Okay, the cover is incredible, but it’s Sho’s stage presence that I’m most blown away with. From the moment she walked on, this was her show and everyone else were just guests.
I dont know what I like better. Sho blowing the doors off the place, or Kelli O'Hara's jaw hitting the floor when she starts. Spectacular as always Shoshana taking us to church and showing us how it's done. Walk in, blows the doors off, walk out!
How did I miss this? It's iconic, and they definitely should have let the upcoming revival be genderbent (although I realize Sho is probably going to be in the Alicia Keys show since she was in it at the Public.) Also, I am LIVING for Kelli looking on at Sho like a proud mama.

They typically don't record the ambient sound because the quality would be crap. They would have been singing, we just can't hear them.
Would've been 100000 times better than Beanie and 1000 times better than Lea as Funny Girl.
