As a Canadian myself, I can unfortunately confirm that the RCMP don't have a good track record of taking Indigenous peoples' issues seriously - I mean, the RCMP was originally organized to target Indigenous people. It's not as though I'm saying all members of the RCMP are bad, just that there are a lot of issues with how Indigenous peoples are treated, particularly missing/murdered women.

Made me swear I would never take rides from strangers then took me home. I'll never forget it and never got in the car with a stranger again.
Not meaning to contradict you in any way or try to defend RCP, but I guarantee it is very possible to shoot yourself in the back of the head with a handgun. Of course the body should be found with the gun either in hand or very close by and with the deceased's prints on the firearm.
@@wtrdawnlord you are no doubt correct on this. In the 2 cases I know of, both young men were involved in such things that contradict the claim of suicide.
I know someone who was shot in the face and they called it suicide...with a long barrelled shot gun. This was in S.Australia, saves a bit of investigation, I guess. It is possible to do this but unfortunately not in this case...the gun was not propped between his feet and he was not sitting. His face was blown away, delaying identification.
@Grannvale Flame Emperor I have to say it's troubling that you have "favorite" methods of "suicide". I'm curious if you can point to an actual instance where a death by either method was ruled a suicide by authorities.
@@AwfulDog1 Even given the qualifications you provide, I have to say it doesn't rule out possible suicide; not as you have given the details at least. The butt of a rifle or shotgun doesn't absolutely have to be between the victim's feet nor is it necessary they be seated. I could certainly have the barrel of a shotgun or rifle under my chin while standing or laying down, and it might make it easier to manage if the gun was at an angle. Certainly not how I would choose to do such a thing if I were of that mindset, but depending on barrel length compared to body proportions it's definitely possible. Obviously moreso with a person 6 ft + than someone 5 ft or so. Again, I'm not trying to say you are wrong, only that the details you stipulated don't make it impossible.

Since the clearest words in that part of the recording are "...over now", the unclear parts are pretty much up in the air. My theory to this is that she was asking him "What are we going over now?" (or something along those lines) when the ride got bumpy. This makes his "gravel" response make a little more sense. And since there seems to be a struggle immediately after, followed by an abrupt hangup, I assume he was driving off road at this point to isolate and attack her.
LWKGD Saying the recording is "clear as day" is a wild misstatement, considering that some of the mystery of the recording is the fact that it's unintelligible at that part. I clearly prefaced that by saying it's *my* theory, and I actually do stand by it after giving it another listen. I don't think she said "grovel" because it sounded like the word ended with an "er". You also have to take into account that some words were cut off- you only made a sentence with the words that weren't unintelligible. Her inflection sounded like a nervous question, which is why I think she was asking that. Also, throwing out informed guesses about an unsolved mystery given to the public to review is hardly "reading way too far into it". Some people have been thinking about this case for years and just want to make sense of it.

@@13ritneyanne Wow, that's freaking scary. Glad nothing happened to you.
I know a young man who was shot in the back of the head, an obvious murder. RCMP declared it suicide. Imagine how his loved ones are left feeling.

It sounds like towards the end of the call was telling him to “pull over right now”
She was and seems like a fight/struggle began as well
It also sounded like he said gravel I think he killed her after the call got disconnected so sad
Sounds like she was hitting him and he was saying “ow ow”
It heartbreaking because she was clearly trying give the police her location and they did jack shit and now she's dead.

Better still call a family members personal number and tell them you are being abducted. At least that way the police cannot withhold or destroy the recording of the conversation and cannot just ignore your family member when they tell the police that you have for a fact been abducted.
You could call 911....
He called her. It was lucky, inmates don’t receive phone calls they make them!
Call 911 (dispatch calls are recorded too) and share your location with someone so they can track you. Unfortunate that location technology wasn’t around in 2010 :(
Just watched a video of a girl who was kidnapped and send location to her boyfriend and she was rescued.
Edited: accidentally put the wrong year, corrected to 2010!
You don't call people in jail 🙄
They call you. Which means that guy let her answer her phone
@@toooriginal3816 lmao no shit right
Ever get the feeling the police are in on it...
They probably are collecting physical evidence. I do hope so.
The whole Steven Avery/ Brenden Dassey case showed me how corrupt and underhanded police can be.
Actually happens a lot in Canada it is a genocide at this point The missing and M*rdered indigenous women, police don’t care our government doesn’t care
@@paige8561 lm so sorry your police and government are failing you
No.
Imagine not being held accountable for any mistakes and wrong doings. Man being a cop is the perfect job for a criminal.. hmm that actually makes alot of sense 🤔
In America you can literally kill innocent people and so long as it's not filmed (and even when it is) you will get away with it.
@@AshDemonYoung very true it makes me think twice before asking help from the police
Ash are you kidding ? The USA is 4% of the world and 25% of the world’s prisoners. We live on a prison planet where the weak are thrown to the wolves.
Crazy it’s so true
@@Mizmoon2020the USA is also one of the biggest countries of the world. In course prison rate will be higher ! 🤡
The RCMP is so frustrating when it comes to missing First Nation women
Poor girl. RIP. Hopefully her family can get the answers and closure they need.
RIP to another Missing and murdered Indigenous women 😔❤️
@aniah rose "Indigenous" women, men are true Hebrews (Deuteronomy 28).. Though our peoples have been under curses, we're the first to have honor of *eternal life* in Christ Jesus, through faith in His burnt brass fleshed sacrifice. (why my peoples and Judah "Blacks" have suffered this temporary Earth as we have!)
Amen Jade, I hope Amber was saved [call it a hunch, she most likely was].. Curses of Deut28 are almost over now.

So the police believed there was a serial killer in the area yet they wouldn’t investigate Amber’s disappearance??
This phonecall has haunted me for years, its so chilling that she knew so early on that something was effed up about this guy...
I remember learning about her years ago, then learning about all the message boards out there of couples warning people to stay away from a certain man in that area.
If I've learned anything from watching all those true crime videos. Never Ever Hitchhike, especially if you're alone and female.
Don't do anything alone as a female, not even living alone from all the true crime videos
And minority
Do you really need these videos to tell you that?
Your not safe even travel with someone else. Crazy people don't care if your alone or with someone else if they got murder in their mind nothing n nobody will stop them from doing what they wanna do
Thea van den berg you should have already learned that from your parents while you were a kid. If you’re just learning this now you’re parents are negligent.
This has quickly become my favorite series on TH-cam.
Welcome to the Treehouse
Scott Duarte me too!
There are so many interesting subjects! Sometimes I just go on that chapter channel and look for ones I haven't seen yet...😎
Problem is this channel is like a black hole. "I'll just watch one video to pass the next 20 minutes." Tree hours later the dogs are crying at the door to go out, kids are begging for dinner and you have no idea what happened.
I like the elevator one Elisa Lam.
Wtf, how is this guy still roaming around free?
I knoooow... ... ...
Don’t you just love how reddit is doing a better job at solving these cases than the actual goddamn police?
Damn it’s almost like they only have a shitty recording of his voice Edit: my mistake didn’t watch full video my mistake.
I feel so sorry for the families of the unsolved cases. Very sad
I've heard this recording so many times and each time I get angrier that the RCMP did NOTHING. They were like "Yeah, she's just out partying for 3 years."
Love how you sometimes seem to get genuinely ticked off at some of the stupidity in these cases, I feel you man it's so frustrating to see at times!
I have lived in Edmonton all my life. For the last four decades, we have had so many women go missing in these ways. Probably multiple serial killers, but nothing substantial to report on any resolution..... especially from the rcmp
It's probably this sicko Monster 👹 who did it
I live in Edmonton all the murders is so scary
You should look into the Taliyah Marsman case in Calgary. So tragic. She was my daughters friend.
10:00 4 days after the release of the tape they find her remains? THAT is sketchy as hell. Makes me believe they found the remains first, THEN put out "the plea for help in identifying the voice." Did you hear this guy say they had been investigating her disappearance since 2010 when she went missing? The hell they did.
I concur!
Most likely the guy heard his voice on TV and got rid of evidence or moved body parts.. Or the timing is literally a coincidence. Also the recording I believe makes it clear where they were in a general sense, ppl could've been on alert and looking in the general area. The police messed up big time but I doubt they would've tried something like that, although I guess anything is possible. I'd love to know what that scumbag ranch owners alibi was bc if three different women identified his voice and he's familiar with the area and lives close by then it was likely him.
@@gordonshumway5933 Yeah, that scumbag is a good bet. I really do wonder how and why he was cleared....
Glad I'm not the only one who thought something similar. It could in fact just be a big coincidence, but it stinks to high heaven
@@mishmashmedley if you scroll the comments, there's a guy who says he lives in the area and his wife and some others don't believe it's the guy with the ranch and they called in tips for who they believe it to be bc they think they know the voice. He didn't give a name but he gives the initials JK, I think he said the police also cleared this guy or don't think it's him but who knows. I actually had to turn the volume down during her phone call bc I can't listen to it anymore. The way he gets off on her fear is craven. Whoever it is, he's a total pos and I hope they get him sooner than later
Oh boy, it’s this case. It always leaves chills, no matter how many times I hear it. It is really disturbing hearing the killer’s voice, never recognized.
Me too. Watched quite a few videos on this case, and it's so creepy.
Me too! I've listened to that audio(voicemail) a bunch of times and everytime I get chills and a terrible feeling comes over me!
Makes me wonder how many others disappeared after accepting a ride with him since then. WTF is wrong with people anymore?!
A HAVEN FOR THE LOST Me too... I hope she is resting in peace.
They said she had been the subject of a missing persons investigation since her disappearance date in 2010 on that press briefing IDing the remains. So...they just lied. How are people not prosecuted for making false statements to the public in their official capacity like that?
I found this channel around the beginning of May 2021 and am hooked ! Mike fits this channel like a glove !
We love you Mike. You do incredible work. Your personality really balances out the subject matter.
I wouldn't be surprised if a small unit of cops are involved in some of those disappearances.
Ted Fundy you would probably be correct.
Yep. He's probably has connections
My thoughts as well
I happen to agree.
Why hasn't this man been caught? 3 different people recognised his voice wtf, that isn't a coincidence.
Im a deputy sheriff here in south Georgia, I can totally understand your suspicions some of my co workers are shady people, I’ve never caught them doing anything but they give me a bad vibe sometimes. Always remember cops are just people no better, no worse and also remember that David Ray Parker had assistance from the local cops some of them were in on it.
This case gives me chills. If the RCMP had done their job, even just a little bit, from the beginning this case could have been solved.
Inactivity from law enforcement boils my blood.
I feel as though most folks never receive any true "Justice" because of the Cops simply not abiding by the Oath they took. We need to take justice into our hands.
SOLACE214 Yes we do :) A lot of non violent ways
I for some reason will always remember this case as the "Sister of a Brother who was in prison" It's pretty messed up stuff.
Mike I just found u! A new subscriber. I've been watching u for four days straight. I love true crime studying it for 30.
U get to the point u dont take urself too serious. U show actual concern for the victims which is good karma. It's about awareness and the victims. Not the morbid curiosity of it and makeup. U rock dude. But the accent at first ...'tree turdys" that's a new one!! Lol
What the hell was going on with those WORTHLESS cops?!
Isn't it obvious? In on it. Corrupt.
I just love how you narrate a story. I have searched for cases comparing how the news tell them and how you tell them. You always have the most logic and fitting explanation of what you think could have happened. You should join Interpol
I no longer regret googling my husband's name when I met him
Your husband probably googled you
How does Google prove anything on anyone?
Mrs. Morbid honestly, nobody should feel the need to do this but google usually is useless for a persons safety, you need police records but guess what, the perpetrators are protected and it’s private 🤔😡
@@galaxi407 Doesn't necessarily prove anything but it can provide records of court appearances, news articles, reviews of businesses they own, Facebook accounts etc. Once a woman looked on google maps and saw her husband walking in the street with another woman which ultimately led to a divorce. Amazing what you can find with Google.
Galaxi 7 lots of people who have committed murder who aren’t in jail due to just shitty police work but they’re clearly guilty
Great video Mike!
I have been following this case for a while as I work only a stones throw away from the motel she stayed at, in fact I can see the motel as I am writing this.
Being so "close to home" this case really creeped me out and lots of co-workers and I had several theories. Lots of commuters to Nisku know the back roads well as in the winter the main highway can be very treacherous and sometimes you have to use alternate roads to get to work.
I forsure think the killer also is linked to the other women you talked about in this video.
As for it being Pat, it's possible although he kinda sticks out easily with what can be found about him on the internet and I just think the killer would be a little smarter than old Pat.
There is another TH-cam who covered this video that had an update. Apparently there was a man who contacted the police stating that the voice in the audio was his deceased father. He was certain of it. I don't know if the police proved it or not but for all the victims families, it would be nice to see it over.
Thanks again Mike for all your hard work and amazing videos.
By the way...... as a proud Canadian, I now nominate you Mike as an honorary Canadian!
Everyone: Bro shes missing.
Police: Uhhhh nahhhh. She's just... gone?
Yup. It's pretty difficult to get the police to believe an adult has unwilling disappeared, and not just left under their own will.
👌🤣🤣🤣
100,000 people are reported missing every year. 99.999% are found within a year, most are fine and turn up within a week or two. If the cops investigated every one right away, they would need thousands of more cops. This is why they don't investigate unless they have other evidence something bad happened. So much of the blame should land on all the people who take off without telling anyone. if people didn't disappear on purpose all the time. The cops would know when someone needed help and they would investigate missing people right away.
@@BrettonFerguson There's a difference between not having enough manpower to look into a case, and declaring the case closed. Apparently, they did the latter, which is ridiculous.
@@JoeSakana exactly!
"We thought we'd done our due diligence" & they didn't even Google the guy's name?!? Holy crap. That couple are bloody lucky to have gotten away unscathed.
My heart goes out to the family of poor Amber Tuccaro, & here's hoping the piss-poor RCMP start doing their jobs properly & seriously investigate that sex offender/likely serial killer rancher before he molests or kills anyone else. Thanks for another great video, Mike - you're the best! 👍🏻
Great video Mike. The report said deficiencies in the investigation? Sounds more like no investigation was done. Keep up the great work sir.
This is one that has never been far from my mind since I first heard about it. The fear in her voice.
