Very nice review. Would you consider the new GTS as good of a regular family car in vancouver as the S? Comfort, handling, options for the money? Thanks!
Yıldıray Öztürk If the VW platform was not available the Cayenne would not exist. They are not really the same vehicle even though they share some of the same engineering platform.
Hey Zack would a 2013 Porsche Cayenne be expensive to own? How would the maintenance costs compare to a Lexus RX or GX? Would there be a significant difference? Want to buy a SUV and it's between these three; 2014 Lexus GX, 2016 Lexus RX or 2013 Porsche Cayenne, which would you recommend taking into account overall quality but also cost to own?
These are very well made products but maintaining them can be very expensive. A brake job can be $3000. If you can find one with a certified pre-owned warranty, that is your best bet. Lexus makes very reliable cars but also very boring, the Cayenne is just as well made but will cost more to maintain.
Motormouth Canada Thanks for the reply! So both cars are very reliable, however maintenance costs like brake jobs, oil changes etc. will be significantly more expensive for the Porsche? But otherwise the Cayenne is the better vehicle?
Lmomjian same. When I see nice cars like this with any "off roading" capability, it's to be used for bad weather. Like if it snows, it'll be easier to drive on if you need to.
I saw a video from Canada likely near you it was a Porsche cayenne Mechanic and he said don't buy a Porsche cayenne under any circumstances they are a badly made vehicle with a lot of problems 'slough there is a lot of people has them in Canada 'and he went on to say all the problems'''' 'guys before you buy please watch that video it's on here somewhere 'it will shock you '
@@Motormouth... I`m driving my Cayenne S E-hybrid for 5 years and more than 100.000 km now with maximum enjoyment and without any disturbance, often with full speed far beyond 200 km/h ( in Germany ). Perfect!
Yeah you WERE 'a Porsche cayenne OWNER 'smart guy 'you likely saw how much they are to run 'ive got a Lexus rx and wouldn't swap its realibility has been sublime no faults at all in nearly 400000 miles 'beat that porche 'I know and you know that Porsche hasn't a snow balls chance in hell 'making it to 400000 miles stevie
Claustrophobic interior with bad visibility out front and back. Too many buttons switches, cubbies, and materials of different color and texture. The interior feels like it was designed by a committee of housewives. Tiny rear view mirror with tiny back window=bad visibility. It is not back in your seat fast. It is an American muscle car with transmission holding the engine back. Air suspension is badly designed. You feel every little pebble in your seat and steering wheel even on the perfect asphalt highway in Comfort mode. Cayenne feels heavy even with 3,6L V6. I will not be buying one.
Porsche just keeps raising the bar!
I'm buying in a month.....Great video
Great video. Brought Cayenne diesel after watching this. Fantastic SUV! Amazing economy for this new diesel model. Beautiful Suv overall !!
Do you still have it! How has it been?
One Word- "Awesome"..

It hurts my eyes to see such nice cars off-road

So, would you take the Cayenne S over the diesel?
***** Diesel all the way, I love torque for a bigger vehicle and in the city nothing beats a diesel...
Motormouth Canada Diesel don't like city, they're build for highway. And the V6 T of the S has a lot of low-end torque.
dufonrafal
Porsche have their vehicles including the diesel set up for a sports feel. Their diesels are very impressive.
Did u guys notice that he says Macan instead of Cayenne
Dreamy
im gonna buy it send me the price and everything to me by e-mail....
Pls delete this review early in the New Year 4 when the wife gets to #Comox otherwise I may never get a GL450 :'( diesel.
Why would you want a GL450? Mercedes are junk...speaking from experience.

I've owned two Cayenne models and they have both been perfect, no issues.
