@@DayCyberwox I have not I am currently struggling with learning power supplies at the moment in the course I took a module exam and I got the same exact score 2 times in a row. I am currently using totaltester ITProTV and professor messer as my preparation along with the course.

Thanks bro for the great advice. All those materials was on sale. I feel confident I can self-study to pass. I wanna set a deadline to pass both tests before 1/15/22. Do you think it’s worth taking an A+ course for 2 racks or just self study. Opinion? TY
Self Study. Personally I would grab the Udemy courses do them twice and study back to back and even go with the bundle CompTIA A+ that allows you to retake the test. Not only are you saving a lot of money but you will not be depending on someone. This is just my opinion.
I am a web developer willing to transit to the cyber security stream. Should I prepare for A+ to begin with or right away start with Network+/CCNA followed by Security+ and OSCP??
I am following the exact same studying strategy that you did. I took the Mike Meyers course on LinkedIn and I watched all of Professor Messer videos. I took notes for all the videos. I just took one of Jason Dion's practice exams and got 85%. I really liked the Mike Meyers videos. He goes into detail and gives you demonstrations. However, he talks about things that are not going to be on the exam and he doesn't go over all the objectives. On the other hand, Professor Messer is very organized and goes over all the objectives. He doesn't go into detail too much. He is kinda boring and he basically just sits there and reads his notes. I passed the CPA exam last year so I am going to use the same strategy for the CPA exam and that is to do as many practice exams as I can.
You explained all of these instructors exactly as they are! 😂They all have their shortcomings individually but as a team (for your study resources) they give the best training for the A+.
Yup Dion was similar to the exam. If you’re finding it easy then you might be somewhat prepared for the exam but still don’t over estimate those practice exams because CompTIA does throw some curve balls lol.
@@DayCyberwox I am going to purchase Messer's practice exams too. Practice, practice and more practice is the key to passing I think. Plus I want to support Messer for all the work he has done to help people pass. I also watch his study groups and find it very helpful.

Yes you can take the exam online. The exam is majorly multiple choice and very few number of performance based questions. Yes you can take again if you fail but after the second time, you have to wait a certain amount of days/months before retaking. Took me about 2 months each to study for each exam. 4 months in total if I remember correctly.
@@DayCyberwox What do you mean number of based performance questions ? is there any certifications that you only have to pass one because 2 is to much like Cisco do they do Online exams worldwide too
@@PokemonBarry12345 Vous pouvez passer le Network+ ou le Security+ car ils sont seulement un examen mais ils sont beaucoup plus dificile que le A+. Je m'excuse pour une réponse très tard.
No you don’t have to put a specific time frame to it. One month might not be sufficient for you but based on your level of comfortability after studying, you can decide when to take the exam. I recommend taking between 1-3 months for each certification. It’s all really depends on you and how you study and if you feel ready. The main point is to study for each exam individually and take one after the other .
@@DayCyberwox do u think i can skip a+ and just focus all my time on security+ to pass? i would read the a+ and net+ books but really all i care to get is security+
@Noodle Ztawolg Yeah, I think it’s really left to you. If your main goal is the Security+ then you can study for the A+ and Net+ and then take the Security+ exam. It’s a good plan in my opinion.

I have been watching professor messer a lot and using mike Myers total tester to see where I am at for the exam and I have been getting 60% on the practice exams. I need to be prepared to take this course in august. What would you recommend?
Have you tried Jason Dion?
@@DayCyberwox I have not I am currently struggling with learning power supplies at the moment in the course I took a module exam and I got the same exact score 2 times in a row. I am currently using totaltester ITProTV and professor messer as my preparation along with the course.
Do you think you could have passed the exams without using professor messor's materials? I'm wondering if I can just get through on the udemy resources you listed.
Yeah I could have but professor messer helps a whole lot. I see no reason why to not use Professor messer.
Fly high Dear, excellence is in you.
Thank you!
I’m just in the first minute and I already love it so much😍😍😍
I'm glad you like it!
@@madeyesz Thanks, that’s what I’m do. I got all three courses like u recommended. Thanks for the reply back.
I am a web developer willing to transit to the cyber security stream. Should I prepare for A+ to begin with or right away start with Network+/CCNA followed by Security+ and OSCP??
Great Video Bro 👍🏾
Thank you!
Great video!
@@DayCyberwox Did you find the Dion exams to be similar to the CompTIA exams?
I thought the first Dion exam I took was fairly easy.
@@fmih That's a solid plan. I'd say study 70% and practice 30%. Don't wanna end up memorizing questions but professor messer's resource is always going to be top-notch.
This is so helpful! I failed the first time I took it so I’m determined to pass this time. Currently watching Mike Meyers on Udemy now.
I’m glad you found it helpful! I also failed on my first attempt but with the right resources you can definitely crush it on your next attempt.
All the best!
@@DayCyberwox thank you!
Did you pass?
@@EcuaBlackOps212 yea
does the syllabus get updated? Just want to know if the study materials are still relevant
Yes. They create new versions every three years
@@DayCyberwox so would the study materials you suggested still be valid?
@@cyraxvisuals6203 if the exam codes are still 1002 & 1001
What’s your opinion on the study guide books on comptia’s website?
I think they’re decent but not enough for the exam.
How hard were the questions?
Depends how hard you study😏, but not unreasonably hard. You just have to understand what CompTIA is asking.
GO GO GO GO GO GO
Yessir
I’m studying for A+ atm but I notice the tests are retiring in October, am I wasting my time ?
If you think you’ll be able to take it an pass by then keep studying. If not I recommend you start studying for the new version.

@@DayCyberwox ok thanks. My instructor assigned me to take Core 2 first, so we’ll see how this all goes.
Thanks for everything
You’re welcome!
How many hours did you study for the test? Did you have previous experience in IT?
That’s my guy 🙌🙌
Thank you!
I'm from France can i take the Exam online and when you do the Exam for the Core 1 and Core 2 is it like to answer a question or you have to solve a problem please help and the voucher if you fail can you take it again and again and how long did it take you to study to have it
Yes you can take the exam online.
The exam is majorly multiple choice and very few number of performance based questions. Yes you can take again if you fail but after the second time, you have to wait a certain amount of days/months before retaking.
Took me about 2 months each to study for each exam. 4 months in total if I remember correctly.
@@DayCyberwox What do you mean number of based performance questions ?
is there any certifications that you only have to pass one because 2 is to much like Cisco do they do Online exams worldwide too
Just about 5 or 6 performance based questions. The Network+ & Security+ are single exams.
Link in my description has More details about CompTIA A+
@@PokemonBarry12345 Vous pouvez passer le Network+ ou le Security+ car ils sont seulement un examen mais ils sont beaucoup plus dificile que le A+. Je m'excuse pour une réponse très tard.
@@bobnoob1467 Merci beaucoup
How do u break down the Mike Meyers book for the first test?
I didn’t use the book.
@@DayCyberwox ok. Thank you and congratulations on ur achievement. 🙏
Did you go to college or do you think you can self teach to take course
I’m a college student but I fully studied for this certification on my own. I study for all my Certs on my own.
did you take both the 1 and 2 on the same day?
No. I highly recommend not doing that. I took them at least a month apart.
@@DayCyberwox thank u! so study for core 1 or one month and core 2 another month?
I recommend buying the textbook cenage comptia a+ guide to it technical support - tenth edition
Hey when you scheduled to take the exam did you test on both 220-1001 & 1002? Or is those separate exams?
Hey Timia!
Those are two separate exams and I highly recommend to study for them separately. I had about 1.5 month interval between both exams.
Hey, congrats on passing your exams!
Quick question(please be patient as I'm a complete noob 😅)...So you didn't use the official CompTIA study courses at all and just the three resources you named? If so what was your motivation for doing so? Thanks in advance.
Hi! This is a noob judgement free zone😉. The CompTIA resources are expensive to say the least, they come with the certification voucher (if you choose to buy them together) and you pay a lot of money depending on the package you get. I also checked out the reviews online and most people recommend external resources. These three resources I used were extremely helpful and I got them all for under $50.
@@DayCyberwox Ok thank you so much! I was looking at the prices of CompTIAs study materials and I was hoping there was a better way. Thank you!
Yes absolutely! The resources in this video are highly recommended.
@@DayCyberwox One more question...are you familiar at all with the dual Google/CompTIA credential? I'm interested in that path as well but I'm not sure how effective it is in preparing for the A+ exam.
@@EA-ps4wc I’ve actually never heard about that so wouldn’t be able to help in that regards :(
