I have to say this, Zane is probably the producers favorite character considering he keeps coming back. Plus all his emotional sacrificial moments, he is my favorite character in the entire show just by his themes.

The man might be a machine,but he is more human than anyone in that series,no one gives this much without asking for anything in return,something that is commendable and admirable about Zane.
Zane has had such a roller coaster in terms of character and that's what makes him perfect and so special to watch. Like the whole Ice Emperor? Oof that just shows you what could happen to any of the ninja if they ever decided to go rogue.
Tbh i think these songs fit his life personally. He gets alot of sad moments especially when he didnt know he was a robot. He was made by an old man. Kai,cole,jay thought he was werid. He sacrificed his life to save ninjago. He was banished to the neverland.
I think both Zane and Dr. Julian and even the original master of ice had the saddest life cuz Julian was so lonely all he did was buimd machines and at one point he built his own son...he lived in solitude all by himself just with machines..even when he was in the lighthouse cuz of samuki he built another son...Zane didn’t even know his father or anything til he found out and it was really sad when he found out..then Julian died off screen and Zanes reaction was really mature which I loved and then Zane died...so everyone else can live..and the master of ice I feel like he was so lonely he didn’t have any sons or daughters to pass down his powers to so he had to find a robot..it’s really sad like All of these characters I feel have had the saddest life in ninjago being so lonely all their lives before Wu found Zane he was just alone for so long not knowing who his parents were or anything..it’s sad

Zane is an incredible character. I am shocked by how many sacrifices he's made, even though it is likely to lead to death. He is calm, as he is bold. (Also, I am in love with the music and what power and emotions the producers put into these theme instrumentals. And thank you for creating this video, it would've taken me so long to try and find these.)

A really underrated track, in my opinon, is _The Tinkerer's Tale._ It's one of my favorite tracks using the Zane/Doctor Julien leitmotif. Especially that bit at 9:26. I almost tear up when listening to that part, honestly. It's beautiful. So... Not quite sad, but just a bit... Remorseful. Bittersweet. This soundtrack, along with a few others like Zane's death music, pretty much any iteration of Garmadon's theme, Harumi's theme, and that soundtrack from Master of the Mountain that plays in Cole's flashback (Not sure if it's supposed to be his theme or his mother's) are all great examples of the fact that this show and its soundtrack can really make you feel invested in its story. The people who say Ninjago is just a giant commercial with no heart and soul put into it, or that it stopped being interesting around Season 5 and it "died," are clearly looking at it through the wrong lens. Is it made to promote plastic toys? Sure. But damnit, if it isn't the most captivating and emotional series I've watched that was made to promote plastic toys...
I have to say this is very eye opening. Being able to compare all these themes is pretty fun, and noticing motifs and paralels in the music s great. Zanes theme i probably my favorite in the show, with just how much it connects with other pieces from the show, (For instance, I believe Zanes True Potential theme is the only original True Potential theme, and you parts of it play during The Final Battle, and don't even get me STARTED on Pixals theme (It's so good)) Note: I am only half way through the video
I don't remember the Ice Emperor scenes, I probably stopped watching before them considering I was younger when I watched the Ninjago series. Though I'm really excited to get to them considering I'm re-watching the show. And MAN these themes can hit hard!
Zane is my absolute favorite in this show but I honestly feel they didn’t him dirty after the movie. In the first few seasons we was an incredible built character with great skills. But as the show went on he became more fragile. His personality is still there but not as much as earlier. But this music reminds of the classic Zane that I love.

In the beginning, Zane felt connection to the falcon. He had no family, but that bird just felt familiar. He had no theme before that, so it makes sense the Falcon's theme is his first theme.

I agree. Zane is the most spiritual and Zen like of all the Ninja. And he's been through a lot. The composer's did a good job of representing that.
And he was electroshocked by the mechanic and nearly passed out because it was the only way to power the portal.
