    story 1: the reason the "nanny" didn't get fired, was because the nanny position was only a cover. her REAL job was to be Karen's drinking buddy and companion and thought she'd score a paid vacation on boss's dime. and boss knew it. he likely has childcare arrangements down in florida already in place which is why he took the kids with him instead of sending them to the hotel

    • @AnimaMandala
      @AnimaMandala 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +32

      Right? Especially when you consider they didn't originally arrange for her to come with them. They had to add her to the flight last minute, and the Boss doesn't seem the type to leave the wellbeing of his kids as an afterthought.

    For the last story, op's husband canceling the flight behind her back and the repeated calls later that day could be a pretty good starting point for an abuse case for a divorce. Remember, abuse isn't always and often isn't physical. Controlling behavior like refusing the get a babysitter so op has to watch the kids at home while he makes money sounds like textbook financial abuse, trying to make op reliant on him.

    • @chlyri
      @chlyri 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      by the time it gets physical, there's usually at least one other type that's been laying the ground work to help manipulate the victim into staying through the physical.

    • @wendybryan6071
      @wendybryan6071 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A person doesn't need a reason to get a divorce. The problem in cases of abuse is that their self esteem is so low that they're convinced that they cannot make it without the user. When there's a big wage discrepancy, it's particularly difficult. Having children and distancing their partner from family and friends is another tactic used by abusers. They should give a class in healthy relationships in middle and high school since many families are toxic, and those behaviors are often repeated in subsequent generations.

    Story 4: This was all to isolate OP. He says not to believe that the babysitter did nothing wrong, but he has no evidence to say that she did steal, and considering his behavior afterwards, which included canceling tickets behind OP's back and trying to guilt her afterwards, I'm more inclined to believe the babysitter.
    The husband and mom need to go, and OP needs to take the kids and run so far away

    I hate certain people. I had a loser demand to cut me in a long line at a thrift store because his uncle is waiting for him. I show him my cane and say sorry I'm disabled and I need to get back to my car as soon as this line thins. He had the nerve to say, "You look like you're walking fine to me," when I put the cart back. At that point I told him to pay my medical bills if he thinks so and he says F but the actual word YOU at me. I'm almost in tears by this point because I rarely go out alone, due to this type of behavior. So I just go sit in my car and he comes out and walks over to his family. That's when I go off from the handicap parking space I'm legally parked in. His uncle comes over to me and I tell him he's harassing handicap people inside the store. I could see the look on the guys face when his uncle and I spoke. Someone was in BIG trouble. Leave people alone, we don't want to be sick, it's not something we request or get off on, my life has been hard, shopping leaves me ill.

    • @LilChuunosuke
      @LilChuunosuke 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      Yup, people have NO idea how bad it is.
      I also have autism, but was refused any sort of medical care growing up because I looked "normal" and am a girl.
      It's very scary and traumatizing to become so overwhelmed that you fully lose control over your body. Many people don't remember their meltdowns, but I am forced to watch myself say and do things that cause others pain while I'm internally screaming at myself to stop.
      And I will be held accountable as if I did it knowingly and intentionally due to the fact I don't look/act how they think a disabled person should.
      Even after I finally figured out why I was this way in my 20s, people think I'm using the label for attention and that I either dont have it or can fully control it.
      It's near impossible to recieve any accomodations or care as an adult with an invisible disability because the assumption is that if you can hide it, you aren't disabled.

      My brother had a work accident about 12 years ago, as a result he has pins in his foot which means he can walk, but standing causes discomfort which gets worse the longer he puts weight on his foot.
      But because he's an otherwise healthy 40 year old who doesn't need crutches or a wheelchair people act like he's just lazy when he would rather sit on the floor than stand at a bus stop if there's no seats or similar.
      It sucks that people need to explain their situation for people to take them seriously and not just always assume the worst.

      @fancyquebecoise4550 yes, this does seem to most probably be the case. I’d go so far as to say abusive narcissist. These people can be extremely dangerous, especially when a partner is splitting with them.
      So to your excellent comment I’d add that when she leaves she should make sure that her husband does not know where she is going, and that she does not share online accounts or banking with him. Communicate only via a trusted intermediary or if absolutely necessary, by a cell phone. It’s a pain but if he annoys her by cell phone, she should change numbers and not tell him the new one. Be certain that her phone is not sharing her location with him. Be sure that she is not being followed. (If so, drive to a police station.) Make sure the kids at first have no contact with him-including cell phones. It will probably be easy for him to convince or trick one of them to share information (location, address, her/their phone number, etc.) with him. If and when he tries to get to her through the kids, she needs to get a lawyer and explain all of her concerns, especially safety concerns for herself and her children.
      For that matter, she should also thank the babysitter profusely and advise her to block him if he tries contact and to change her number if he goes around the block (with another number, say).
      She should not take the threat her husband poses lightly. She should contact local support organizations and find information about leaving controlling spouses.
      This may be a slight overreaction to the current situation but these kinds of situations can rapidly escalate. Better safe than sorry.

The abuse is subtle which makes it harder to see and there's never a way to prove things so that in your mind it's 100% proof you want. To the put side view point, he's abusing you and no one deserves to be abused in amy way by any one. If you wont do it for you then do it for your kids. You all deserve to be happy. I'm a bit of an aviation fan. I decided to look up the Merlin - it is indeed a very small twin engine aircraft. OP did not understand the severity of the changes made by the Karen and why overloading the tail was bad. It's not a tail strike on takeoff that could happen, it could be a complete loss of control authority and fatal crash. Between the change in passengers, the drunkenness, etc OP's Dad should refuse to have those two on another flight.

    I feel like people who immediately jump to claiming discrimination when they're in the wrong have never actually dealt with it for real before. I had a friend in college who was a cis white dude but gay. He would always say he was gonna "pull the gay card" just to get his way. Like if he didn't want to go to work he just wouldn't show up, without telling anyone. And he said that if they tried to fire him he'd claim discrimination for being gay. Our friend group was mostly queer and we all yelled at him to stop his nonsense because many of us and other queer people all over the world have to deal with it for real, sometimes even losing their lives over it. He was just an entitled brat with a really easy life. It's the same thing like "Oh you're not gonna force your kid to give me their tablet? I bet it's because I'm (insert thing) isn't it?!" Um, no, it's because the tablet belongs to my kid, not you. WTF?

    OMG, I hope the woman with the wedding goes to a counselor. That's straight on emotional abuse this man is handing out. She's not wrong for going, she handled the babysitting with someone they knew and trusted, she booked her own flight and his reaction was way over the top. And getting mommy involved shows how immature and petty he is. I hope she thinks about this and gets her own life back. This guy's abusive and a lot of times emotional abuse and gaslighting turns physical. Yes, voice of experience here.

    Charter Flight Story: What I'm curious about is OP and the 2 Hellions were in an Airport...while the Hellions were running around, invading Offices and trying to run onto the Taxiway, WHERE THE HELL WAS AIRPORT SECURITY???

    Love the Caroline cart. So helpful for my special needs granddaughter.
