Stove venting at Home Depot is cheap and it comes in a bunch of different sizes, I use it for running the truck in the garage and it works perfectly

I was thinking dryer vent tubing. The hard flexi pipe.
This would work well but it has to be a blown duct. I made one out of a cheap large floor shop fan (harbor freight) linked by Heavy garbage bags to a 12 inch pipe to pull just enough air to equal the volume of smoke. I hung this over the stack and plumbed it out the door with the fan sitting outside. If you hook a hose directly to the stack you are adding back-pressure to the turbo and changing the results.
use the stove pipe but add a squirrel cage type fan on the end so it sucks the freedom out.
You need to use dryer vent tubing it works best! (Like so he can see)
fuck i had the same idea! make sure you get something with a large diameter the less restriction the better and maybe a cheap fan at the other end to provide negative pressure, would also look cool coming out the back!
What I was thinking and probably some clamps or aluminum tape to hold it in place just incase
I would be concerned about temps using that setup. Dryer venting is not that thick and may end up melting; just compare it to regular exhaust tubing. I could be wrong, but dryers only run at a couple hundred degrees verses auto exhaust which is well over a thousand.

We use dryer ducting, cheap and easy to route. Can’t wait to see where this car goes.
Cleetus!! Before you get started switch to 3H Airlift... you have 3P which is just pressure based and harder to control ride height. 3H has ride height sensors which helps in ride height stability, adding passengers it will readjust to your preset, you can set ride height presets instead of just guessing based on bag pressure. You can just swap out the ECU and buy the sensors to add to the kit! Can't wait to see the updates on the galaxie

The height potentiometers must be precise at each corner, but once mounted solidly and dialed in...a killer, superior system. I did one myself with the assistance of the owner of a G35. I was scared to death of fucking up the sensor mounting. Cleetus and all do not need the headache, however superior. This will be their intro, then they can upgrade the controller and get sensors later. They have the means.
I may be wrong but I think those re7 bags are going be rough as hell without a ping tank.

Also some flex tubing from Lowe’s or Home Depot is the way to go in funneling out diesel exhaust. We have ours set up that way when tuning trucks and it does the job

You can rent/ buy a welding fumes vent suction thingy. They come with long heat resistant hoses. big diameter too.
Make sure the killer dowel pin in the timing gears is blocked off if not it could mess up all the timing gears. Just a real easy fix that’s kind of dumb on 12 valve and 24 valve Cummins

Cleetus, Add delivery valves, delivery valve holder .093 inches also .093 injector lines for even more fuel. Also look into heavier valve springs and a governor spring kit let's the engine support more fuel for higher rpms 4000-5000 rpms. and a borg Warner s400 series turbo. I'm building a ppumped 24v called the "U.S. 24 VALVE" also as far as the exhaust goes. Look into how fire stations reroute their exhaust from the truck bays.
Also forgot to mention. Head studs very very important. Also name it guardian. Guardian of the galaxy

Can even add an in-line blower-fan if needed. Pretty cheap too. I was amazed at how much air a $75 inline fan could move when I used it to keep my grow lights cool.
glad someone said it... i was thinking the 3 and 4 inch flex dryer vent ..the metal type. But yeah the HVAC is the same but longer lengths!
Dryer vent hose. Always works and you can get them up to 16' long

For the smoke, get a 6"+ flex hose that is used for semi truck exhausts... bend it back, add a piece of strait pipe to it and channel the smoke out of the shop through the bay door. Another option is to run a flex pipe up and another pipe strait out of the roof, maybe though the vent cap that is already there. That way it will vent the smoke above the building and winds will not be a factor.

Robert Romney well it worked fine with my buddy’s Cummins, they ran 8’ of that 3” metal tubing out of the shop and it worked fine.

Air ride has gotten a lot better since back in the day. I remember a big boat my dad had with air shocks and he literally had to pump them up or let air out of them like a tire to adjust them. I think the nozzle was right underneath the trunk.
I would DEFINITELY run shocks up front, however you can. Its SUPER sketchy on airbags without front shocks
For the love of all things unholy put shocks on the front. That suspension is all steel so mounting some good shocks to it is simple.
As for the exhaust issue a couple pieces of aluminum drier ducting from the hardware store will do it easily.
Yup, a drop shock from the lower control arm to the frame would work perfect. Also you will have to most likely cut the spring pocket for the bag to fit. Unless you like replacing bags often due to rubbing and what not.

When you're doing air bag conversions, think of the airbag as replacing the spring only. So in the front just deleting the shocks is a very bad idea. Because of the coil over original design you will have to fabricate a mount elsewhere on the control arm, but you absolutely need the shocks in addition to the bags for it to have any kind of ride. If you just go with the bags without a shock it's going to bounce terribly.
Use dryer vent hose it should be Abele to withstand the heat of the exhaust

Now I’m coming from a plumbing and HVAC world but what I would do is go to Home Depot/Lowe’s and get what is called “B venting”. It’s able to take on extreme heat‘s from furnaces and take it outside. I think that he would do a pretty good job running the exhaust up and over the car and out the back door.
Look into shockwaves for the front. Or relocate front shocks you'll be glad you did

@@wyattlarrick3246 still have to consider the sheer pressure and temp verses thin aluminum. I have much experience with that venting (doing dryer install for a living for a couple years) and it just does not hold up to abuse.

flexi aluminium steel tube is best because can place on floor out the door around the corner out of site. its not cheap though. we used it for a 80 foot cherrypicker and truck inside the Melbourne trading centre Australia when painting the two story with dome area back to 1900 period. aluminium disperses temperatures better through the tube.

I’m a diesel mechanic and what we used to get exhaust smoke out of the shop is we have dryer vent hoses and hose go from the exhaust pipe and then hook into a vent that is attached to the garage door and have no issues if you need photo so you can see what I’m talking about just p.m. me

For evacuating the soot for the dyno. Most tool shops in Australia here have extraction fans (about a foot in diameter) with a flexible ducting extension. Would work perfectly.

I don’t know if it has ac, and honestly it’s just a tad obnoxious. It’s awesome but you probably don’t want to blow smoke everywhere every time you leave a red light. Also they plan on working in this thing a lot so it’s going to be taken apart way too often.

We use silicone air ducting.... works good and is durable enough to hammer down without blowing a hole thru it.

When I was 11 years old my mother drove straight while the road turned left as she was "attending" to her 5 year old daughter that was vomiting while sitting on the front bench seat between me and my mother. The 1963 Galaxie 500 2 door hit the maple tree in it's path dead center. The 352 ford engine was pushed through the fire wall and into the forward passenger compartment. It was a gruesome crash with everyone sustaining sever injuries. My father eventually replaced the totaled 1963 Galaxie with a 1965 Galaxie 500 2 door. The car was delivered from the dealership with the front shocks never connected. 8K miles later when the front tires were worn down the "tire guy" at Firestone Tires made the discovery after Ford dealerships and other mechanics had inspected the car several times. After the shocks were connected the car drove pretty good.

They do make shock relocation brackets for the front. Use loctite 545 for threads instead of the Teflon tape. If you do wanna use tape go with the yellow one

The simplest easiest and cheapest way will be to run flex pipe on a wire hanger system and exhaust it out your bay door behind the dyno you can buy rolls of flex pipe anywhere from 3in up to I believe 8 or 9 in

Many have ran no shocks in the front it just floats a lot. I run shocks all around on my truck and it is definitely a way better ride. If they have some mediocre fab skills they can do mounts up front it’s not hard at all
