That's exactly the conclusion I came up with. She might have just threatened to leave because he was being abusive and he snapped. She's his property and he wouldn't stand for that! There is no doubt whatsoever he did it. Zero! Zip! Zilch!
When I told my mother my husband was a violent bully, she fell about laughing. She thought he was perfect and that I was “lucky to get him”. When we divorced, my family took his side. He was very charming - outside the home. No-one knows what is going on in someone else’s marriage; there may have been trouble in paradise long before Todd killed his wife.
I'll never understand that. I abhor violence. I find it highly degenerative and toxic to the goals of our social evolution. However..... If my daughter even hinted that her SO was violent or intimidating, my wife would need to bail me out of jail later that same day. I don't even see how it could be possible to take something like that lightly or not look into it.
My mom got out of a marriage like this. No one could believe that my dad could do anything wrong. But o was a witness - and behind closed doors he was so cruel to both my mom and us kids. She had to surprise leave. I’m glad she was smart enough not to warn him. I think some of these women seal their own fate when they reveal their plans and her husband snaps. Maybe that’s what happened in this case. He couldn’t bear the thought of having his/their perfect image tarnished.
Abusers work extremely hard on their image outside the home. They overcompensate, and it's no surprise that the family defended him and called their marriage perfect.

I was in an abusive relationship when I was in my 20s. Nobody knew. Nobody. Not my family or friends. And when I left him and told people what he’d done, there were several people that did not believe me. So I absolutely believe that he was abusive. It happens more than most people realize. And it’s awful to live that way. That poor woman.
During that movie's production they tried and tried, but no matter what, they couldn't get a real log to bounce that way. So they HAD to use CGI make the logs act they way they did.

In my 20’s I had a boyfriend that everyone loved. He won over my own family. One day when we both thought no one was home, my boyfriend hit me so hard that he knocked me to my knees. My mother heard the entire thing from upstairs and all she said was she thought it was time for him to go home. The next weekend we both joined my family on a day trip to a brunch at a Oregon resort restaurant. My parents thought this man loved me and I should be grateful that.I had someone who was always following me and keeping up with my every movement. Devotion it was called. Did he love me? No , he wanted to keep me under control. When the next beating happened , a few weeks later, I decided I’d had enough “love and devotion “. Although you couldn’t really call it a break up , until I left the state to pursue my own dreams, I was ridiculed by our mutual “friends” and by some of my “family “ because I’d “never find someone who’d love me like this man loved me “. This was right before cell phones and text messages but I was still under his thumb. My point is that I can see how Barb was hounded by her husband and still after her murder , nearly every one else didn’t think Todd could have been guilty. This type of men are master manipulators. Barb could have kept quiet for the same reason I did, her husband was better at pulling the wool over people’s eyes than she was in telling the truth. My heart broke when my family ignored the signs in favor of my boyfriend, I can only imagine that Barb knew she wouldn’t be believed and probably decided that for the sake of family ( her children and grand child mostly) she’d endure hell on earth before opening her heart up one more time to people who just wouldn’t listen. Rest In Peace Barb.
Thank you for sharing your story. All my respect for you for getting out of that toxic relationship before it was too late, like in this woman's case, marriage and children certainly do not make that step easy. I pray more women manage to escape from abusive relationships just like you did.

I know how you feel. Please don´t let somebody shame you for staying so long. There are some horrible trolls out here who love to victim blame and tell uns abused, that we are stupid for putting up with our abusers. I know its hard to understand, that somebody can manipulate your view and tell you over and over again, that you are weak, nobody likes you and you cant survive on your own.... I always pushed back (we have a child together otherwise I would have left him earlier) and he hated that I didn´t like to take shit from him. Honestly, I think every boss is like that. If you’re not at your shift 30min before (sometimes) it’s very questionable and sometimes it’s not even about being worried, sometimes they might be irritated bc you’re late for work.
Maybe she was in the habit of arriving a few minutes early. I used to get to my work ten minutes early because of the bus schedule. I had no choice. Her husband may have normally dropped her off early, so when she wasn't there the boss may have figured something was wrong.
If her family does not side with her even in her death, with all the forensic evidence proving the husband to be the killer, i doný think they would have supported her if she ever complainted about her marriage. Maybe that's why she shut up. I'm familiar with this kind of family.

A defense attorney can get a transcript thrown out easily. We had a few defense attorneys challenge our taped interrogations because of poor audio quality. My original comment was coming from a place of frustration with my own departments audio equipment as much as it was this departments. I should have been more clear 👍🏻

Did they look at cell phone records to see if she was having an affair? If she was planning to leave, would she have spoken with anyone about that before telling her husband? Did she ever tell anyone she felt trapped and smothered? Maybe she enjoyed having him dote on her that way?

Yeah - hear you - I had one too (nowhere near as bad as Mr Kendhammer or yours- but mine invented road rage (yes we are THAT old - we just called it weird behaviour then) and was developing into a prize control freak - when I told him I was leaving he threatened suicide - I told him "Be my guest" - he knew I was not joking - he's still alive 35 years later. Funny that.
I was having dinner one evening with friends who seemed to have a perfect family. I rathered be at there house than mine. When the daughter made a joke about getting in an interracial relationship the father flew in a violent rant, throwing his salad and food at her and the mother for trying to calm him. He then asked me to leave. This came out of nowhere and still shocks me. I had known them and been over for years and never saw that in him. It could be anything with some people.
I would have had a hard time not saying "all right, as long as they come with me, because if that's what you do in front of company I don't want to know what happens in private."

I went to West Salem Middle School in 2016, where Barbara worked. I remember the day everyone found out she had died. It was extremely hard to see the faculty try to continue working without her there. For atleast the next few years they kept little paper hearts next to her staff name plate on the kitchen door. What a horrific case.
The biggest hole in his story for me was NO BLOOD on the pole...that was his whole story... _that this pole came through the windshield and killed her_ ...and there is no blood on the pole? Ummmm how does a pole kill you if it never had contact with your person? Add in ALL the other evidence...holy shit! But if he said the pipe came through the windshield and hit her on the head , that would explain the injury to the back of her head , coz if she saw the pipe coming through and she went to a braced position, there is a possibility to hit it on the back of the head. Investigators would have found the source of the pipe, may be it matches something in the house or near by construction site , blood in the garage ? to place him in another location at the time of the murder.
@@yasoozie Don't forget his claim that it fell from an ONCOMING truck. Even if it rolled off the side of a truck, it could not possibly go straight through the passenger side of the windshield. It could hit their car, sure, even hit the windshield, but it would likely roll or bounce off.

It’s not necessarily the sons ways. Like I tried to hide as much of the abuse from my kids as possible but they too had to walk on eggshells so I hope his “son” is nothing like him if he did do it.
Truth tellers usually use contractions, "I didn't kill her" liars usually dont, " I did not kill her". The try to overcompensate, similar to when someone telling a made up story/lie and give too many or weird details trying too hard to make it seem legit.

It’s heartbreaking. I’m watching the 48 Hours episode on this case and there is no sadness that Barbara lost her life. Even if the BS story was true, that’s still a horrific way to go and should be mourned.

These officers did an excellent job interviewing this man. They lead him to the water, let him drink and then used the information he gave them to let him know he was screwed, by his own words.
They were playing with a STACKED Deck. The Forensics were pointing towards her beating beaten and they knew coming in he would say it was the pole. But they also knew he absolutely did not understand Forensics and they knew they had the Forensics Information and he did not. He was nervous as hell because he knew what he did was extremely risky and would hope the police wouldnt investigate?or be too dumb to realize?? He knew he was basically caught right away. He should have shut up to be honest and got a lawyer right away.

O Alem If you’d paid attention then you would know what is being solved is whether or not the case can be considered an accident, not the accident itself especially given that it may not even exist. If you were actually looking from the perspective of the suspect, then you would know that he already knows that the police don’t believe his story and are currently investigating to see what was going on. And so, being a part of that investigation, he wants to help them solve it to the point at which they all agree that it was an accident. But I doubt you’d understand that given your inability to understand my original comment.

That's what I thought. The man's voice is so irritating, high pitched and sounds like a weird cartoon character. Aside from that though, I also believe, having just seen the 48 Hours episode about this case, that he's guilty as hell of his wife's murder and the so-called 'experts' who seemed to believe he may have suffered traumatic memory loss (as a reason for why he gave so many lies to detectives questioning him about why he didn't drive Barbara to work that morning but, instead, drove in entirely the opposite direction) couldn't give conclusive proof one way or the other as to why he gave differing accounts of what (he claimed) happened, as to how Barbara's injuries were sustained, etc. All of the so-called expert evidence seemed to be mainly speculative, not necessarily fact in this case. I believe that, far from having a supposedly blissfully happy marriage, the Kendhammers had problems, as do many couples, and that Barbara may have wanted out of the marriage. Todd, I'm sure, knew that she may have been able to move on, and find someone better for her, than he ever would and that he would not allow her to leave the marriage. I also believe that his son & daughter are deluded in thinking that their parents' marriage was wonderful and that their father could never have harmed their mother. They're adults and they need to face reality instead of having their head in the clouds and wasting time trying to get a guilty man freed from prison. As 'unpalatable' as the truth may be, their father seems to now be exactly where he belongs - behind bars.
You literally have zero evidence of that. Her best friend, mother, or someone close in her life would of known if that were the case, and she never even got close to saying that. That’s not something you up and decide out of nowhere without telling your best friend.

It’s upsetting to think that people would rather believe that a lot of contact between a couple means abuse rather than that they loved each other and were best friends. I think it shows more about those people’s character and relationships rather than the accused.

The case against this man was the fact that they were inseparable and ‘too perfect’ and they couldn’t recreate the accident that they never saw happen! That, to me is a very flimsy case! When he addresses the court at his sentencing and thanks his family and friends for their support, yet says nothing about the wife he had to be constant contact with. Hella guilty 💀😷

Don't mistake this for me saying he's for sure innocent or anything, all I am saying is that it would have been even weirder for him to add his wife in a thank you speech. He absolutely did it. He basically dissolved in fear when confronted with the evidence from the male detectives. Men that commit domestic abuse are usually cowards that shit themselves when someone bigger or more powerful confronts them. His leg was bouncing like crazy, he was close to hyperventilate from fear in that interview trying to explain the impossible.
Or his surprise and stress levels went through the roof - just lost his wife and now accused of the unimaginable. It is fairly easy to watch and say "oh look at him", without taking into consideration the devastating trauma that occurred and now being accused...Put yourself in those shoes - it would be traumatic, it would be devastating to be accused like that - I think under it all, he did well, most confess - who are guilty-
The evidence that Todd murdered his wife is obvious. There is no evidence that his version of the story is true. I think I saw this on Dave's Lemonade too. Or it could have been Enigma. I'm not sure.
He should have asked for a lawyer immediately when they started questioning him. I'm always amazed at the amount of people who talk to police without a lawyer.

Why is it that guilty people never ask for a lawyer? Ever. They always assume lawyering up is admitting guilt, when in reality, you committed a sloppy crime and a lawyer is your only hope.
It's the classic narcissist's blind spot - they have a misplaced confidence that they are _so_ much smarter than everyone else & can manipulate any situation.... for them, it's not possible that they made a mistake. Leaving their defence in anyone else's hands is also admitting to themselves that they _aren't_ the smartest person in the room, so their need to feel superior to everyone else overrides their common sense... logical things like getting a lawyer! It's often hidden. There is too much shame so the victim often does the covering up more. I always have to eyeroll when "There was no evidence of domestic violence, no history of police being called. Seemed like a normal couple"

It was in my hair, on my face, covering my arms and chest, in my cleavage, down my back, and hella in between my legs. The windshield wasn't even fully penetrated. It was shattered but no major holes and there was glass 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 in the car as far as the backseat. That shit was all over me, so yeah...
@@alikat5590 Its not that he probably didn't do it... Its that the prosecution literally fails to establish the why and how he killed her beyond a reasonable doubt. Did he kill her? Probably... but a rage filled abusive man wasn't the way it was done. The way they put it is not beyond a reasonable doubt. While he was guilty, the prosecution is lucky for a jury that didn't care about reasonable doubt, and went off the fact that he probably did it. Unfortunately thats not the way the law is supposed to work though. They need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he murdered her. And I don't think the prosecution did that in this case. It's not that hes innocent, its that hes not proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Thank Goodness that the jury had insight and made their decision based on what evidence they were provided - I could never sleep or look in the mirror at myself if I was on a jury and didn’t convict a guilty person! I heard a famous prosecutor in Texas say during a case - beyond any reason of any doubt - this person would still be alive void knowing this person - in this case - no truck and too much evidence or lack of evidence to back up a freak pole through the window “accident” from some mystery truck ! Motive - does instant anger & non planned rage need a motive ? No one knows what exactly 2 people can instantly argue about in a car !!! 🗣🔥🔥🔥💣 and on a waning dark solar & lunar eclipse on September 15 2016@ 730-8am - especially no!! Sudden anger - sudden rage ... 🤔 === My boyfriend of 3 years now - he survived a car wreck on August 5 2005! He decided to break-up with his girlfriend of 7 yrs in her car on that day! They were screaming at each other in the car! He got out of car & walked & she picked him back up (in doing so - she took handful of prescription pills while he was walking off his anger) per her stomach content after her death that day! -He got back in car @3pm! August 5 2005! She proceeded to immediately drive her car with him in it suddenly into a power pole & wall! Over a break-up fight and him admitting dating another girl ! Truth truth truth Did she set out to die that morning and run her car into a pole & wall ? Did he set out to break-up with her that morning ? - no according to him they got into a huge argument at the dmv at 2pm that lead to her immediate death and him with stitches in his head with EMT & police saying it was a miracle he was alive & yes the ‘jaws of life’ had to be used to get him out of her wrecked car after hitting a pole & wall suddenly! - The police said that he should have died too! She died Instantly at 23 yrs old! He was “not charged with any crime” and that’s due to her stomach content of too many prescription pills in her system that day He could have “easily grabbed the steering wheel” of her car that day & caused the wreck too - it’s his word against his dead girlfriend!!! - who knows what really happened in her car that day ??? Honestly who knows? but only him! Same as this case - yet a witness testified seeing the car pulled over with no broken windshield in this case -right? How many times have we heard testimonies of friends and even family of people who've done horrible things, saying "He wouldn't hurt a fly" and "He was always a gentleman". They're shocked that someone they were so close to could do such a thing.
Any relationship can look “perfect” from the outside looking in. He seems really possessive of her, and it can be hard to distinguish between that and love and devotion. Only the people behind closed doors know the real truth.

So yes it is not evidence of abuse directly however its it evidence of symptoms that are seen in nearly evey abusive relationship. I actually think you're the one projecting here not the commenter. yeah nah abuse goes deeper than being violent. Emotional, verbal, financial and mental abuse are just as valid as physical abuse. A lot of times people don’t realize that they’re being emotionally/mentally abused until they leave that relationship and get into a relationship and things change.
I found it poignant the defense lawyer asked the witnesses if they "saw" bruises or injuries. Any abuser knows that you mark the body where it can easily be covered. Furthermore, it was more common for past generations to accept controlling, jealous, emotionally and verbally abusive relationships as normal. What is strange in their testimony is they said the couple was always happy and never complained. No relationship is ever that good; everyone argues.
I feel both great frustration and pity that the poor families cannot clearly see the guiltiness of the husband. Body scratches, no glass on her, and no blood on the pipe??? Some people are deluded by emotion and fail to think through facts and logic.

I can’t remember the exact case but there was a disturbed father who killed his 3 sons but claimed that they were suddenly taken away by “a mystery man” who said he would take care of them (?) Pure madness, I know, but his own family BELIEVED him, and when they even interviewed his mom or aunt (can’t remember which) she literally defended him with her life, and even said something like “According to the Internet there are 50-100 children documented who get taken underground in the black market by unknown foster parents” or something ridiculous and silly like that. It’s really sad. Like their brains can’t handle to accuse their own loved ones of such heinous crimes. They are really to be pitied. So tragic.
To be fair the prosecution does this shit all of the time. Prosecution: "Investigators did not recover any blood on the pipe." Defense: "Did they ever check for any blood on the pipe?" Prosecution witness: "I never witnessed, but was told that..." Reporter: "There was no blood on the pipe" Me: "I mean one side of that pipe did seem a bit more... rusted and grimey than the other.. so Idk"

As far as the pipe going through the windshield, that might be believable if both vehicles were in an interstate traveling at high rates of speeds. But traveling in a 2-lane back road I don’t think so. Any commercial vehicle would not be going that fast. The driver would risk getting pulled over and possibly losing both their job and license. Glad he was convicted.

It was even stranger that the family was so quick to defend him, then again, from my experience at least, family will tend to believe anything when that person appears as a fine, 'upstanding' citizen on the surface - someone they 'trust'. Doubt they would've supported her regardless. I personally think he went into a blind rage only to have the severity of what he did and the consequences behind it hit him later. He seemed rather disoriented as well as scared/panicked. A weird case indeed. I can't begin to imagine what those 25 years must've held for her.
People who are literally with their significant other all the time, drop them off controlling their access to transportation, never hang out with friends without the other person there, call multiple times during the work day etc: that is a classic codependent toxic relationship that is probably emotionally manipulative. When one person makes a move to assert their individuality the other will explosively react.

ice la honk ever see the story of a woman who was out drinking with friends hit a homeless man and he became lodged in her windshield. But instead of calling the cops and ambulance she drove home and parked the car with him in the windshield in her garage. It took days for him to die. Even with basic first aid he would have lived. But no, and her and her friends got high and drunk and laughed about it. Kicker is dude would have l lived and he had mental problems and was high himself so if she stopped she probably would have gotten a suspended license and probation instead of what she ended up with, a man would still be alive.
Yeah, he's guilty. Honestly, when I saw the intro to this video, I thought there would be something more compelling to suggest he was innocent than "he's friends and family had nice things to say about him". My dad was psychologically abusive to my immediate family (myself, my mother and sister) yet to outsiders (extended family, family friends, neighbours etc...) he was the nicest guy ever because he knew how to manipulate and charm people.
Even if the relatives were right, if their relationship was absolutely perfect without psychological pressure or anything, that doesn't mean he didn't snap suddenly for unexplained reasons. The evidence is so obvious, the pipe without blood, the strangulation marks, the back of the skull broken, bruises on the biceps, broken glass where there shouldn't be and no broken glass where there should be, scratch marks on the husband and broken nails on the victim, no truck corresponding to the description, witness saying he saw the car already there without anyone inside and an intact windshield, lies from the husband about pretty much all their schedule.. I mean if that's not enough, then we should just all wait for murderers to gently confess. The family is delusional

I get severe anxiety attacks sometimes that causes mine to do that and theres nothing i can do to control it i think either way he would of been anxious about what just happened so might not mean his guilty but the lack of glass on the body and no blood on pipe definitely raise some questions as to the legitimacy of his story.

Todd's 911 call reminds me of Dan, the high talker, from Seinfeld. This case reminds me of Michael Paterson - aka the Staircase murder. it IS interesting that family, friends, children all stand by him, but that just leads me to believe that this was NOT in Todd's nature, not pre-meditated, something extra-ordinary happened, ie 'a crime of passion', and that he deeply regrets it and would gladly take it back, but that ultimately he snapped and in a panic, had to follow through and tried to cover it up. but if this dude did plan this, what a moron.
Same thoughts here. So many loved ones supported MP throughout that case, but he always seemed suspicious to me. From experience, I know first hand that someone can act one one in front of everyone, but very differently in front of a partner. My ex was viewed as a local hero while I knew differently. It's definitely possible. That doesn't mean either one of these guys are guilty, but the evidence doesn't add up to anything but foul play.
Agree with the staircase comparison 100%, in that case we saw information had been uncovered by MPs wife and it likely ended in a crime of passion. Also using common sense looking at both this case and MP’s it just doesn’t add up how these woman could die in an accident.
You kind of missed the interesting part in the Dash cam footage where they paramedics turn up and tell him she is still alive and breathing. ANd he starts asking if he can go in the ambulance with her, but the Police are already a bit concerned about his behaviour and so make a point to keep him separate from his unfortunate Wife.

When I told my mother my husband was a violent bully, she fell about laughing. She thought he was perfect and that I was “lucky to get him”. When we divorced, my family took his side. He was very charming - outside the home. No-one knows what is going on in someone else’s marriage; there may have been trouble in paradise long before Todd killed his wife.

My mom got out of a marriage like this. No one could believe that my dad could do anything wrong. But o was a witness - and behind closed doors he was so cruel to both my mom and us kids. She had to surprise leave. I’m glad she was smart enough not to warn him. I think some of these women seal their own fate when they reveal their plans and her husband snaps. Maybe that’s what happened in this case. He couldn’t bear the thought of having his/their perfect image tarnished.

In my 20’s I had a boyfriend that everyone loved. He won over my own family. One day when we both thought no one was home, my boyfriend hit me so hard that he knocked me to my knees. My mother heard the entire thing from upstairs and all she said was she thought it was time for him to go home. The next weekend we both joined my family on a day trip to a brunch at a Oregon resort restaurant. My parents thought this man loved me and I should be grateful that.I had someone who was always following me and keeping up with my every movement. Devotion it was called. Did he love me? No , he wanted to keep me under control. When the next beating happened , a few weeks later, I decided I’d had enough “love and devotion “. Although you couldn’t really call it a break up , until I left the state to pursue my own dreams, I was ridiculed by our mutual “friends” and by some of my “family “ because I’d “never find someone who’d love me like this man loved me “. This was right before cell phones and text messages but I was still under his thumb.
My point is that I can see how Barb was hounded by her husband and still after her murder , nearly every one else didn’t think Todd could have been guilty. This type of men are master manipulators. Barb could have kept quiet for the same reason I did, her husband was better at pulling the wool over people’s eyes than she was in telling the truth. My heart broke when my family ignored the signs in favor of my boyfriend, I can only imagine that Barb knew she wouldn’t be believed and probably decided that for the sake of family ( her children and grand child mostly) she’d endure hell on earth before opening her heart up one more time to people who just wouldn’t listen. Rest In Peace Barb.

I know its hard to understand, that somebody can manipulate your view and tell you over and over again, that you are weak, nobody likes you and you cant survive on your own.... I always pushed back (we have a child together otherwise I would have left him earlier) and he hated that I didn´t like to take shit from him. It ended when he finally snapped and assaulted me- that was the final straw. He is in psychic care now and I live humble but happy with our child.

A defense attorney can get a transcript thrown out easily. We had a few defense attorneys challenge our taped interrogations because of poor audio quality. My original comment was coming from a place of frustration with my own departments audio equipment as much as it was this departments. I should have been more clear 👍🏻

I was having dinner one evening with friends who seemed to have a perfect family. I rathered be at there house than mine.
When the daughter made a joke about getting in an interracial relationship the father flew in a violent rant, throwing his salad and food at her and the mother for trying to calm him. He then asked me to leave. This came out of nowhere and still shocks me. I had known them and been over for years and never saw that in him. It could be anything with some people.

I went to West Salem Middle School in 2016, where Barbara worked. I remember the day everyone found out she had died. It was extremely hard to see the faculty try to continue working without her there. For atleast the next few years they kept little paper hearts next to her staff name plate on the kitchen door. What a horrific case.

Investigators would have found the source of the pipe, may be it matches something in the house or near by construction site , blood in the garage ? to place him in another location at the time of the murder.

These officers did an excellent job interviewing this man. They lead him to the water, let him drink and then used the information he gave them to let him know he was screwed, by his own words.
They were playing with a STACKED Deck. The Forensics were pointing towards her beating beaten and they knew coming in he would say it was the pole. But they also knew he absolutely did not understand Forensics and they knew they had the Forensics Information and he did not. He was nervous as hell because he knew what he did was extremely risky and would hope the police wouldnt investigate?or be too dumb to realize?? He knew he was basically caught right away. He should have shut up to be honest and got a lawyer right away.

O Alem If you’d paid attention then you would know what is being solved is whether or not the case can be considered an accident, not the accident itself especially given that it may not even exist. If you were actually looking from the perspective of the suspect, then you would know that he already knows that the police don’t believe his story and are currently investigating to see what was going on. And so, being a part of that investigation, he wants to help them solve it to the point at which they all agree that it was an accident. But I doubt you’d understand that given your inability to understand my original comment.

That's what I thought. The man's voice is so irritating, high pitched and sounds like a weird cartoon character. Aside from that though, I also believe, having just seen the 48 Hours episode about this case, that he's guilty as hell of his wife's murder and the so-called 'experts' who seemed to believe he may have suffered traumatic memory loss (as a reason for why he gave so many lies to detectives questioning him about why he didn't drive Barbara to work that morning but, instead, drove in entirely the opposite direction) couldn't give conclusive proof one way or the other as to why he gave differing accounts of what (he claimed) happened, as to how Barbara's injuries were sustained, etc. All of the so-called expert evidence seemed to be mainly speculative, not necessarily fact in this case. I believe that, far from having a supposedly blissfully happy marriage, the Kendhammers had problems, as do many couples, and that Barbara may have wanted out of the marriage. Todd, I'm sure, knew that she may have been able to move on, and find someone better for her, than he ever would and that he would not allow her to leave the marriage. I also believe that his son & daughter are deluded in thinking that their parents' marriage was wonderful and that their father could never have harmed their mother. They're adults and they need to face reality instead of having their head in the clouds and wasting time trying to get a guilty man freed from prison. As 'unpalatable' as the truth may be, their father seems to now be exactly where he belongs - behind bars.

Or his surprise and stress levels went through the roof - just lost his wife and now accused of the unimaginable. It is fairly easy to watch and say "oh look at him", without taking into consideration the devastating trauma that occurred and now being accused...Put yourself in those shoes - it would be traumatic, it would be devastating to be accused like that - I think under it all, he did well, most confess - who are guilty-

While he was guilty, the prosecution is lucky for a jury that didn't care about reasonable doubt, and went off the fact that he probably did it. Unfortunately thats not the way the law is supposed to work though. They need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he murdered her. And I don't think the prosecution did that in this case. It's not that hes innocent, its that hes not proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

How many times have we heard testimonies of friends and even family of people who've done horrible things, saying "He wouldn't hurt a fly" and "He was always a gentleman". They're shocked that someone they were so close to could do such a thing.

yeah nah abuse goes deeper than being violent. Emotional, verbal, financial and mental abuse are just as valid as physical abuse. A lot of times people don’t realize that they’re being emotionally/mentally abused until they leave that relationship and get into a relationship and things change.

I found it poignant the defense lawyer asked the witnesses if they "saw" bruises or injuries. Any abuser knows that you mark the body where it can easily be covered.
Furthermore, it was more common for past generations to accept controlling, jealous, emotionally and verbally abusive relationships as normal.
What is strange in their testimony is they said the couple was always happy and never complained. No relationship is ever that good; everyone argues.
I feel both great frustration and pity that the poor families cannot clearly see the guiltiness of the husband. Body scratches, no glass on her, and no blood on the pipe??? Some people are deluded by emotion and fail to think through facts and logic.

Pure madness, I know, but his own family BELIEVED him, and when they even interviewed his mom or aunt (can’t remember which) she literally defended him with her life, and even said something like “According to the Internet there are 50-100 children documented who get taken underground in the black market by unknown foster parents” or something ridiculous and silly like that. It’s really sad. Like their brains can’t handle to accuse their own loved ones of such heinous crimes. They are really to be pitied. So tragic.

Honestly, when I saw the intro to this video, I thought there would be something more compelling to suggest he was innocent than "he's friends and family had nice things to say about him". I mean if that's not enough, then we should just all wait for murderers to gently confess. The family is delusional

Same thoughts here. So many loved ones supported MP throughout that case, but he always seemed suspicious to me. From experience, I know first hand that someone can act one one in front of everyone, but very differently in front of a partner. My ex was viewed as a local hero while I knew differently. It's definitely possible. That doesn't mean either one of these guys are guilty, but the evidence doesn't add up to anything but foul play.
Agree with the staircase comparison 100%, in that case we saw information had been uncovered by MPs wife and it likely ended in a crime of passion. Also using common sense looking at both this case and MP’s it just doesn’t add up how these woman could die in an accident.
You kind of missed the interesting part in the Dash cam footage where they paramedics turn up and tell him she is still alive and breathing. ANd he starts asking if he can go in the ambulance with her, but the Police are already a bit concerned about his behaviour and so make a point to keep him separate from his unfortunate Wife.

This one always got me - the evidence is so damning that he did it but the cover up story is so bizarre, who thinks of staging something like that as a cover up? However, I can totally believe he was previously abusing her and no one knew. There are so many abuse stories like that.
