its so good! rode it a couple months back... and it was soooo good.
This park looks awesome, probably the best Herschend park. Plus the coaster lineup is great. The prototype RMC topper Woodie, the first Mack xtreme spinner, and a premier water coaster converted to an S&S air launch coaster… keep up the good work!
Outlaw Run is smoother than 95% of woodies out there, I have no idea what your complaint is ever about 😂
What I don't think Sophia realizes is how lucky she is to have a Dad who is a coaster enthusiast. She is one lucky girl lol
I am a coaster enthusiast myself, but it doesn't run in my family, which does make it more difficult for me to travel.
My dad loved roller coasters until he rode sfmm goliath opening weekend before the brakes hit so hard. He greyed on the helix and never rode another roller coaster. Shame too, we were just getting started.
I'm the Dad that wants to take my kids on adventures like this and neither of them, nor my wife, care to go to theme parks. It might be that they're High School age now? It's also going to be more difficult for me to squeeze trips in going forward.

My most recent trip there was horrible. The only coasters that open were Fire In The Hole and Thunderation.

Yeah. Dollywood had the same issue with Timesaver lines. They were frequently hidden, and often far off from main line. Tennessee Tornado and Mystery Mine were the worst offenders, and basically had you enter a backstage area.
Canobie Lake Park is 20 minutes from here and after COVID happened I didn't go there for over two years. I wasn't staying away from parks *entirely* during that whole time, it's just that I started going back to parks, I went to Six Flags New England and Lake Compounce, and Canobie somehow fell through the cracks. It was nice to finally get back there though.
It was the grace of God that powder keg was open, that ride will shut down probably one time every hour!
This is one of my top bucket list parks it looks great.

I can relate! Went there mid-November for ACE Coaster Christmas and it was when we had one of those cold spells. Saturday was mid-30s which meant only Thunderation and Fire in the Hole were open and it was packed. Saw a couple shows and got Xmas shopping done. Went back Sunday where the forecast was like the day you had. Hit Outlaw Run, Wildfire and Powder Keg at their openings and got multiple rides. Then hit up Time Traveler as much as we could until it closed down the rest of the day. Lapped Outlaw Run that night with about 5 others. I'd rather it be warmer, for sure, but overall found it surprising I could enjoy the rides while it being as cold as it was.
At this point, it’s only a matter of time until Amie’s train credit count surpasses my coaster credit count.

I went to SDC 1 time in 45-50 degree weather and I was very underwhelmed with Time Traveler, but considering that you said it’s “much slower than usual,” I should probably get back there sometime soon!
My niece would love all those lights, and the trees. She’s fascinated by both, she’s going to have a hell of a first Christmas.

I was at SDC in October, and Outlaw Run was also running pretty smooth back then. We caught a night ride, which was awesome - forceful of course, but not rough

Went on black Friday last year the lighting ceremony phenomenal but the crowd was insane even with all rides open
Love the holiday decorations. Pretty. Canada's Wonderland has Winterfest on. Sure it's cool. Amy is a cutie. Bummer she didn't get her train credit. Where is this park located? I hate the cold. Go find a Coffee shop or some cocoa. Enjoyed the video.

Silver dollar city my place of employment until 2020. Time traveler is definitely my favorite when I was the early out I’d ride it until the park shut down or I’d a crossed park and hop on wildfire and powderkeg multiple times.

I went down to Branson for vacation and is still there. Went to SDC yesterday and it’s once again amazing! Every ride is running well, but Thunderation was closed, but besides that, it was awesome!

Hey, I was there that day! I arrived around 4pm, because I was at Sight & Sound Theatre for their morning show. Outlaw Run was a walk-on at night, after everyone had left. Temperature stayed at 34 degrees all evening, so Outlaw Run was barely able to stay open. I got on the other rides on Friday & Sunday. Wildfire back row, far left seat is the best seat for airtime.
I did see Outlaw Run with an hour wait in October on a Sunday. It somehow had the longest line in the park, but Octobers are always weird in parks.
Seems like everyone was bolting after 7pm so im sure it was nice and empty at night

I made it to SDC for the first time ever this year. Thunderation was unfortunately closed the couple days we were there, but I agree on Wildfire not being rough. Really enjoy the park though. It will probably be some time until I can make it back though
I wish my kid was like Sophie. We drive pass magic mountain sometimes and he starts freaking and crying out because he swears thats where we're going.

It's a shame none of their coasters really last below 40. While coasters run slower, it really is a different experience to get a freezing ride on a coaster in winter.
Mystic Timbers is so fun to ride in the 30s and 20s.

Crazy… my daughter just turned 10 too a few weeks ago. Also took her far away to a theme park for her bday (Carowinds). Lots of laps on fury and CHS. Love having thoosie kids! 😂

Thunderation is my all time favorite mine train. Has Outlaw Run really gotten so rough that Sophie can't ride it? It's been 1.5 yrs since I've been and I didn't think it was rough at all.

He's consistently put Silver Dollar City much higher. He's mentioned that Dollywood _should_ be higher on his list, but something's always happened at Dollywood to irritate him.
After this year i think its closer but SDC is better IMO

Curious why you won’t let her ride outlaw run? I ask because I’ll be going with my 8 year old son in the spring and I was thinking of letting him ride it. Also has she ridden the Batman clones yet? My kiddo is 54” and he thinks he’s ready but I’m not sure if I want to let him.
it’s really not that rough, it has a few bumps but he’s said she’s really really sensitive to roughness so if your son isn’t he should be ok
