Thank you for the video. Great to hear about fight and flight response in entrepreneurs, I didn't know that was in common across many people

Thanks Michaela. I found the discussion of coffee particularly interesting. Several regarded experts suggest a moderate amount of coffee has positive effects on brain functioning and might lessen the offset of alzheimers and parkinsons etc. I did learn something new however. I've never considered any side effects such as glucose production from cortisol may be offset with food. So many mixed opinions. A moderate amount with a splash of soy or almond milk seems ok. I also like 16/8 mediterean based diets. Any thoughts? Thanks Michaela. Cheers.

Thanks, so glad you enjoyed this episode. Yes interesting isn’t it, how coffee can impact cortisol. But yes coffee with a splash of milk isn’t a problem if you have some protein first.
The Mediterranean is the most studied diet, and it has a plethora of health benefits especially when you prioritise olives/olive oil, nuts, seeds & veggies.
16/8 is good, it depends on the person though, highly stressed it can have a negative impact. My thoughts are, you can fast as long as you like (ie 16 hours) as long as you eat within one hour of waking. Of course for some people this may not work, but for the majority of people this is the best way to keep that cortisol in check and keep the physiological stress down
