Trudy, i work for an airline and i thought i should inform you a bit about buying tickets. This is the second time i have seen you guys being held for having just one way tkt. Tip 1. Its actually cheaper booking a return ticket rather than a one way ticket. Tip 2. Most airline checkin procedure have strict rules on one way tickets since they want to be sure youll fly out. Tip 3. You can book a return ticket if you're not sure what time to return you can book a further date then when you're sure then you can change to the date you desire
But apparently a return ticket is not a foolproof guarantee that you'll leave the country since you can always cancel the return portion once in the country.

I used your channel as a guide when I went to Kenya in December❤️ have fun in SA! Also, have a chisanyama (choose chakalaka as ur salad and have it with Pap- Pap tastes like Ugali) that's our local version of Nyama choma...also it would be nice if u guys could do the Garden route, fly in from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth, rent a car and drive from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town (it's a day's drive abt 750km and depending on what u want to do) explore our coastline, go to Tsitsikama, Knysna, George, stellenbosch and just take in the beauty of the garden route...U will spot some similarities with ur countries even.... Welcome to SA 🇿🇦🇿🇦

Lol Trudy ppl do walk in SA a lot when we go to work and school, to shops etc and we use public transport a lot like minibus taxis, trains and municipality buses in the big cities. In rural towns which none exist in Gauteng province(where Johannesburg is)or Western Cape province (where Cape Town is) province ppl walk a lot more. And yes we have potholes on our roads. Not everything is good...because you are tourists you’ll mainly see the best of SA but we have squalor and poverty in SA too. Ask that Asian lady who’s hosting you about squatter camps

Think many ppl on the African continent sadly only judge us by our worst deeds; afrophobia or our best deeds which are too many to name but we are a complex society.
