Except Misaka's power is a lot more realistic than Magento. Magneto's power is so inconsistent cuz a lot of writers confuse magnetism with graviton control. Notice Misaka didn't fly or hover in mid-air, she just slowed down her descent.

The scene makes it seem so that She can have another electricity on the ground to latch herself and slow her descend (At least that's my assumption), but isn't electricity will get dispersed when they hit the ground?

In this case some of her scenes got cut cause the index anime really need to fit in 26 episode only.

@@micah2887 Its Just because they needed Touma having much more Character Developement with Index to have a Reason for ,,Self-Sacrifice". That's why maybe Mikasa will Play a much more important in the upcoming Parts. Railgun Season 3 was basically Index Season 2, but from Mikasa's sight.
Well, this season 3 would be the height of the story up to that moment if it wasn't so poorly adapted. Even Misaka had a small part in that war, she fought and invaded the Russian military base to stop them from destroying the floating fortress in which Touma was, but the anime cut that part. If we have a season 4, we will see Misaka starting to face the magical side .
That's because she's a high schooler and frankly, just because she's a female, doesn't HAVE to be sexualized either. Edit: It's also usually chilly in Russia.
