About this channel: We are the Smith's. A family of 5, living in the country just outside of Georgetown, Texas. Granger, a touring country music singer, Amber, an actor and stay at home mom, and their children: London, Lincoln and River.
I want to take just a second here to talk about a man's "strong face". When they were accepting that award, that was Granger's strong face. Amber wears her heart on her sleeve and is open and vulnerable and cries when she needs to cry....and that is amazing and there is no apology ever necessary for that....but Granger's face. I know that face because it's my face when I want nothing more than to just break down and let the weight of the world off of my shoulders. He doesn't speak except to say thank you at the end, he plays with his ring to distract himself, he crosses his arms to protect and hold himself together...but the deep swallows to keep the sob away and the glaze of tears over his eyes that he won't allow to fall betray him. It's the same thing I do, and I'm sure many men like me do to keep it together. I cry and hurt in private...usually in the woods or on the water when nobody else is around. I break when I'm alone so that my family and friends know that I'm strong and have it under control. There's probably a song you could write about that lol....but buddy know this....I know the face of a father and husband that is trying to "be strong". You're doing an amazing job taking care of your family and trying to make the best and move forward from the most tragic of situations. God bless you my friend.

I was raised by grandmother and she said a man should never cry. Took me many many years to understand that, that is wrong. Im at thelowest ive ever been and through my friends and great people.on youtube, I haven't given up. Just got an interview at McDonald's after my "friend" burnt me really bad. Granger keep your head up, Ive lost 2 kids. Shawnna and Ryan. Shawnna was lost at 6 months pregnant and Ryan at 3. Both werent easy. I didn't experience what you did, but I have been through loss. All we can do is keep going. They are watching over us. Love you @Smiths

God is real!! I lost a job and applied for a job last week, went fishing yesterday talked with God. Was so thankful for the four brown trout I caught, living in a great place, and said a prayer during dinner!! First thing this morning I got a call from this steel company!!! God still lives!! And moves mountains!! God hears our prayers!! Yee yee!!

So my daughter just turned 12 and if she falls asleep on the couch or at grandmas house etc and has to be moved to get to her bed she still cries. You probably still have several years of that. Love you guys, what you do and what y’all stand for, YEE YEE!!

I've felt like just stopping so many times, but I remember my Grandfather, Great Uncle, Father, Mother, and so many others, saying don't stop, push through, you'll be stronger for it. This is called brokenness, God takes the broken and does amazing works for him. Read the book Broken by Ann Voskamp, it will open your heart to the amazing things God does with the broken. She was broken and now is a super strong inspiration to millions through her writing.

I'm a 56 year old man I just lost both my parents and that was horrible. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. I am the proud father of 3 beautiful children and just put the last one thru college. I have always heard you are supposed to go meet God before your children. My very wise Grandpa raised me in church and taught me about God. He used to always say T. G. B. T. G. To God be the glory I say that and now my kids do. I am very proud. You guys are amazing for having the courage to share your lives and stories with us to open up your hearts and let us in. I think you guys are amazing. T. G. B. T. G.

God will always show up. My heart hurts for your loss and pain. We just pased the 9 year mark of losing my mom, on Oct 26th. So many people commented with memories about her on Facebook that it made my heart happy that she touched so many lives. I just don't want anyone to forget her. I know I never will. River will always be with you. He will be a light in the world thru the foundation you set up. Y'all will continue to be in my prayers. Thanks for all you do for others. Hugs!!!

I live in Georgetown, and I love it. I am so glad to get a dear processing place here. Also when "I kill spiders" started playing when you were carrying your daughter it made me cry, my daughters, 11 and 15, recently lost their dad, he loved country music and if he was still here he would've sang this to them. Keep doing what you do, you are an amazing dad.
Loved the show in Salado & hearing the new songs live!! It was a great night out for my husband & I! We will definitely be visiting the River walls as soon as we can!!! 🎈

It's like the dogs just wanted to give you a little joy at a great but not so great moment. Also a sign your son is watching over you and is there to say everything will be ok and I'm ok.
All of our Grandkids can swim except 3 of them, 2 of them are infants. Kyzar is 8 months old & Raelynne Jane is 3 months old. Our 3 year old has been swimming since just after her 1st Birthday. Raelynne Jane is her baby sister and will be learning in the spring 2021. All of the TX grandparents have pools, we Okies are still working on that part. I love your Family Channel & Your Music.
