I remember watching a lot of Disney movies when I was little on dvd and I would always hear mark elliot's voice on every trailer. This guys voice along the coming soon to own on video & dvd bumpers and the thx logo were my childhood. R.I.P
*Don LaFontaine:* An all-new _24._ *Mark Elliott:* _Peter Pan_ Platinum Edition. *George DelHoyo:* An all-new _Lincoln Heights._ *Joe Cipriano:* When tragedy strikes a family, the clues don't come from a ghost.
Mark Elliott: Beauty and The Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin, Bambi, Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, The Jungle Book. He did all the platinum editions from 2002-2007.
The piece could've also included Chuck Riley- it's just too bad that Bill Ratner(ABC) wasn't part of this story or even Al Chalk(CBS) or Chuck's brother, Michael Hanks(NBC)!!!
I miss all the voiceovers for NBC like Danny Dark and Casey Kasem back in the 80's so is Mark Elliot that I love because he was a fine announcer for CBS back in the 80's and so is George DelHoyo too because he was a fine announcer for FOX, ABC Family and The CW but I love them both!
R.I.P., Don LaFontaine & Mark Elliott- fortunately, we still have Bill Ratner and Al Chalk to continue the voice-over industry with numerous trailers and promos!!!
Jim Cummings predominantly does voice acting for animation. I think he has done some voice over work but he focuses on animation voice work. He was "the voice" in countless Disney cartoon shows in the 90's. A neat fact about him was that during voice recording for the "Lion King", when Jeremy Irons' (Scar) voice blew out, Mr. Cummings filled in for Irons for the recording of a song.
Shame that in 2021, two of these four golden voices have been silenced and that we rarely hear from the other two. R.I.P, Don LaFontaine and Mark Elliott!

I agree with this vid. I had no clue who these guys are, but they were truly famous for their advertisement. I only seen Don in that Geico Commercial, but I'll never forget his legacy!
Movie trailers just aren't cool anymore without these guys..... Nowadays it's either special effects, licensed music or even the film's name or franchise that sells the trailer to the audience. And, it could've been a 5 way if Hal Douglas showed up
It's a shame LaFontaine is dead, he's like the voice you think of when you think of the words "tv announcer" And i had no idea George DelHoyo was a TV announcer i heard all the time - i just thought of him as the voice of Material Defender in Descent 1 & 2.
It's nice to see the people behind the voices. RIP Don LaFontaine. He was my favorite when I found out who he was on from Geico
RIP Mark Elliot. Disney won’t be the same without you!
RIP Mark Elliot! Heard of his passing yesterday. How sad!!
Our condolences goes to his friend and families

RIP Mark Elliott. You will always be remembered as the voice-over behind the Disney trailers.
Mark Elliot was the narration of my childhood
I'll say, he sounds like a more friendlier version of Brian Cummings, because sometimes hearing his voice would usually scare me when I was a kid.

Don LaFontaine, a sweetheart, a pro, who hit it on the first take. I miss him, think of him constantly, as does Joan.
The Bible would be awesome in their voice. "In the Beginning..."
Don and Mark are my favorite voices of my childhood.
+Alex Aceves Same here along with George DelHoyo.
Alexander the Great You and me both.
Mark Elliot is my Favorite voice announcer of Disney.
Sadly Mark passed away a couple days ago :(
Mark, Don & George were all voices of my childhood
I’ve done some voice over work during the golden years of FM broadcasting… Or should I say, “In a world of FM broadcasting, his voice was there” etc.
So that's what they look like! Lmao.
These guys narrated my entire childhood. I hate to see Don go. R.I.P.
I'm reading all these comments in Don LaFontaine's voice.

I would listen to Don La Fontaine read the phonebook.
who needs a weapon when you have this voice?! it's made out of pure awesome

R.I.P, Don LaFontaine and Mark Elliott!
I've seen that video before and all I can say is Touche. :)
Joe (to Don): "You sing bass."
Don: "Thank you, Jesus!"
I don’t remember all of these guys, but I remember their voices.
icons, all. Every trailer I can remember is represented by Don LaFontaine ("In A World...")
if Chuck Norris' fist had a mouth and spoke, it would sound like Don LaFontaine.
Mark Elliot also did the DVS for Tangled.
William Harding He also did DVS for Lilo and Stitch.
LOL i LOVE HOW HE RANDOMLY SAYS "iN A WORLD" AND THEN GOES TO HIS REGULAR VOiCE..THAT'S TALENT !
RIP DON...RIP man....you are now in your "world gone mad"
great video, thanks for sharing it with us. Just hope NBC doesn't find it. I didn't see this last year, so it's bittersweet to see this now
Don was truly Awesome..

Is that 'Who Are You?' at the beginning?! This is awesome! The Who AND Don la Fontaine! (but where's Jim Cummings?)
Peter Thomas!
Campbell Scott has a gorgeous voice!
I use to think that Mark Elliot was Walt Disney. as a kid, it was magical
Don is God.
Joseph is literally the TV speaking to you.
George is my absolute favorite artist.

I've heard those voices for so long, and i've known Don Lafontaine, but now I know all these other guys.
also Ernie anderson, Bill Ratner, Casey Kasem and Keith David...
Gosh dangit, Disney, hire Elliott again, please.
Disney could bring in Bill Ratner, too!!!
He passed away

Don was the best and the best there ever will be.
RIP.
These guys are gods to all of us.
Don LaFontaine was THE voice of movie trailers before he died in 2008!
"In a place" is a precedent set by Don LaFontaine.
Don LaFontaine also did the voice over for the 1976 Ad Council PSA for child abuse prevention
And now our Feature Presentation
Nice talents and good people always gone first...sad. I wish they all can stay..
cool never knew those guys till now
Mark did Disney for probably 21 years. He did the Feature Presentation bumper from 1991-99 and then Beau Weaver from 1999-2006
Another great V/O artist was Doug Preis-TLC, TV Land, Cartoon Network, among others.
It's really sad that Mark Elliott passed away recently. He will be dearly missed.
Mark Elliot was my favorite. Rest In Peace.
I came because Mark Elliot died 😢

Why wasn't Hal Douglas, Tony Jay, or Peter Cullen included? Their voices are just as audibly soothing as Don LaFontaine.
I guess I never really thought that those voices had to come from an actual person. You just hear them and they have always been there.
this is so rad. :)
Very true. There are many women in the industry like animation voice over legend June Foray, who has an ASIFA-Hollywood award named in her honor.
R.I.P Don Lafontane
