I got 4000 grafts done in March, 2018. It’s about 8 months post-surgery now and I’m 100% thrilled with my result. Baubac and his staff were complete professionals. I followed his post-surgery instructions exactly. It wasn’t until the 4th month post surgery that my hair started coming back in. I’m no longer self-conscious about my hair. It is quite liberating.
What another great video Joe! In your last video you did with Dr Lupanzula, I referred to him as an 'artist.' It sounds like Dr Baubac is a 'scientist' of hair transplantation, with his own personal hair loss experience, as well the time he is willing (and enjoying) to give in a consultation in talking all things hair transplant related! That's the kind of hair transplant surgeon that people need aim for and refreshing to hear. The number of hair transplant surgeon's that don't care to offer this, often leave patients with regrets for years. I love the fact that Dr Baubac has that much involvement in the overall procedure, something that many hair transplant surgeons in places like Turkey (and even closer to a patients own home) could take a leaf out of. I'm really looking forward to the following video and as always, thanks for sharing mate!
Glad you had a conversation with him, when I went for an evaluation I only met with a consultant. He was nice and the experience was generally good, but for such an important and expensive procedure I'd like to meet the Dr. well before the morning of.
I'm all set up for my first HT with Dr. Baubac!! Going to do it right after Thanksgiving. I can't wait and am happy to see confirmation that I chose the right doctor. I am probably around a 3 and in the initial consultation we talked about doing 3500 grafts because my main concern is density in the frist 2 to 2 1/2 zones. I plan on doing a second surgery at 8 to 12 months to take care of the crown as well as further refinement of the front zones. I would guess all told I'm looknig at getting around 6000 grafts.
That is a lot of hair! I'm glad you were able to gain anything from my video. I think Dr. B is a really great option and I'm sure the entire team will really look after you. Be sure to document and maybe share your experience somehow!
Dr. Baubac Hayatdavoudi had the most artistic fineese of any hair transplant MD in the industry. His approach to the frontal hairline is unmatched. I wonder if Dr. John Cole might be the next best choice...who knows!?

I definitely want to use him as I turn 25 next year and a free consultation just to get a realistic estimation of what I would need done. Joe Tillman hey joe at 4:54 the patients hairline looks amazing. What norwood was the patient before ? If i was to ever lower my hairline it be as low as that. Id have more of and angle on temples but other than that looks great. My foreheads the same size so having a similar hairline like this patient would look great. Would you deem this hairline too low or unthical ?
I got my hair transplant done in Alvi Armani India, patient care is wonderful and the doctor did the whole procedure instead of technicians. In India majority of fue's is done by technicians. Ps: now I have wonderful hairline.

I used to know a clinic in Germany, the Moser clinic, and they were good at one point, but I haven't spoken with anyone from there in many years. The great thing about being in Germany is that you have access to several clinics that are a short flight away.
This doctor seems very good and I too really like the fact that he has been a patient as well! Thanks's for sharing Joe. You really don't have an appreciation for the nuances of a hair transplant until you have had one I feel. If you are in LA you could also just fly 4 hours North to Hasson & Wong in Vancouver as I know you recommend them too. Doctor Hasson is nice enough to create a more natural hairline from my first hair transplant. I have some double grafts in the front that need to be addressed plus I need more density. I am not expecting it to be perfect but I will be happy with what he can offer. I have a much greater appreciation now for the work that these top level doctors do.
Hi Stephen. I hope you're well. One of the things that separates Dr. Baubac from Dr. Hasson is that Dr. Baubac is doing the procedure himself so you're getting complete doctor attention. Dr. Hasson is not performing any part of the FUE procedure, as you know. He only makes the recipient sites for the technicians to place the grafts into. Dr. Baubac also has about ten years of experience with FUE which is much more than Dr. Hasson's most experienced technician. I recommend Dr. Wong for his incredible strip work since I've obviously had multiple great surgeries with him myself. Thanks for your comments.

I'm actually not too worried about hairline but about hair density as I'm a classic male pattern hair loss victim. All bald on top and a highway of very thin hair stretching towards the front, but my frontal hair line is thick. You very rarely see any marketing videos or pics from FUE clinics showing men with that look cause it's so hard to restore fully. It's always about the thinning frontal hair line, never about the REAL problem for men with MPH that applies to the whole top of the head. This group are really better off getting a hair piece in my mind. Hope this changes in the future.
It's better to wait (as bad as it sounds) until you have more reasonable recession and are at least 25...otherwise paying full price for a minimally required procedure is pointless. I'd wait a few more years...dont believe me...ask hair doctors...they'll say you're too young. Greedy ones will say come on in...

Hi Jonathan. Strip does not always leave a nasty scar. I've had seven of them and it worked out to my favor. Sometimes scars do stretch however and that is the gamble people take with the procedure but if you choose a clinic with a solid track record and you don't try to be too aggressive then the odds are in your favor of a good outcome.
I like Dr. Feriduni. He's hilarious to speak with and I always seek him out when I know I'm at a conference where he's attending. He's obviously good at what he does but I can't speak about the details because I've never had those conversations on a serious level with him, nor have I been to his clinic. I know he uses techs for a lot of the FUE surgery portion of the procedure but I don't know exactly who does what. The only "doctor only" doctor in Brussels that I'm aware of is Dr. Lupanzula, another Hair Transplant Mentor™ partner doctor.
Bit of a dodgey guy, I mean one thing with hair transplants as a whole is forums and stuff like that make a lot of people sound like there good. There isn't a lot of criticism because it gets shot down pretty quickly, like I've noticed on hair loss forums if you start searching for bad outcomes under peoples names you wont find any. Its as if there hidden, like I had a problem with Feriduni regarding a transplant and overall not happy. It has opened my eyes to the sort of garbage they put out there marketing wise, you need to be careful and really press anyone you think you may be planning on using to find out how they work.
Hi Ghost572, You brought up a good point. I'm not a fan of forums in general. It is difficult to discern who is who when discussions are going on. I know for a fact that at least one forum in general has fake members that are the moderators themselves. I mean, in reality, how many moderators does a forum need? Not more than one, really, because forums pretty much run themselves. The best way to discuss your issues is to create a blog. It's free on many platforms and most have drag and drop functionality to make it easy to put together. It doesn't have to be pretty, just have your photos and your commentary. The photos MUST be clear and in focus however else it's a waste of time. You are also welcome to call in to The Bald Truth to discuss your case. I saw one other video and your claiming that Istanbul Turkey is a big NO but what I'm seeing from some research is that there is some good clinics over there... I know on average compared to the U.S.A. there's less good clinics.. What's your thought ?
Hi Juan. It is clearly stated both in every video description, this video included, and my website that each doctor that I recommend pays a monthly fee for inclusion on my website and TH-cam channel. The kicker is that I only accept fees and membership from physicians I would have surgery with myself. You have never seen a video with me saying that Turkey is a big "no". Never said it, not in any video. What I have said is that there is a lot of bad work in Turkey, and there is. Turkey has, I believe, more clinics per capita than any country in Europe or North America and almost all of them are technician based clinics. I'm hoping to make another expose' on the Turkish hair transplant industry soon that will outline more facts to be aware of.

Hi Blaine. I don't know a lot about them but while I don't see a lot of independent reviews, I don't recall seeing any complaints either. What I particularly like about Alvi Armani and Dr. Baubac is his personal involvement in the procedure. As a doctor giving so much attention to the patient, he's in the small minority in the industry.
I just seen their process, but I haven't seen their final results. Can you tell me your thoughts on Bosley? Of all your videos I don't think I've seen you cover Bosley and everyone knows who or what Bosley is.
I think that at this point in time, Bosley is the only clinic in the United States, with multiple offices, that is doing fully 100% legal FUE. What I mean by this is that in many states, technicians cannot perform surgery, and neither can nurses. The least amount of qualifications one can have is that of a PA or a "physician assistant". I don't mean someone that simply assists the physician, I mean the medical degree of PA. Bosley has been making the investment to hire PA's for all of their surgeries, making them fully legal in every state they perform surgeries. I admire this effort. I've also not heard of any complaints, at least that have come my way, in the past two or three years whereas several years ago it was a fairly common thing to hear about. This is all well and good, but they still have sales quotas to meet and they still have a corporate approach to things, but overall they are making real strides to not only improve their image but their procedures as well. But, I can't comment on any specific clinic under Bosley as I just don't get enough feedback about them.

Hi Ali. The clinic does have travel discounts of some sort but you'll have to contact them yourself to find the details.

I'm hopping that U are not being compensated by this doctor... Talk to me about FUE co$t for this doctor or others like him.. I saw one other video and your claiming that Istanbul Turkey is a big NO but what I'm seeing from some research is that there is some good clinics over there... I know on average compared to the U.S.A. there's less good clinics.. What's your thought ?
Hi Juan. It is clearly stated both in every video description, this video included, and my website that each doctor that I recommend pays a monthly fee for inclusion on my website and TH-cam channel. The kicker is that I only accept fees and membership from physicians I would have surgery with myself.
You have never seen a video with me saying that Turkey is a big "no". Never said it, not in any video. What I have said is that there is a lot of bad work in Turkey, and there is. Turkey has, I believe, more clinics per capita than any country in Europe or North America and almost all of them are technician based clinics. I'm hoping to make another expose' on the Turkish hair transplant industry soon that will outline more facts to be aware of.

Charles Genova I went to dr hasson he's great he wont mess you up . I like dr wong for his crown work and hasson for the hair line.. really depends on what your looking for.

Hi Blaine. I don't know a lot about them but while I don't see a lot of independent reviews, I don't recall seeing any complaints either. What I particularly like about Alvi Armani and Dr. Baubac is his personal involvement in the procedure. As a doctor giving so much attention to the patient, he's in the small minority in the industry.
I just seen their process, but I haven't seen their final results.
Can you tell me your thoughts on Bosley? Of all your videos I don't think I've seen you cover Bosley and everyone knows who or what Bosley is.
I think that at this point in time, Bosley is the only clinic in the United States, with multiple offices, that is doing fully 100% legal FUE. What I mean by this is that in many states, technicians cannot perform surgery, and neither can nurses. The least amount of qualifications one can have is that of a PA or a "physician assistant". I don't mean someone that simply assists the physician, I mean the medical degree of PA. Bosley has been making the investment to hire PA's for all of their surgeries, making them fully legal in every state they perform surgeries. I admire this effort.
I've also not heard of any complaints, at least that have come my way, in the past two or three years whereas several years ago it was a fairly common thing to hear about. This is all well and good, but they still have sales quotas to meet and they still have a corporate approach to things, but overall they are making real strides to not only improve their image but their procedures as well. But, I can't comment on any specific clinic under Bosley as I just don't get enough feedback about them.

Is he much more expensive if he is doing all the grafts himself ? how much did that 8000 grafts cost that patient ?
