In this video, I explore the neighborhood Red Hook in Brooklyn. Its a small neighborhood right next to Carrol Gardens. Its a pretty residential area, but also has art galleries, restaurants and bars, and a beautiful waterfront. The neighborhood doesn't gets much footage, but its worth visiting. Hope you enjoy this video, stay tune for more.

Awesome my old hood is a hidden gem
My hood. Born and raised from 1957 to 1978. Smith and 9th was our train station.
My fondest memories was hanging out with friends in front of 11 Bush Street with relay racing, box ball, woofle ball etc…… The on Dwight Street Benches which is the backside of Bush Street !! The Big projects , Red Hook Pool, Coffee Park (Window views) the 3 floor projects , the Pizza Shop , Visitation Church where I made my Holy Communion and Confirmation !! Had lots of friends. Went to PS 27, JHS 142 the Bay Ridge High School!! The best of memories and childhood. Community was kept very clean. Landscaping manicured weekly!! Red Hook Pride :-)
Great video and neighborhood!
My Aunt Andrea McKnight lives in Red Hook. Nice tour!
I lived on van brunt st from 1984-2004 right across from marks 🍕. I miss my old
Neighborhood thank you for exploring it .
@@anthonyimbasciani your welcome
Proud to be birn and raised in Redhook. I've since moved more upstate, but I love seeing the chances they've done. Particularly coffee park. Dope video!
Hi, I lived in RedHook in 1960 -1965 ,or so. I liked living there. Felt like a small town. Wow, memories. Thank you. God bless you.😊
A great video ❤ of Red Hook. I haven't been there in over a year. Thank you.
Red Hook is a nice hidden gem, your welcome.
I've been there once a few years ago to visit Ikea. Free private bus rides to the store from downtown Brooklyn. There were free bus rides from 57th St in Manhattan to the Ikea store in NJ, but after the Red Hook store opened up, it was discontinued.
Lived there when i was a kid. On van brunt and beard streets. Lived over sonnys bar when it was there top floor.
My friends brother lives on van brunt. It was my first time in the city. I enjoyed it a lot
AHh Red Hook, I've driven through there but never explored. Enjoyed seeing the neighborhood.. I remember those buildings hehe.. parking is always a crapshoot in the city..
I agree, parking sucks in nyc, Red Hook is really underrated.

My name is Melissa nice to meet you
Hi Manny I live close by in Cobble Hill. Italians lived in Red Hook back in the day and Irish too I believe. Also ships from Puerto Rico used to dock in Red Hook. I think until the 1950s. Many Puerto Ricans lived in Red Hook and the lower part of Carroll Gardens. You should do some videos in Spanish. Thanks for showing us so many interesting places. Keep up the good work.
Thank you
I just landed a job at the dock, my first day I feel in love with Red Hook. Delfonte’s is my new go to spot. Would you happen to now of any rooms or apts for rent.
my design firm, Jump Design Inc. used to be there, at the end of the pier @ 499 van Brunt. I had moved over from Manhattan in ’99 after they had just tripled my rent there … so glad I did! It was such an upbeat atmosphere, you could really feel the excitement on every corner. The area had a bad rep at the time but in the 10+ years I was there, I never encountered anything or anyone bad. In fact, I think some of the sweetest people lived there. 😍 Thanks for the video and a big shout-out from Germany! ❤❤❤
PS:
I hope Ray Hall is still alive and kicking, cheers Bro! This is Jürgen 👊🤓
