Members of the Tennessee General Assembly debated a resolution that would expel three democratic members for their protest of legislative inaction on gun control measures following the mass shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, TN. The debate included a variety of topics including decorum, race, gun legislation and precedence for expelling members. In addition, protestors outside of the chamber could be heard chanting in the background. The Tennessee General Assembly voted to expel Rep. Justin Jones and Rep. Justin Pearson and not to expel Rep. Everybody admires the success and leadership of the 1960's. I'm also an old hat who lived through that. A new generation of leaders need to take advantage of the success of the past, these guys were in the legislature and could work from the inside, and not just echo what we did in the past, when we were denied access.
They have an Obama and a VP at the highest level and leaders at every level- we did not have. We got them to first base, they have to take us to second base with the tools they've collected at first base. Not conduct a new march to first base.

At every school and for all teachers to be armed if they choose to do so.
Sandy Hook had a sheriff deputy with a gun on-site and he ran the other way. Uvalde had police surrounding the school and they failed to go inside to save the kids. You care and you are trying to find a solution and it is understandable. We have to try something untried. I am pro gun and grew up with them my entire life. The key is responsible gun ownership. Here is what we should try:
1). Let Americans keep their guns
2). All guns must be registered annually like a vehicle.
3). All guns must be insured

9). Everyone should be allowed to own a gun even with a felony record as long as they’re not suspended for DUI carry or the gun wasn’t used in the commission of a crime. Then your gun is impounded .
10). Every year the guns must be checked for proper maintenance at a certified gun check site during registration. Person must bring in the number of guns they’ve registered and if they come up short they must show the gun is nolonger operational. That gun can’t show up in an accident or the commission of a crime.
We’ve done this in some form or fashion over the last 130 yrs with horse drawn carriages 😂, cars, and boats, fishing, etc..

Basically, there is a tension between a God-centered approach to social justice and a man-centered approach to social justice. The man-centered approach sees the government in the role of savior, bringing in a utopia through government policies. The God-centered approach sees Christ as Savior, bringing heaven to earth when He returns. At His return, Christ will restore all things and execute perfect justice. Until then, Christians express God’s love and justice by showing kindness and mercy to those less fortunate.
