It was our first time watching at K Tree. Dean Harrison had a tank slapper exactly where Davo Johnson did, Davo crashed right infront of us and it was horrific! We always stay and watch every single rider come past on their last lap and give them a clap, especially the orange vest riders! this year I even stayed behind to clap the travelling Marshals and show our support and appreciation because they do such an incredible job. Thanks for giving us the insight into what you do.
Been on both sides, in the garage and as a car driver in the 70s, take it from me the team member who makes a mistake under pressure will feel the failure more than Michael. As a team member in the garage one is always doubting yourself or asking yourself did I remember this or that! As a driver I respected all my team members and trusted each one of them. I made mistakes when driving and perhaps other members made mistakes. Even the navigator made mistakes at times. We all just moved on and supported each team member. Thank you. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇲
So true about Dunlop, the pit stop is part of the race, you have to get that right just as much as your lines through any bend on the course. Watching the replay his crew change the visor then realise that the side pod has come off. They slap it back into place but at no point did they or WD test the visor. He then rides out of the pits and gets a few hundred metres down the road before he closes his visor. That's when he was done for. It would have taken less than a second to test the visor before he set off again and just a few seconds more to make it right. I bet he's got a spare helmet in the pit next time.
@@robertgallacher7214💯, it used to take me ages to change the visor, and that's sat at home on a sofa. I've also had the sidepod plastic lug break off an Arai RX7. Once that's gone, you need a new sidepod (can be tricky when it's a couple of year old race replica scheme).
Seen Tony in Union Mills at the oil spill, absolute credit to him and team, he was running up and down the road in the hottest of evenings in full leathers making sure road was swept with the sweeper & safe for everyone to get back home safely, top job by all you guys 💪
Great video I'm glad Davo is ok may he have speedy recovery 💪🏼🤘🏼 Josh Brookes chain broke, lucky he wasnt badly hurt, hope his foot is ok that bit metal hurt
Great information when not able to be there this year. Saw you on the Arai interview and am a follower of Beyond the Blade so looking forward to that. You better get an agent mate!
I'm still learning the circuit on fhe videogame, and Churchtown is a superfast section. I'm always rolling off the throttle through there, and I'm only playing a game! The fast boys go through there at crazy speeds! Hooe they all have a safe rest of the TT, and the postponed races get run. 🤞🙏
I ended up buying one of the TT Arai’s. It just looked too nice sat in the shop window one night, so took the plunge the next day. And I saw that Maclaren go through Quarterbridge on the back of the recovery truck. It was a mess!
Great video update as ever…..thankfully Davo has been battered and bruised with a broken collarbone….so lucky. Wondered why Tony was doing a lap ahead of racing….and then last in….long day for him…..👍👌🇮🇲
I also was thinking, why is a tire equipment failure different than a helmet equipment failure? The way people think of it. Could be worse. Your weapon can jam when you are in combat . Then , you're dead.
People are stupid and their opinons don't matter, especially thinking JD got robbed lol he was way in the lead, he was definitely feastst. Thanks for the awesome background info, the itv and TT coverage on here is a bit lacking. With all the extra cameras they have, the editing let's it down, 8 mins jumbled coverage from a whole race? Almost laughable. Thanks for doing what you do, its clearly just as important as the racing, can't have one without the other, cheers driver.
every rider "must stay 2 min. " at the team , sure the digital timekeeper must stop too ...and if they start rolling the race is ongoing ➡️ how difficult is this 🤔 with this misstake at a "japan premium helmet" of course with a price more than 600€ / £ / u.s. $ this arai brand must leave a statement !
Seems that the updates on the Honda worked, now Michael can finally compete, well I mean of course the MD factor is huge in that but in 23 he wasnt close to Pete in any of the 1000s races
Thanks good point but they have at least 50 seconds - i have never raced but wouldn't a nice cool non sweaty helmet be nice. I dont work for a helmet manufacturer !
Its getting to dangerous ,,last time i was there 6 killed including a spectator and a doctor going to a crash ,,something needs to be done but i dont know what
Everyone knows the risks, and that includes the people that aren’t actually racing. If you don’t agree with it just don’t bother with it. Don’t try and sanitise something as great as the TT.

I really appreciate these insights, born of your experience. Wonderful attitude.
Thanks.
Really appreciate you making the effort to do these videos giving us an insight into the TT Marshal role. So interesting.
Brilliant insight into all the hard work you guy’s put into the amazing spectacle the TT is, true unsung heroes.
Great behind the scenes insight. Really interesting, thank you 😊
i agree with you... nothing was stolen from MD, its just part of racing

Arai have always had a poorly designed visor change system and i say that as someone that used them for a number of years.

Yeah screw that test shit, just change helmets.
@@Worther12 Yep, i hated changing visors on my Arai Saltire. Still got it in a cupboard somewhere.
@@robertgallacher7214 mine is on display on top of one of my cupboards in the living room!
thanks for taking the time to explain how much you guys do and how crucial you are to getting racing on for us all. Top guys!
Cheers for the update. We were spoiled last year with the weather. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the rest of the weeks weather.
I had a conversation with you up at the gooseneck. Lovely guy 🤙
Thanks for video updates great insight into the travelling Marshall’s role 🇮🇲👍

Really good vlog, thanks for your insights and the vital marshalling.... orange superheroes xx
Thanks again, hopefully the schedule isn't too badly hit, still very wet here at handleys despite the sun coming out 🤷🏻

Hi are all the local

Saw you at Ballacraine on Friday.

Modern suits are simply lifesavers...airbag technology

Can I just ask, is it safer to go out when conditions are "damp in patches" or to do 3 races one day?

He won the first one ,hicky had gear shift issues

I never understand why they don't all just change helmets
In theory it should be a lot quicker to change a visor than mess about with a chin-strap twice.

No deaths this year, So it’s not! Only two spectators killed at the actual TT in 110+ years!
thanks for that buddy🫶
