I never tire of watching this video, or reactions to it. Larnell is a treasure to the music world! This drumming just oozes taste. Awesome. And the sound of the drums too. Love it.
One thing I learned from watching him and from some classical and jazz musicians is that when you breathe your phrases or your counts it helps you conceptualize what you are learning and eventually playing esp in solos or in bridge and chorus sections.
