Me and my boy just showing the difference in sound between them. You like loud all the time then straight piped is for you. But if you like loud when you step on it then mid-muffler delete is for you.
The mid pipe delete sounds better to me. I’m trying to decide what to do with my 2018 Shaker R/T so this video helps! I’m planning on doing the mid pipe delete and headers to start. Then maybe a procharger and intercooler. Also I would like to swap out my 4 piston Brembos for the 6 piston.

Straight pipe and mid muffler pretty much the same effect just leaving on the resonators helps with less drone I have mine Mid cut and is super loud I recommend keeping the resonators for droning obviously

Imo just a mid muffler delete is good to begin with. You can later on get some headers, catless downpipes, and catback exhaust to make power and sound good

@@jennifertrevino8004 a catback system is basically anything from the catalytic converters down to the exhaust tips. Depending on your state, if you have emissions then removing your cats and putting headers on is illegal

The reason being that the straight pipe just sounds kinda shitty. I was told the mid muffler will be loud enough and sound really good. I’ve gotten nothing but compliments too and I still piss my neighbors off. Lol

I have the mid muffler delete already, and it sounds insanely good when I rev on it, and at WOT. It's perfect for that, but I would like a louder idle, and I'd like more noise at lower rpm. Basically, I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the money to go back to the shop and get it straight piped. Honestly, they both sound amazing in this video, but as we all know, it's hard to call it until you hear it in person. Is it really a difference worth paying for, or is it just slightly better in person?

@@mple3220 I heard a Camaro SS with that setup. It sounded like a pure race car. To this day, it's the best exhaust I've ever heard. I'm sure the Chally will sound even better!
I'm about to replace my mids with magnaflo 4"x14" mufflers with 2 1/2 from the muffler out the back to quad tips and no rear resonators. Im a little worried it will be too loud since its my daily driver. Should be very deep... guess if too loud I could put bullets at the rear to take the edge off?
Cameras never do it justice. I had a kid muffler then straight piped mine and in person its night and day difference from tone to volume straight pipe all the way. Also for people talking drone if you drive stick or have an auto stick mode that eliminates any drone.
@@serenityalreadykno2639 I dont follow? Ehy is that? If you have an auto stick or paddle shifters you can avoid drone in an automatic. Plus controlling thebgears gets you those nice pops.
Mufflers only muffle sound. Although they do manage back pressure. I've went through 3 exhaust setups and noticed a small amount of horsepower with the borla atak. But I love the deep low tone so I currently have straight pipe 😄

I'm eyeballing possibly doing a hellcat supercharger adapt, cam, stall converter, gears, and 3" exhaust with headers, hellcat cold air intake. I've seen it's good for 580hp like that. I'm a fabricator, so it'll get the wicker bill, and air splitter but I'm going aluminum on those. It's my wife's car.

Both cars are in regular mode putting the car in sport mode (in my opinion) didn’t really pick up a difference on my iPhone camera
