I kind of like the review by Zack. Straight to the point and most importantly the objectiveness of the review and pricing as most car reviewers do not talk about pricing.
Zach. I never owned a diesel engine car before last year , when I picked up a low mileage Audi TDI with that same 6cyl engine in that Cayenne. OMG, I can't tell you guys how much I love driving that car...so quiet and so powerful. Those engines are torque monsters...climbing steep hills outside of Denver at altitude 85mph ...engine only at 1900 rpm's !! Unreal. Excellent gas mileage US 34-36 mpg, with a distance range of 620 miles per tank. The Audi & Porsche diesels are way more sophisticated than those little VW 4 cylinders...and another big difference is they use Ad Blue additive to cut way down on any pollution. I would have to agree with Zach ... if they can get the diesel thing straitened out...that would certainly be something to seriously consider. By the way, diesel gas is cheap..same as regular. No one wants to knowingly drive a car that is a big polluter , but with an engine this refined and well designed that uses ad blue and gets such awesome gas mileage...I can't believe it doesn't have a future on US and Canadian roads.
Do you still have it? How has it been reliability wise! I agree with you on the torque. It is the biggest selling point for me with the added fuel economy
Thanks for a great review, Zack. I am going to buy a SUV but have not decided yet. I am wondering which car is quieter in your opinion: Ranger Rover Sport or Cayenne?
You really need to drive the models you are choosing back-to-back to find out. Each version of the Range Rover and Cayenne has a different exhaust note. The Porsche sound sportier to me.
Hi, I really enjoy this video, and it is useful. Right now, I am wondering macan turbo and normal cayenne. they are the same price in my cities' Porsche store. So which one do you prefer? thx so much
Hope you have some video that compare fuel efficiency between TDI diesel vs gasoline (such as how much you can save when using V6 TDI per 1000 kms when compare to V6 gasoline)
Thanks for the video Zack. I wish your Driving Television program had as many new video segments as your TH-cam channel does. I got tired frankly of watching continuously repeated episodes every weekend.
Hey Zach, I'm curious as to why you recommend the Cayenne, yet dumped yours? I thought you had a couple kids to haul around, no? I know your Audi sedan has the 3.0 TDI but the Cayenne does or will offer it again soon. On another note, I think the buttons on the bottom of the console would cause more accidents than if they were in front of you. Looking down, you don't see the road, looking ahead at them at least you have some peripheral vision of the road ahead. Sorry, just ranting, I do enjoy your videos!
Nicely presented perspective on the Cayenne, Zack. It always helps when a reviewer actually has a history with the vehicle being reviewed. Question - how would you recommend purchasing a Porsche like this; cash, lease or finance and which did you choose?
Don't waste your time on the Base V6, its a cow off the line. When it finally gets to speed, it handles well, but don't expect it to be able to get out of its own way. Great car for going to grocery store and hauling stuff, but very unthrilling power.
Forget the diesel. The oil companies have raise the price of a gallon to where it's more expensive to drive diesel even with the greater milage. Do the math. Sucks gas? Our 2011 and 2013 when traded in at 24,000 and 28000 miles had average milage at 26.1 and25.6 respectively. We'll see what our 2016 does.
7.6 seconds to 60 is not fast... a honda Accord is faster and if you want to compare Heavy weight to Heavy weight, a BMW X6, cheaper but offers the same dynamics and awesome handling is only 5.6 seconds to 60mph. even in the base 3L engine!
Great video! What was the price of this car as tested? I enjoyed the review but find it unsettling you are recommending a car that is currently banned from all sales over here in North America
Diesel are too loud with the clank, clank, clank sound too! Plus, some diesel will not start up in the cold weather climate and it costs more to service too. Parts are almost nonexistent too unless you get a back order to Germany for them! I don't know why you want to recommend a diesel since your Porsche is gasoline power!?
John Vu : last I heard Volkswagen group owns Porsche, but Porsche is majority holder. VW also owns Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, and several others...they are the worlds largest car Mfg.
One of the best looking interiors i have ever seen in any vehicle ever
how about now
100 percent agree

I really depends on what you need. For grocery shopping, taking kids to school..the base model is more than enough.
Great review as always. The only disappointing thing about the diesel Cayenne is that we can't get the Diesel S in North America

Hi thank you very much, I trying to save up for one, it will just take time.
Best of luck!

+kwk1 Loved the Cayenne but after 10 years of SUV ownership, needed a change and back to a car for a while. Might get the next Cayenne
Love the interior color. Is that Agate or saddle brown? I think I might be colorblind!
Whats your jacket ?
Great review
Thank You!
I'd be getting the V6. In America, we sadly only have straight roads, so it doesn't matter to much. And highways every way you turn.

+astrogen1960 We purchased ours but run the numbers on all options and see what works for you. Leasing is a good bet for many.
Thank you. Porsche's higher resale/residual value, makes it a tricky call.
TDI is legal for sale again! Awesome engine.
Good Review Thanks.
thanks for observe
+motormouth Canada do you live in Vancouver
Nice neighbourhood driving in Shaughnessy
still seems a lot of buttons on the central console..
One question...WHAT YEAR IS THIS CAR?
Either a 2016 or 2017….based on age of video…yes I also found it strange the year was never mentioned….
Is that the rose-gold model
hopefully you can get hands on the new audi Q7 reecently
+gary zhao Re-badged VW!

Why are they making a special on line review for the Canadian market.. It's too small . kilometers?! Ugggh!

I wonder if I can purchase a Cayenne diesel model from Canada and get it "papered" for here in the U.S.?
Nice review but I'd like to know where can you get a $67 thousand dollars Porsche Cayenne? Coz they start at $89 thousand canadian.
TDI... oh boy Volkswagen really screwed up.
What are you thoughts on the new 2016 hybrid option? Would you recommend the diesel over the hybrid?
Did you ever getting the answer to your question? What was better the diesel or hybrid?
@@prabeeshsidhu Never got an answer to that question.
So, the Porsche 911 is a Volkswagen? The Audi R8 is a Volkswagen? Or did Volkswagen buy Porsche?

Diesel? Got to be kidding on Porsche too! LOL!

The design is terrible. Would rather have a base x5 or gle
