Yeah hi mate I need to ask question I took my RC car 1.8 out today tried it didn't seem to have much going top end was ok but starting off is very sluggish I've tried putting more fuel in out of the lower needle it doesn't seem to doesn't want to seem to go as quick as it does
Hi Buddy...I've just brought a electric nitro engin heater, the same one as yours, what battery do I need to run it... Regards Gary. ( ex- Essex boy now living in Liverpool)
so coming from your experience, the savage is a beast that just doesnt break (except for some small replaceable parts) under the conditions you have driven it.
I have just purchased once of these, when I turn controller on I cant get it connected to the car and the fail safe us just flashing red at me can any one help im new to the rc world
At 13.50, did you ever figure out the binding in the the transmission when you roll it backwards? My Savage X did the same thing and it's the dogbone binding in the brake hub/drive cup. My solution was to replace the worn pin in the end of the dogbone with a snapped drill bit cut a longer than the original dogbone pin. That way the pin wouldn't run in the worn-out slot part of the brake hex and instead on an area that was smooth. Worked like a charm and no more clickety when braking and smooth rolling in either direction. Hope that makes sense.
askin how can i get a hpi rc over here in the united states if you know how let me know are do you know a way i can order one over there if so thank you
Well there are loads of videos of HPI cars in USA so you must be able to buy them. Have you tried your local shops? If not you can order direct from HPI
@@HaggardRC there is not any over here at all trust me some of the shops do not have any at all and no friend i am not lookig for any one to give me one cause that is not right i have tried hpi and still no good just saying
Just 1 great way: for easy savage 3 speed transmission adjusting, just turn in 3. gear adjustment to maximum and change the claws of 2nd and 3. gear. In this case you ll be able to adjust second gear from outside without dissambling whole time. Your 1-2. claw will change to 1 to 3. gear. But u can adjust the shifting point from outside. When done change back and adjust 3 gear from outside as written in description. Easy way to adjust. Just dissamble transmission 2 times for whole adjustment progress.Your welcome and keep nitro-savaging great
i am not from rc community, please explain how it works, i am really can't understand how ratio are changes, where is gear selector...? mystery for me.
yep 2003 i believe when the savage come out,, upgraded to all metal 3 spd gearbox , wore engine out put in 5.9 with supercharger ,,only a few dogbone failures but its all stock still going strong, weakest link one way starter bearing,,,and rims hex nut wears it out,, i have the gear box assembly instructions if you need them, i keep all info ... thinking about a flux motor and keep 3 spd tire of 50 bucks a gallon of fuel and the nitro isn't fresh and the 5.9 needs good 30% to run if its not good its very hard to tune with supercharger,,
Nice one Rusty I have a 3 speed gearbox with reverse module in my savage but never been able to get it into 3rd gear either might give it a go now this weekend
Hi Dusty, how did you get on with that gearbox? I've got that system too, but I've converted to brushless. I can adjust it from outside to change gear but I can't tell if it's only doing 2 gears or 3...? Any advice greatly appreciated... Thanks..
@@geoffreyheirman2379 I use the original mechanical braking system from the servo, and set the ESC to forward only, no brake, no drag brake, no reverse..... Reverse is done via the original upgrade module.. 🙂
Hi bud, can see this is an old video. Just wondering if you managed to sort the gearbox? I've mastered these and can help you get this changing gear. Let me know and we'll chat. Cheers
Hi, just broke mine out after about 5 years. Got it running and the engine Is working great. However the transmission seems to go into this neutral randomly when driving, where the clutch bell and spur gear are still spinning, but the wheels do not. If I hit the gas, it revs really high but does not move. After about 10 seconds, the gears stop spinning and reengage, where I can drive it again. I have a 3 speed transmission in there as well, any idea where these issues are coming from? My first though was the spur gear slipper pad, but that was not the problem, so it has to be coming from the transmission. I also cracked the gear box open, and all gears seem to be in good shape. Thanks!
I'd check your driveshaft screw pins. Follow the dog bone from your brake to the rear diff tower and you'll see a connection coupling. In that there's screwpin that connects them. If that pin is missing, there's your problem. Check both front and rears. I'm pretty sure that's your problem, you will need order a new screw pins and use a thread lock to stop it happening again.
@@adamkeene6371 My rear dog bone broke so I try to see if the front one will fit it and it didn’t so I put the one in the front back and then from there I would gas it and it would only rev front tires wouldn’t move at all
