Gday mate, I’m clueless when it comes to saltwater fishing, i really want to catch more flattys, whiting and snapper. Also Barra, best lures? Hardbodies or softies? Keep up the great work and tight lines bro
Well for flathead I like 3 inch minnow soft plastics or deep diving hard body’s like double clutches, for whiting any small Topwater worked over the flats catches, snapper I have no idea as I’ve never targeted them but for barra just throw big white plastics to start with then big prawn plastics, thanks man you too
The fish didn't bend out your hook mate, you bent the hook by putting too much force [ resistance/drag ] into it with all your excitement. We've all been there, it's the learning process. Sucks, doesn't it, lol.
Hey kiddo, there's no such thing as a properly sharp hook straight out the packet/box, even the chemically sharpened, unless you just get one of those little flat stones about 3'' long and give each hook a few strokes on the edge parallel with the barb, don't worry about making a triangle, just give a few strokes with the point leading and on top, doesn't have to be very hard, no need to really grind it into the stone, but this takes the hooks to another level and it's really worth the 1 minute it takes
Ask your parents about this and see what they think, because your little legs/calves would look like two kebabs under the water to these sharks and that is not a game kiddo. Remember that these sharks have never heard of and don't care about clicks, views or likes. If it comes your way, you can't out run it or escape and you are gone, you'd bleed to death. This ain't exaggerating.
They watch all my videos and mums not too fond of it but yea I understand what you mean couple weeks before recording this I had a shark take my flathead then a chunck of my boot, lucky I had steel caps or I’d be done for, would have been 2.5 m fish that swum away with a knife and a giant pair of scissors in it
@@fyshlur What size trace do you recommend for shark up there [ length and breaking strain ]. If I can get up there I want to have a go off Urangan wharf at Hervey Bay, as well as land based.
I've seen tiger sharks chase a little turtle out of the water and go up with half their body up on the beach to get it, which it didn't, but you are playing with your life there kid. They are not little reef sharks and it is not ok.
They’re only like metre and a half and the tiger won’t come in close enough and the reefs are harmless I swim with them all the time on reefs with fish in my hands
Nice videos mate, keep it up 👍👍
Nice to see other Aussie kids fishing on TH-cam keep it up mate your videos are incredible

Theres 12kg of drag on this reel, looks like I’m locking it when I’m not even close to half way
@@fyshlur let the fish run tire it out
@Fish_dady I was fishing the edge of oysters with a $30 double clutch, no way I'm letting a flatty get over that

@justme.9711 I’d go 600 wire 7 foot of that to a 16/0 circle and then run a 80m top shot of 200 pound
dont be a clown dude, he's in ankle deep water and that shark is a baby.
@jamesdoe3713 shark is well over 1.8 and it’s well over 2m deep right in front of me
