I get dried anything mushrooms and pulverize them; umami definitely. Great channel watch it often brilliant ideas kudos! Chili is .... the spices I throw in but starts with black beans and corn diced tomatoes and bell peppers the rest just happens. Perfect for batch cooking. I have early onset MS and eating this way is a huge part of hiking the trails with my dog and not messing up my translations which is how I pay my rent. MS is a neurological condition which if caught early can be managed and triggers are bad diet, stress and lack of sleep. Symptoms: don't bother your doctor unless you are really concerned about: lack of balance, dizzyness, heat intolerance, unexplained falls or dropping objects; 5 minute blackouts; fatigue not explained if you slept ok; get a blood test and sorry but wait for an MRI. It's not dire if detected early and life style and diet definitely your friend. Plus physio, and consult your dr. Swimming is wicked and I get in at least an hour walking my olympic champion Peke named Kiwi who keeps me going. Just reaching out didn't know what was wrong don't panic!!! Just go vegan and love a dog. And NEVER give in to steroids.
Check out 'raw vegan diet' and 'natural hygienist movement of XIX century'. They got into root of health problems. And John Rose channel is best to get started with information. You can certainly stop MS and possibly reverse any symptoms you've got (unless it gets really advanced). This is the real deal, tried to poke hole in the concept for 4 years already and cant! Give understanding a try and you might not have to worry about MS if you apply the principlles with comprehension.
This is a delicious recipe. Once the veggies sauteed I put the tomato paste in first to brown that up for a minute or two, then I proceeded the same as your steps. This is a fun, easy recipe. Thank you.
I like adding a bit of sweet something (sweet potato, date pwdr, a touch of maple syrup) to anything made with tomato paste. The sweetness rounds off the acidic edge from the tomato paste.
I'm watching this on the first day of fall and the temps here dropped 20 degrees today and it was cold and cloudy all day; could have really used some of that chili! Thanks for the recipe and can't wait for the cornbread recipe.
Looks fantastic! Yes, sweet potatoes are a great addition to a hearty chili! Will definitely try the cocoa powder addition! Lately, I have been adding red lentils to thicken if my batch of chili is too thin, especially when using instant pot beans and their yummy broth. Love you guys!! ❤️
I just made this in the instant pot using pinto and dark red kidney beans. I added some ancho chili powder to it and it's the best chili I have ever made. The cinnamon and cocoa powder is legit genius. I have never added that to chili before now but it will be from now on in this home 😋. I usually eat it over brown rice but I decided to make some polenta with chopped jalapeños instead...it's a total game changer together.
Love, love, love this. I love that you explain all your spices, and how you prepare them. Takes the mystery out of it all. Here, we have the heater going in the mornings and the AC going in the afternoon, evening. Thanks for all you both do.
i just love u guys ! Dill's dry humor and Reebs's practical sarcasm is everything i need to learn and have fun! Thx for being you its truly inspiring. i made this chilli by accident (was trying to make tomate frito lol!)
Instapot, that's what i do, and i saute in the instapot a bit, then throw in the rest. I like mine a bit on the soupy side, so I often blend about 2/3rds of it. Add my corn after it's done. I sometimes put the chili on top of a sweet potato or regular potato and your cheese sauce diced fresh tomato and green onion! I thought cinnamon and chocolate were MY secret ingredients, along with a wee bit of chopped dates or maple syrup. Guess I was wrong...and right...but still left.
Oh thank you once again for another healthful recipe! I appreciate your on the stove, no special pot needed! I like the idea of grinding chile pods into powder!
Great video! Just picked up ingredients to make my own vegan chili recipe. Love the addition of the corn... if you add a few tablespoons of some BBQ sauce during the caramelization phase it will add a that backyard sweet charred smoky flavor into the mix. Good for those new vegans who really miss that flavor or to convert a meat eating friend.
Hahah yes you can definitely make this one Nanc! It is delicious too, you are going to love it. Yes! The date powder adds just that perfect amount of sweetness. Thanks for watching!
This chili was a hit with my family. It was savory, sweet, a little spicy - all with good balance! They also loved the cornbread! A repeat recipe for sure :) thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the great recipe, Dillon and Reebs! Good call on adding the touch of sweetness (I had a Maple Balsamic), and I also added some fresh lime juice, for a nice Z-I-I-I-N-N-G!
love homemade chilli! I have awful allergies and have to work around recipies. Oregano hates me and makes me sick. i just omit it and avoid it. Oats don,t love me and really bother my digestion. i just avoid them as well. its not that im complaining i am just sharing my struggle. thank you for your recipies they are really nice and simple.
This looks delicious and I can’t wait to try it! But I m going a bit off script. Do you guys have any good recipes for a great sos free marinade of any kind?
Yum, this looks so tasty, and I like those hints for adding that extra zing to it. I'd love to make a pie with this. You two certainly complement each other. Would love to be able to access your products here in New Zealand some day. Nice one guys.
That looks so good. I was looking for a vegan chilli recipe and saw this. Is this recipe for one person? This will be the first time I've ever made chilli.
If I were going to use frozen Fire Roasted Bell Peppers and Onions (14 ozs.) instead of fresh, would I use one package or two? This looks like a great recipe.
This sounds SO good... and I love the idea of sweet potato in it too! I have a question.... would you use raw cubes of sweet potato, and it would cook with all the chili, or would you toss in cooked sweet potato, that's been cooled, and cubed? I will definitely be trying this! Thank you
I love your recipes but what I really need is a substitute for chili oil. I've just started learning how to make Chinese recipes that call for cooking in chili oil. I don't use oil but wondered what else could be flavored to cook with? broth? I know you can figure it out!
Yes, definitely add Sweet Potato! So Yummy in Chili... Or make Chili-Cheese Stuffed Sweet Potatoes! (or Chili Cheese Sweet Potato Fries) Topped with WYW Cheese Sauce, of course. :-)
It’s a great recipe! Especially for those frosty AZ nights! The recipe is once again the perfect combination of starchy and non-starchy vegetables. Might Reebs add this to the formulator?!!!!
Why are you using commercial veggie stock? Aren't you the guy that made videos about saving scraps and even going as far as making 'VEGGIE PASTE' out of it?? Just curious, nothing wrong with the packaged stuff. 😉😉🙂
I made this chili recipe today, exactly as you wrote it. My husband say it's the best chili he's ever tasted! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Wow that’s fantastic! Thanks for letting us know Beth!

Yep!!! Sweet potatoes... we are puerto rican and we add some in our traditional red beans when we feel fancy .. so good. And olives.
Sweet potatoes are so amazing and we are some suckers for olives!
This is a delicious recipe. Once the veggies sauteed I put the tomato paste in first to brown that up for a minute or two, then I proceeded the same as your steps. This is a fun, easy recipe. Thank you.
I love both of you, the recipes are fast and delicious. Thank you for helping me on my vegan journey.

I’ll have to give this a try. My husband is the tomato paste king. (Uses to much to my liking).
I totally agree. Corn often lends sweetness to a dish.
Agree, I add a little diced sweet potato to my chili 🌶
Sweet potato, butternut squash or some pureed pumpkin are some of my favorites. I make a pumpkin cornbread too.
@@kathy.7475 That sounds wonderful. If you find me on Facebook, I'd love to have the recipe!

Using a fork with chili... classic!!! Can't wait to make this. As always, you both ROCK!!!
Yesssss… I was thinking of adding the date powder too!! Thanks for the chili recipe!
💕💕💕🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼💕💕💕
This looks delicious! I always put in 1-2 TB of Masa towards the end. It gives it a great flavor! Thanks for the recipe 🥰

That chili looks delicious! I'll be making it for dinner all next week! Thank you!👍

I am definitely going to try that tip @Drew E.
oohhhh that sounds good
That's absolutely brilliant! Thandiuou for sharing
Chili is great on whole wheat spaghetti I love cacao in my chili
Made this tonight, it was great!
Fantastic!
We eat some form/concoction of chili every weekend regardless of the weather or season, but always with sweet potatoes.
Thank you for this great recipe!
Hope you love it Peggy!
I put butternut squash in my chili, it’s so delicious!
I put green tomatoes in mine :)
Faced with an abundance of tomatoes this fall, both green (unripe) and yellow/red/pink (ripe) - I added them to my chili... Not a bad idea...
This is something even I can make! Love the date powder at the end !
Hahah yes you can definitely make this one Nanc! It is delicious too, you are going to love it. Yes! The date powder adds just that perfect amount of sweetness. Thanks for watching!
Yes, sweet potato is amazing in chili.
Great video and recipe!!! Perfect with a squeeze of lime on top. Nearly chili season! So good on a fall evening!
I also love to add chick peas to my chili! Looking forward to that cornbread video... mmm, mmm, MMMM!!!
I made a pot of chili yesterday with mushrooms!! Yummy- even better today!!!!!!
Ooo sounds pretty good!
What were other base ingredients besides mushrooms? Capsicum, corn, beans ...? Want to try one too.
This chili was a hit with my family. It was savory, sweet, a little spicy - all with good balance! They also loved the cornbread! A repeat recipe for sure :) thanks for sharing!
Mushrooms really add a depth to the flavor. I also use sweet potatoes.
I made this today. I am surprised how delicious it is. Thanks for this great recipe/guide ;)
Awesome, glad you enjoyed the recipe! Thanks for watching, Iwona!

I love🥰 the pan the WYW cornbread was in and can't wait for that video 🤗

I grated a package of mushrooms in my chilli today, and about 2 tablespoons of maple syrup

Your recipes made my sos free journey so easy! Will try this next week, when the corn bread recipe is available..:)
Thank you! Looks delicious.

That looks so good. I was looking for a vegan chilli recipe and saw this. Is this recipe for one person? This will be the first time I've ever made chilli.
We don't really do serving sizes, but it would be enough for a couple meals for sure! Enjoy Denise.
going to make this!!!
It one our favorites! You are going to love it Robin!
Looks great, thanks.

Hi Mara! I would use two!
I love chili 🌶

I've made it both ways, equally good. Easiest for me is to drop in a baked, peeled sw potato (yam) and stir it in.
@@beth8894 ....Super... Thank you
Looks great!!!
Thanks, hope you make it!
@@WellYourWorld thanks I will!
You can also add steel cut oats!
Oh darn it now I want chilli 🙃🙃😍

I would definitely use my WYW Sriracha in place of the oil. Give that a try!
2:43 if anybody is looking for the instant pot method. ♥️
Where can I find blog to get the measurements?
Hi Jacey, you can find the blog and full recipe here, wellyourworld.com/blogs/youtube-videos/chili
If we can only use dried beans and an instant pot how much more water would you recommend?
did you ever find an answer to your question? that's my question too

The double take and look on Dillons face when Reebs said sweet potatoes. 🤣🤣
I’ve added pumpkin (Reebs saying sweet potato). The meat eaters never even noticed.
that guy knows how to cook!
Did you ever try chili cheese and fries with sour cream and chives
That would be great with this chili. We have a sour cream recipe on our website
Nice, I can't believe you actually have time to make a weekly video. Music at 3:24, not a fan, distracting.
i made the chili but refuse to eat w/o the cornbread...I'll wait patiently while the chili goes cold and stale. Thanks.
I don't believe you. I know you're gonna eat this up and then make it again next week when the cornbread comes out!
It’s a great recipe! Especially for those frosty AZ nights! The recipe is once again the perfect combination of starchy and non-starchy vegetables. Might Reebs add this to the formulator?!!!!
❤💙💜
Dillon: "Good HEALTHY chili" ha, ha!
