What a splendid combination - organ and trumpet. Mr Rondeau is for my money an extremely active individual who eats, breathes and sleeps music. His contribution on Petrucci website alone is almost too vast to be able to comprehend. I am personally indebted to all his hard work in bringing obscure or forgotten compositions to the forefront. The Pezel pieces are worth recording and placing on this medium, I feel. It is time for a revival of lost works.

Christopher I agree that Bach was great but I also have to say that Handel was up there with the greats May their magnificent music be with mankind forever.
That whole generation of composers starting with Vivaldi, and continuing with Telemann, J.S. Bach, Handel, D. Scarlatti, and Rameau put the composers who came before them to shame, even though there were some quite good ones.

There's was (and perhaps still is) some disagreement among scholars who wrote those two pieces. Purcell was the attributed composer for a long time, but I've seen them in recent decades as being given to Clarke. So I don't know who's correct here. I'm certainty no scholar. Michel Rondeau had them both listed as by Clarke on his website where I got the recordings from, so I went with that, as the links below indicated : imslp.org/wiki/Trumpet_Tune_(Clarke%2C_Jeremiah) imslp.org/wiki/Prince_of_Denmark's_March_(Clarke%2C_Jeremiah) Anyway, don't let it diminish your enjoyment of the music.
Unfortunately, it seems that for a very long time, this particular piece was seemingly attributed to Henry Purcell by error. The most recent consensus is that this piece is by Clarke. If I were you, I would research what documents and support there is.
I certainly hope no one is barrel-rolling in their grave. I actually think I did a better job with my J.S.
