dramatic
Instant like and fave. Rewatched this several times after the stream ended on Twitch, glad to see it up on TH-cam.
Joshua S.G.G. Rewatched it several times? It's almost 2 hours long! Don't you have other things you should be doing?
Better wording would be "I re-listened to it several times while doing odds and ends", which is what I do during most of these streams. I enjoy listening to him talk.
Joshua S.G.G. Ah I get ya. I usually do that with a playlist of videos but I suppose a long stream like this could work the same.
At 1:17:00 the scary ambient music that plays in the dark is Arktau Eos, The Cyprus Watcher. Actually a halfway common ambient 'music' album. I started hearing it and wondered if I had accidentally clicked on it on another device or tab or something
this was a legendary stream. one for the books
I'm so glad I decided to watch the fullstream instead of the highlights. I'm very glad.
