    13:02 I have seen ones with plastic. Needle and ones with metal needle. They are 2 different part numbers of carbs. The plastics one is newer one . And I don’t like the plastic needles. I have had more problems with them than the metal ones .
    Great video here
    Keep them coming
    I might stop by sometime to say hi. As I am not far from your shop

    Hello Tom From Kentucky. I was really disappointed to see that the newer Toro Recycler mowers have started using the totally plastic carburetors instead of the metallic carburetors like my sisters older Toro Recycler has on it. I always felt that the Vortex Technology was nothing but a sales gimmick. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the performance of the older Toro recyclers. Those gas caps can be a royal pain in the 🫏🫏🫏 when the o rings decide that they no longer want to seal properly.

    The plastic needle doesn’t corrode as bad as metal and B12 will keep them clean if you add a tad to fuel

    I have seen one of those on a plastic carb like it got blocked in the same spot , I ended up just replace it as it wouldn’t clear I could spray carb clean into the seat and it would come out . But not the other way around

    I spill more gas with those new EPA spouts. Then I ever did with the old ones. New cans all get the EPA delete !!!

    The only big difference in the Briggs plastic carbs are the jets in the white insert. That's one of my favorite things about them.

    • @dfields9511
      @dfields9511 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yah they are ok but on the jets clog up easier then on older flat head models . At least they will not corrode except the Jets

      @@dfields9511 That's another good thing about them, no rust. The brass jets will always clean, where some of the older carbs get rust inside the carb and they aren't really worth saving.

      It makes a good solvent to clean things with an old paint brush.
