Good guide! Prot pally definitely has a lot going for it this time around. I think holy pally is still not going to pass priest in healing output but 100% will remain MT/OT healers, thanks to beacon.
Aegis is actually a really nice change, it will allow Ret pallies to offtank and even if you go full prot then you can skip redoubt to take imp devo aura and toughness for a ton more armor. I'm actually most excited to play 2h shockadin in pvp since holy pallies can technically take Aegis + Crusader strike + excorcist. Since holy pally gear late game has a huge amount of spell damage, we will be able to blast people with exorcism, holy shock and hit people a 2h with improved seal of righteousness.
I have a feeling shields will be overkill for tanking in the BFD raid. Divine Storm here with a 2H is probably the best for tanking. You might even then be able to drop Consecrate and go deeper into Ret instead. Avenger’s Shield typically requires a shield to use but actually does not specify here, so you may still be able to take it.
Doesn't prot use retri aura? And the strength doesn't do much from the holy tree because all their threat comes from holy damage. Don't they want more intel?
you can switch the in the fly depending on the pulls, for aoe can throw ret aura and for bosses devo, before ret aura was more usefull cause the source of threat was more limited than now with AS or martyr
Faction imbalance is going to be HUGE why would i roll horde when i can play a ret paladin with crusader strike, divine storm and windfury? im playing alliance for the first time ever due to ret paladins being so op .i just dont want to deal with it on horde if i pvp. oh yea and night elf hunters with shadowmeld casting aim shot, explosive shot and arcane shot from stealth before you can react isnt broken in pvp at all.
That's going to be annoying but it's got nothing on shadow priest dotting 3 people at once with an entire extra dot + 20% more dmg on flay or having warlocks wear full tank gear while blasting people with demonic spells.
These are just the runes they have shown us up to lvl 25. Don't forget that in classic Illumination is 100% mana return on spell crits. We never had 100% mana return AND beacon of light at the same time, when they introduced it in TBC they nerfed illumination to 60%. Later in the game as crit goes up, that means a single pally is just spamming crit heals on two targets at once and can take divine sacrifice to mitigate a ton of damage which also gives 10% more healing for 10 secs after it expires. Based on the style of changes, I'd be willing to be that holy is going to see something like having consecration get an AOE range increase with a healing component to it or have the casting of judgement heal the group or simply add a small stackable hot onto the direct heals
@@theperfectbeing problem is at 25 flash of light is rank 1 and does under under 100 healing. HL is going to be to slow. Hopefully they add some more healing
Blizzard had 20 years to thin k about this and they still did it worse than Project Ascension? Typical. Also 2004 graphics still. WTF are you trying to do here
This is why many will return to wow .. seriosly that was my dream since classic wow
Me too!! Hopefully the toxicity from others versions will stay away!
Prot pally lvl 40 cap will be shiet.... you cn grab holy shield then but lose conscencration....
Threat increase on RF is not BY 80%. It's TO 80. Up from 60 if im not mistaken.

increases righteous fury TO 80% not BY 80%. you'll prolly still want threat increased talents
I wish avenger's shield had a silence added to it, like it used to have would be fun in pvp.
So does improved righteous fury still stack with the 80% you get from hand of reckoning?

OMG your right Nelf are gnna be God Mode.. yeah faction balance will suffer, especially in Ph1. Lets see what the rest of the season brings
why the fuck are you spamming this on every video about SoD ? Dont like it ? Dont play it then , its simple.
hah, just wait till a dual wield enh shaman hits you 12 times instantly or ele 1 taps you
yeah I think thats the point of SoD... trying out new things. will there be imbalances? ofc but at least we're gonna have fun

Holy isnt looking great. FoL at 25 is lvl 1 Rank and heals for very little. Beacon is great but the only heal worth casting is HL and its so slow.

Why make Asension when it already exists?
