Kudos to you for your patience with the sticker restoration , excellent job done , good tips , great video thanks , two of my favourite sets together on the table , so enjoying your regular Friday slot , much appretiated , keep it up please
Thanks and I appreciate the feedback, I enjoyed putting this video together. I’m trying to keep the content varied so as not to keep pushing out the same stuff week after week.
I too love it when I can refurbish old sets and make them look like new! Super impressed how good you got those old dirty stickers to look. I did not even know they could be saved!
Restoring something is more enjoyable than opening new for me, especially when it’s a rare item. That was my first attempt at sticker restoration and whilst I’m sure there are many ways to go about I too was super pleased with how well they came out. I’ll definitely being doing it again on other sets that desperately need it like my gen 2 Elephant and Rhino.
I've had this set since release, and my stickers are starting to fall off. They're all there, but partially hanging off. Thank you so much for showing how to bring them back to life. Saving this video so I can refer to it when I decide to fix mine.
You’re welcome, just remember the process requires patience. Keep the water hot, take your time and try to avoid wetting/rubbing the printed side of the sticker, the print can come off easily if you’re not careful.
This looks amazing. Thanks for sharing the whole story. Very interesting. Shout-out to Mega for providing such a service of providing missing pieces to a set that is that long off the market shelf.
Thanks for watching. Just to clarify the spare parts are not being provided by MEGA, they are being provided by a fellow collector who goes by the name Mega Chief Construct Creator, that’s the name of his TH-cam channel.
Absolutely fantastic job cleaning up and reapplying the stickers! Didn’t expect that, but I did get freaked out when you said u put them in the sun after a wash to dry
Hey Brickman, that Roland light up is fixable. I bought a FUD complete but the Cortana light up didn’t work. I decided to open it up and saw worse than just dead batteries, but also corrosion. Still fixable. Just make sure not to lose any pieces when disassembling, and remember which order they go back in.
Thanks, I forgot to show it in the video but I did that as part of the refurb. Like yours mine was all corroded but I managed to clean it up good, some new batteries and it works like new! Annoyed that I forgot to show it in the video 🙄
This color is many times used on CoD line ;) And this set is really insane *_* That's too bad it is sooo expensive I'll keep an eye if i can found one haha
Yes, you’re are correct. Mega Chief said that is why he has so many spares in the correct colour, not from the Mammoth but the COD sets he has picked up over the years. I don’t have any COD sets in this colour so until he pointed the fact out I wasn’t even aware they used the colour in that line.
I have been all over ebay, and here in the states and north america, most of the mammoth sets are 100% complete but just either missing or including mini figures all going for less than $200 even with the shipping, and have been looking into buying one.
Thank you and you’re right, I completely forgot to mention and show that I did indeed get the pedestal working. The old batteries were a bit crusty so I had to clean up the connections inside the pedestal but once I’d done that and fitted some new batteries it worked perfectly.
Hey brickman I know you do a lots or hauls and just wanted to ask how do you clean the peices? I recently got a lot(9lbs) and was wondering how should I clean the pieces
I show how I clean the pieces in this video, 20 minutes in the washing machine with detergent on a cold wash. You need to put the pieces in a mesh/net bag.
@@EVA-UNIT-13 Good spot, I wondered if anyone would pick up on that. It is a prepared sticker but not one of the missing ones, it’s to go on the side of the main gun barrel but I can’t put it on until I receive the missing part it sticks to from Mega Chief. For the video I used a black piece on the tip of the barrel but it should be the champagne colour like the rest of the build 😁
Meticulous work on rescuing the stickers, its the 1st time I saw someone do all of that to retain those stickers, great work!! :)
Thank you, it’s definitely time consuming but the reward of seeing them back on the set almost like new when it’s done is so rewarding.

If you remove the figs from the battlescape, you could make the mammoth look up to scale by making the builds on the battlescape smaller!!! :)
That’s an interesting idea, thank you.
the amount of effort that went into this is astounding. Great work!

Wonderful work! Watching your uploads is now part of my Friday evening routine :)
That’s fantastic, great to hear you’re enjoying the regular updates, even if they are only once a week. 😁
Absolutely fantastic job cleaning up and reapplying the stickers! Didn’t expect that, but I did get freaked out when you said u put them in the sun after a wash to dry
Thanks, I only left them in the sun for a day so no harm done 😁
Beautiful end result and loved watching the process. Personally I don't want it... but absolutely respect the effort and passion to restore.
Thanks man, appreciated 😁

another great video! i cant imagine doing that with the stickers. You do it for the love of the game!
Thank you and yes, I’m obsessed 😂
Your the guy that bought that ohhhhhh
Yes I am 😊
i still remember getting mine in 2015 as a birthday present, i have the box also as even a kid i knew it was special
Nice 😁🥳

I love this set. Mine isn’t complete either but it’s complete enough at least to me to where it does exactly what I want it to.
I agree, even with the pieces currently missing from the one featured in the video it still looks amazing on the shelf. Impressive set indeed.

I would scan the clean stickers and print it out onto sticker paper; But like mega collecting its practically paying a premium for a printer.
I don’t have any of that equipment unfortunately but it does sound like a good idea.
Extremely impressed with your work, this looks great, good job!
Thank you, appreciated. 😊
Very nice my friend I've got one too that I salvage fr9m the grave put the missing parts together and also give it a good clean no stickers tho
It’s always good to bring something back from the grave, great to keep these things alive for future collectors.
@brickman1175 same here still on the hunt for the scarab my good friend !!
Looks outstanding Brickman! 👍
It truly is a labor of love to get these sets back into decent condition
@@ebomb1133 Thanks and yes, it sure is. I really do find it satisfying though, it never feels like a chore.
Great video. Would be keen to know if you got the pedestal working as well.

@@codyseeds2372 Happy hunting. 😁
excellent work bro 😎
I wish I collected mega blocks before they got so expensive tbh
Me too 😂
This set needs a remake badly!
It would be epic if they did that’s for sure.
Man this make me wanna clean mine up 😂

9:51 Is that one of the stickers on the floor of the Mammoth? 😅

I bought one recently for about 40 pounds but it has only got 4 wheels :( so looking for another one
That’s an amazing price even if it does only have wheels, great for spares or can be used as one damaged or having maintenance carried out.
That’s epic!
when i built this after it came out i avoided putting the stickers on lol
Well at least they can’t fall off 😁
