That wouldn't have prevented this. He was an FBI agent. Carrying a gun is legal for him. Besides, the constitution allows EVERYONE to own and carry a gun. It's your constitutional right. Why not use it instead? Don't be a victim. Learn to defend yourself and your loved ones. The police can't be everywhere.

I don't like the guy who was shot, annoying rude panhandling is disgusting, and think it's self defense 100%. However I do think perhaps it's a lesson for people carrying firearms. The agent seemed to escalate simply because he knew he had a gun. If he were unarmed I bet he would have tried to diffuse. Again, right verdict but also think before even putting yourself through such an ordeal in the legal system.
