    It’s so crazy seeing people giving so much love about this pedal… when I bought my direct drive In 2009 for like 115 bucks with my employee discount it wasn’t popular at all.. people were all about the ocd and some others… the first moment I plugged in the direct drive I knew it was my one and only overdrive for life it’s been fifteen years it’s still on my board

    • @PJandtheBeard

      We have a similar story. It’s been on my board since the day I bought it. I may even have picked up a backup or two over the years. David is a great guy which makes it even better. We are hoping to have him one the channel a bit more in the future. Maybe a regular livestream as he is a treasure trove of great information.

    I bought the DUAL CHANNEL TONE PUMP in late 90s I think, Picked it up in Evanston Illinois at a great music guitar shop. Cant remember the name??? GREAT PEDAL. Mine actually has two channels with 3 controls for each.
    Channel One has VOLUME/BASS/and PUMP.
    Channel Two has VOLUME/TONE/and PUMP...
    Bottom of Pedal or closest to me there are two Foot buttons. Left its labeled ON/OFF...and the Right One FOOT Button on the right selects the Channels. Is this a very early version ? At the very top where most pedals plug in the AC is where the Barber Electronics name appears. And I always wondered about the power source? I was warned not to plug regular 9 volt electric power source (wall wart) cuz its wired differently? What type of power source or adapter do I use? Thanks

    • @barberelectronics5672

      9-18 volt DC negative tip (so, like a BOSS or Ibanez adapter). You have a Tone Pump with two channels, the bass and tone are shared, not per channel. Each channel has its own volume and pump. Great pedals lots of fun, hopefully we will make them again soon.

    • @scottjensen1513
      @scottjensen1513 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@barberelectronics5672 , would you sell the power supply separately?
      When i purchased the Tone Pump in late 90s I was told that I could not use the same power supply as Boss or Ibanez?
      I was told it has to be wired differently? Was I going all those years w/o a power supply needlessly? I was told it would burn out the unit or something so I went without all these years just using the 9 volt battery...

    • @sgnirts1010
      @sgnirts1010 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@scottjensen1513 Hmm, not sure who told you that. Barber pedals use the same power as Boss and Ibanez and nearly every pedal on the market. It's the standard 9 volt negative tip that 90%+ of pedals use. We have always stated "9 vdc negative tip (center), which is the Boss and Ibanez standard.

    • @sejrec56
      @sejrec56 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sgnirts1010 thanks for your response, but since the 90s I’ve almost always use the tone pump. Even when battery gets low sounds pretty good, but now I’ll start using a power supply, so I won’t have to worry about battery again. Your pedal built so well still holds up never any problems!! Definitely one of the wisest music choices I’ve made!
