In Sydney, Australia on the Hawksbury River we have a race called "The Bridge to Bridge" where we race these boats & people also Ski behind these boats. They usually had big block v8's in them and their scream was ear candy. I grew up tubing behind these boats, my parents and their friends used to do donuts in them to create wake and you would hit the wave at who knows what speed and it would bounce your tube like 10-15 in the air. So much fun.

in my personal opinion, some of the nicest motors in boat racing are the mercury 2.5 260-300 drag motors. 2 stroke v6 screaming 11k rpm. strap it to say a quarter master made from carbon fiber, you got a beautiful boat that sounds sick and runs 120mph in 800ft.

If there is ever a pt2 a suggestion is the mystic c5000 turbine, twin turbine each makes about 4000hp i think. It has set multiple world records (my way powerboat and quatar powerboat are both c5000 and have set world records)
My Way is 10 miles from my house just across the river in Canada. He's running twin Lycoming T-55 turbine's which is what is used in the Chinook helicopter and they are 3,000 SHP a piece
It's always a treat to see My Way running on the St. Lawrence River. I know it ran 224 mph at the Lake of the Ozarks shootout several years ago. I don't know if he has topped that number since then.

When you said Seahorse Power, I'm just imagining if one horsepower is the power of one horse, then one seahorse power is the power of one tiny little seahorse. Then I dove down a Google rabbit hole and found some probably not accurate calculation that 1 land horsepower has about 160 seahorse power.
You didn't even come close to the top. Cargo ships with house sized turbo diesel engines pushing over 150,000 horsepower. Also some guy tried to break the sound barrier on the water with a huge jet engine on a speed boat. He reach like 400 or 600 mph but unfortunately after several attempts, it catastrophically crashed and he didn't survive.
You guys should have checked out the Spirit of Australia when making this. It is the fastest boat in the world, and has held the world water speed record for 43 years and counting, anyone who has come close since has died in the attempt with their boats destroyed, those who did not, did not even come close to the speed it can reach. The Spirit can reach speeds in excess of 500 km/h, the only boat to ever do so. The most interesting thing about it though, is that it was built by hand, by one guy, in his back yard, on a shoe string budget, using an Australian Air Force surplus jet engine from the late 50s, bought for a song, and some wood and fibre glass. An absolute beast of a boat.
I've been on a 1800 seahorse powers, offshore race boat back in late 90s. The driver ripped it to 130mph. One of the coolest memories of my childhood. Haha

So it turns out the origin of the term "head" for a shipboard bathroom is so obvious it isn't obvious. The first shipboard bathrooms were created before flush toilets and modern plumbing. So they relied on seawater to flush human waste. The easiest way to bring seawater aboard and allow it to recede is to make a tiny vent or other small hole at the place water first comes into contact with the hull...the bow, or front of the ship, which used to be called...the head. Some heads looked like modern toilets, but those came later. The earliest ones were simple outhouse-style affairs...or even slatted seats. Modern plumbing is a very nice thing.

If there is ever a pt2 a suggestion is the mystic c5000 turbine, twin turbine each makes about 4000hp i think. It has set multiple world records (my way powerboat and quatar powerboat are both c5000 and have set world records)
My Way is 10 miles from my house just across the river in Canada. He's running twin Lycoming T-55 turbine's which is what is used in the Chinook helicopter and they are 3,000 SHP a piece
It's always a treat to see My Way running on the St. Lawrence River. I know it ran 224 mph at the Lake of the Ozarks shootout several years ago. I don't know if he has topped that number since then.

When you said Seahorse Power, I'm just imagining if one horsepower is the power of one horse, then one seahorse power is the power of one tiny little seahorse. Then I dove down a Google rabbit hole and found some probably not accurate calculation that 1 land horsepower has about 160 seahorse power.

Also some guy tried to break the sound barrier on the water with a huge jet engine on a speed boat. He reach like 400 or 600 mph but unfortunately after several attempts, it catastrophically crashed and he didn't survive.

You guys should have checked out the Spirit of Australia when making this. It is the fastest boat in the world, and has held the world water speed record for 43 years and counting, anyone who has come close since has died in the attempt with their boats destroyed, those who did not, did not even come close to the speed it can reach.
The Spirit can reach speeds in excess of 500 km/h, the only boat to ever do so.
The most interesting thing about it though, is that it was built by hand, by one guy, in his back yard, on a shoe string budget, using an Australian Air Force surplus jet engine from the late 50s, bought for a song, and some wood and fibre glass.

"The Head" called this because seaman used to climb out on the the netting at the front of the boat to poop. There were windows underneath, so they used to shout "HEADS!" before letting it go

So it turns out the origin of the term "head" for a shipboard bathroom is so obvious it isn't obvious.
The first shipboard bathrooms were created before flush toilets and modern plumbing. So they relied on seawater to flush human waste. The easiest way to bring seawater aboard and allow it to recede is to make a tiny vent or other small hole at the place water first comes into contact with the hull...the bow, or front of the ship, which used to be called...the head. Some heads looked like modern toilets, but those came later. The earliest ones were simple outhouse-style affairs...or even slatted seats.
Modern plumbing is a very nice thing.
