    I had a relationship with a covert narcissist - they are the worst - they first appear so kind - humble.. then wham! They begin the 'victim' play.. so you feel sorry for them & stayed hooked longer.. only to realize a bit later what they are doing. They don't become aware - self-reflect - or change.. they get worst & more child-like.

      I had the same. A continuous round of pity plays from beginning to the end. I called it the "save me mode" it was her default stance. It turned out that it was everyone else's job to save her as she limped from one crisis to another. I didn't understand it at the time but I do know.

    • @ioanaanaoi8232
      @ioanaanaoi8232 3 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Covert are the worse! Humble until they know you're hooked and then bam... they became grandiose. Mine did like this. The humble man I rescued from big trouble comes one day to me and says: only if you knew how many women want me.
      I was done that very moment. My narc traits kicked in and kept him on the hook (love bombing him) until I manage to discard him just like the boys! (Narc style).
      He hoovered me , I answered to each hoover (at that time I wasn't aware of this narc phenomenon) but I was very careful about the first sign of devalue coming from him when I discarded him again. Went through few cycles like this (shorter and shorter) in each cycle I was less and less involved until the final discard I did 6 months ago. I did it instinctively, did't know about all the stuff I realize now that with each cycle I was getting more and more closure because with each cycle I impose stricter and stricter boundaries that made him to become more and more vicious. Lot of horrific memories that keep me away for good.
      I am writing all these in the hope that it might help someone who is struggling to get out and is fighting strong feelings towards the abuser.
      Girls, at each devalue you're suffering think that you're special and don't deserve it, become more narcissistic yourself, love yourself more as the narc shows you less love. Keep the love for yourself steady. What you are losing from him take it away from what you give him and give it to yourself until you have none to give him. Make his discard as easy a walk in the park.

    • @ioanaanaoi8232
      @ioanaanaoi8232 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      When he starts devaluing you, love bomb him and see what he does with your love. See how he shreds your love, how he spits and puts his heels hard on it. You cannot get greater closure than this.
      Do not allow no one to devalue you in any way.
      All the trouble with narc abuse comes exactly from this allowing to be devalued. Provoke him to make the way he devalues you bigger (by love bombing him) to make sure he is a narc and when you're ready discard him.
      Turn the table.
      Only narcs devalue someone that shows them more and more love because only narcs consider love to be a weakness.

  • @anndillard8681

    This is hauntingly spot on. My narc punched me, shoved me, and destroyed thousands of dollars of my property. Unprovoked, just our of the blue. It was like a switch got flipped and the rage emerged. They believe their feelings are reality. If they feel their house is on fire, despite the absence of smoke or fire, it's real to them and they react as such. But, the thing that breaks my heart the most is that my narc never actually loved me despite telling me I was loved thirty times per day. My mind can't seem to make sense of this.And, yes, there are legal consequences for my narc. My narc is looking at prison time.

    Geez, you can see how intelligent and driven HG is. His brain doesn't stop , it's always thinking on a high and detailed level. It seems exhausting.
    So Narcissism is basically created out of lack of control environment. So a narcissist is driven by the need to always assert and obtain control.

    • @LindaSaffioti
      @LindaSaffioti ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s something about this lack of control environment that isn’t quite explained fully.
      Seems it’s more neglect. The child must form their shell of protection, fails to bond emotionally and develop those healthy interactions.

    • @nichobee
      @nichobee ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LindaSaffioti that's why he is broad with his wording, parental neglect is certainly a common reason but it could be anything from spoiling their kids to heavy school yard bullying. These negative experiences cause the child to lack control, and so they develop a mindset to pathologically seek it elsewhere. It's a coping mechanism that they're eternally trapped inside. That's why they take so much pride in personal achievements, because it's literally all they have to live for.

    Empath also seeks control, but for the reason of not getting hurt. That's why many empaths live like hermits. In their own little world where they can control their environment, ensuring it doesn't hurt them.

    Just a few years ago, I realized, one reason I attract narcissists.. is that I am an empath.. so it's been a clear awareness.... I was reared by narcissists and was a caregiver - shy - a people pleaser.. never thought I was good enough.. then throughout my life I realized much - how manipulated I always was by narcissists.. my book DADDY THROWS ME IN THE AIR - memoir/self-help... a tool to assist in awareness and healing..

    And, just like with any addiction, the empath eventually has a moment of clarity and suddenly the emptiness and falseness of the narc becomes clear and the "charm" is exposed for what it is: a trap!! 🪤 It feels good to recognize it for what it is, because the empath is NOT the disordered individual (although the narc would have us believing otherwise)

    ❤☮️ oh, thank you for this interview with H. G. Tudor! Very enlightening. Especially about “am I a narcissist?” Reflecting on my past I recognized a season of narc behavior. But the fact I do “reflect” means I’m not, and I thank God for that.
    About a year ago I figured out my sis had been infected with narcissism. Devastating for me as the previous year I realized my mom was a covert narcissist! Mom passed in 2022, and my sister’s behavior was BIZARRE and nothing but pure hate toward me. I restricted communication to only email or snail mail due to texting abuse and threats. She manipulated mom into making her and my step brother the executors of her tiny property. She thought she’d been made the Queen of World!
    Been working on healing. Still spending much of my time in books and videos like these.
    Understanding CPTSD and developmental trauma is critical to healing! 😊😊😊
    Thank you again! 🙏🏻

    "I had no idea what I was dealing with". That's always how it begins. From day ONE. Including our earliest family members. I've witnessed my own siblings have a full on hateful relationship with our own parents...and yet as the youngest myself... forever trying my whole life to help all of them. Finally had to step away from all of them year's ago. Every single one of them attacked me in one way or another for my apparent naivety...I never followed the programming. And yet my siblings who did... Would call me for guidance, support and advice for year's until my own life with a narcissist became unbearable. That's when my entire birth family attacked me. Quite amazing 😒

    H.G. Tudor was the first 'learning' I found in my search to find out why? He helped me so much. Once HG finally got it through to me, I awakened to the facts of narcissism and that empowered me to go no contact. I don't even have a word to describe how I feel knowing I walked away from my narcissist soon to be ex husband! I went no contact a year and 3 months ago and have never looked back! Oh yes, I did come as close as I have ever been too death of my soul but with my God in Heaven above I made it! I pray for anyone in the position I was in, may you also have the courage and strength to walk away 🙏🏼

Courage and strength will help you to your properly choose your right mode of action, which is when to walk away, without curiosity following you to go toward the narcissist. THEY DON'T CARE, ABOUT YOU, AND HOW YOU ARE, OR HOW YOU HAVE TO STRUGGLE, OR HOW YOU FEEL, BECAUSE THEY ARN'T GENUINE.

    Thank you, Paula. It validates many issues we deal with. I wondered why you didn't explore spirituality but then I realized you did. No love= no ability for a spiritual connection. This issue kept me stuck for 41 years. I believed I could help him and he in turn would help me...until I was no longer recognizable to myself. Divine order:
    1.Spirit.
    2.Mind, will, heart/ emotions
    3.Body
    Addiction to narcissism will seperate self from spirit. It locks one onto emotions to deflect from rational thinking. In a mistaken attempt to soothe chaos, I allowed my mind to be diverted from Holy Spirit and consumed by carnality/body. The narcissist only relates at the level of mind to body. The transaction . The con. The constant cognitive dissonance that keeps one believing and holding out in hope. Breadcrumbing. I found out one can literally starve oneself to death from the defensive posture they seek to keep us contained in... and that is rock bottom. Validation is a spiritual negotiation with a loving source. It's freedom and peace. Even alone. My take anyway. God bless the journey. ♡

    Last year when the situationship ended with the narc I was watching and listening to many videos on TH-cam.
    I admit that I couldn’t listen to HG and the reason why, because he was the one who spoke the real raw truth which shocked me. I wasn’t ready to hear the brutal real truth about NPD and come to terms with the reality of the situation. Almost a year later armed with the knowledge HG is the one I can listen too and understand with greater clarity the true disorder.

    HG's channel helped me a lot. I like his schools and cadres of narcissists, it makes a lot more sense than the standard descriptions. Before watching HG, I couldn't pin point where the one I dealt with sat. He seemed to be an amalgamation of ovet, malignant, covert, neglectful etc. Also, because I wasn't in a long term relationship with him, a lot of channels don't discuss the secondary source dynamic. HGs channel confirmed I was a IPSS, I also submitted the details into the Narc Detector test and HG confirmed and explained that the guy I dealt with was an upper mid-range elite. This validated that I wasn't nuts but also sad, as even though my gut feeling was right, I wanted it to be wrong and that Ii could still somehow fix it and also that there's still hope for him to be a good man, but no, I had to let that hope go.

    Just fyi.... I have come back and listened to this interview three times now.
    I have 3 of H.G. Tudor books which all helped me a few years back .
    I cannot imagine never having heard that first video I heard of his .... not having not read the books I read.
    They are like nothing else and a VITAL part of my understanding of what I had indeed experienced.
    The way he regards and views empaths I think is more true to form to us than the majority of pod casters .
    That a Narcissist is most “attracted” to an Empath has always been obvious to me. We are good Souls. Period.
    Being condemned and often regarded as a “co dependent” by so many authors, doctors, coaches and pod casters always alarmed me.
    He without being questioned on that answered it simply by telling you in this interview that an empath was far over the choice between that and another Narcissist !
    I could go on and on.
    I believe they are “designed” and “engineered” in a way NONE of us can know FOR SURE . Be it genetic predisposition or childhood injuries alone~ or a combination .
    For me...it is impossible NOT to believe it is of malevolent and demonic origins . And connected to eVery chaotic and dim~ low vibrational EVIL on Earth.
    God Bless anyone in their pathway.
