- Hi and welcome to my channel,
In this video I will be replacing my rust damaged rear valance as well as completing many other repairs to the affected area.
I also took the opportunity to use the twin exit exhaust valance from the 320i-325i variants as I will be using a similar exhaust. The touring shape panel is NLA at BMW but luckily I only needed the lower half to complete my repair.

What a great video! My e30 is heavily rusted in this area. I didn't really know what to expect until now. Unfortunately, I think my repair is gonna be a little harder than I originally anticipated... Thanks for the video and amazing work!
I was caught out too really, but lucky compared to some with serious boot pocket damage. Good luck with it! Thanks
@@BadE30 I appreciate it. Im gonna have to keep an eye on your repairs so moving forward I know what im getting into lol
Amazing repair your welds have improved tremendously
Thanks Dhilian. Starting to get the hang of it, I’m sure I’ll master it by the time i finish! Haha
exellent work,well done :))
Thanks!!
Respekt!
Thanks!
Awesome work. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 🇩🇰🇩🇰
Thank you!
Great work man
Thanks my man. More to go, but I’m keeping the motivation up
Great work as usual
Appreciate the comment😎
Lot of work, nicely done.
Valcas Garage or E30 Garage Norway are both reproducing a lot of repair panels, such as the two boxes on the underside for the jack and battery.
Thanks Brian. Yes I have seen their design, but I am not to prepared to pay their kind of prices when I didn’t need the whole piece! They have monopolised that sector making it quite hard for most people to do repair work.
I know they are looking to make the touring rear panel but luckily I don’t need the upper part
@@BadE30 I agree they are totally overpriced
Welding getting much better. I'd be a tad worried about adhesion on the primer though. Have you performed a wetting test on any areas?
Thanks! No need to worry, this is a proven epoxy primer with great adhesion to bare metal. I used this paint from recommendation when I completed the underseal removal. Very happy with it
@@BadE30 Did you key the metal after wire wheeling? Wire wheeling polishes steel and lowers surface energy.
@@denguefever9489 yes it gets whizzed over with the flappy wheels or belt sander to key the area
