Never liked the stock look of the cage without panels. Back when I got my V1 Baja Rey I had this idea to make some custom panels to keep some loam out of the chassis and to add some sweet scale details to my truck. I have a little understanding of thermoplastics and with how good the last set of panels held up I decided to whip up a new set with some updated features and mounting solution. Everything about this truck has to work and shredd.

Had plans to get these panels built by a friend that runs a laser cutter and they can no longer cut thermoplastics due to hydrogen chloride. I have the plans built in CAD and hope to have a DIY CNC machine that will be able to cut these with some other Kydex parts I am designing. I do make these panels by hand for the select few of Baja Rey owners that hit me up on instagram. Thanks for watching.

I used to get holstex/kydex from index fasteners. You can find holstex or kydex on Amazon. 👊

Can get real carbon fiber panels off Amazon, would work really good for stiffening the chassis.
No need man these work great as a stiffener and are cheap. Carbon fiber is difficult to work with and expensive compared to kydex. Thanks for watching 🤟

Yes, I am in the process of waiting for samples of materiel, my plan is to CNC router these out of .60 or .80 printed kydex with exact dimensions, already got the models made in Fusion 360, aiming for the entire set to be $40.00, I will be looking for testers on the first batch and you are on that list, subscribe and stay tuned. #Soon

These trucks perform great stock. These are my must haves, SSD 3rd member, Adjustable lower link mount, rear locker and a little more weight biased to the rear. Shock oil will do the rest 🤙

Not needed, and it's not safe to work with without proper gear

Hey, if you are interested in some sort of deal I can do these out of thin metal on a laser cutter. I was planning to design my own but this would save me a hell of a lot of design time and could be offered for sale
