Thinking of getting this for my 22 streetbob my only issue for the unit is the internet i dont use my phone that much, been trying to find a sat nav with camera system where i do not need my phone internet as it not reliable
I get what your saying with the phone integration and signal issue , but apart from dedicated gps units, I guess you would struggle with that. If I am in an area with little or no signal. I preplan route so it is available offline. The only real issue I have had has been in some parts of Highland Scotland but overall all the units I have tested so far have been great. Cameras and loop recording quality included. So again.. unless you have a really bad network.. the maps should not be an issue.. and dont use data through google maps. 👍
In theory yes mate.. its not using internet as such as long as you have a signal it is using google maps through bluetooth on your phone. So once phone is linked. You can put phone away in pocket or topbox etc and just use the map function on the unit.. So to clarify.. its on signal and not internet usage 👍

None at all.. on the recent tour it was used for 1000miles with no faults although not on all the time 🤔

Whatsapp can read messages and you can also reply via headset. You can add apps on via phone. It wonr open up whatsapo same as phone though 👍
