I remember him using in the beginning of his UFC career, and as a Brazilian I thought it was cringe at first 😂 due to the fact that I thought that Americans wouldn’t understand “chama”. Hill and Jiri didn't hit him at the right spot at the right time, they are really unable to hit Alex anything if any. The punch that landed at the right spot, at the right time is the one putting someone's lights out and not the hardest shot thrown and that is the one that KOd Alex cold. In fact with Alex in comparison to Izzy, he has all the physical advantages for being a really big man right there. It will only be a matter of time before he gets hits with a true flush shot again - just didnt happen yet at the LHW division.

Amazing Alex is older then JJ and has done more then any other fighter in such a short time we all forget a guy named Izzy who was the UFC poster boy. As GSP did in his career he is a respectful MMA fighter who does his talking in the ring and at 37yrs old to say what ever comes his way i'll take it on and fight who ever UFC throws at me. Ankalaev is the only fight left at 205 right now that makes sense. Other than that maybe a rematch with Jan since their fight was so close but Jan would need to get a win 1st most likely.

You can't say that a fight was close when in the 2nd round he got out struck by 20 and 13 in the 3rd.

@@jayn6943 it was a close split decision that could have gone either way. Jan took him down and almost submitted him in the 1st round which he won, then lost the 2nd round and the 3rd was also close, he landed a number of strikes himself and was able to take Alex down again and ended the round and the fight with the top position. The 2 things that won Alex the fight I'd say are because he outstruck Jan and in the 1st round when Jan tried to take him down Alex got Jan in a standing guillotine choke that was tight and almost submitted him as well before ultimately being taken down, Alex showed good defensive grappling in that fight.
