Love that dodger. Every sail boat needs a dodger like that.
Agreed....I just spent 7 straight days bringing her back to FL from VA. The trip was around Cape Hatteras and on the outside down the Atlantic. This dodger is a game changer in both form and function (35 kt winds - 35° temp - 15 ft seas).

absolutely gorgeous . A lot of upgrades . I like the hard dodger, the quantum fusion- membrane sails, very nice, the swinging companion way doors are an improvement. Salon is open with lots of light. (3) flexible solar panels, nice to have. Also the 3 zone reverse cycle 12 volt lithium battery is great, don’t have to run the generator as much, noise reduction there! Lots of storage. Nice to see a wet locker there.
My 485 doesn’t have that, we’re a family of scuba divers w a lot of equipment. That’s a very nice touch.

Scott, Darrell: Thanks for the tour of the pre-owned 2021 IP 439. The boat is awesome. I always wondered how the 439's ivory exterior/interior finishes would look after some use. I do like the rock maple but with the stone/grey leatherette option. I regret missing ZALE's stop in Hampton, VA. I live in Norfolk. Had I known you were coming to town, I would have jumped aboard this IP for a quick tour. Maybe I'll see you guys at the next boat show.

Scott, thanks for the note about mid-day availability Friday 24th. I'll let you know. I assume ZALE at the HYC, Hampton. We toured a 439 at the Annapolis boat show in 2022 and also met Darrell and his wife.
I really like the hard dodger and the fiberglass arch and davits. Are these Island Packet factory options? Also really like the design and layout of both heads. The boat is really well done throughout. Thanks for the tour.
Thank you for the comment. Yes, both the dodger and davits are factory options and are very popular. Engineered and designed to be a part of the boat build, they provide excellent form and function.
I just brought her from VA to FL on a 7 day nonstop trip with my crew around Cape Hatteras and straight down the Atlantic. The dodger made a HUGE difference in protection from the elements and the dinghy did not move an inch on the davits (35 kts wind - 35° temp - 15 ft seas).

How is that safe hidden, it's in the open with the word "safe'' on the front panel. Should have been put in back of a fake vent
I'm sure the seller will happily install a fake vent over the safe when you buy the boat.
The most recent safe install is covered by a "vent". We are happy to refit this one for you if you buy the boat.

I have some sailing experience but not extensive; I am a retired 69 yo wannabe. I was curious how much it would cost to put a furling boom on Zale? Also, why two heads? Original owner’s spec? I’m looking for a vessel setup for single-handed sailing. I know you must tire of people like me but I do appreciate your feedback. Thanks again. Bruce

Furling main for a boat like a 439 would be around 30k
We could also do a furling main for about the same price
The main sail is powered by a electric winch and goes up with a touch of a button
Zale has always been sailed by a single person and is capable of going anywhere

Love this boat. But can't stand the Ikea interior. Sad to see.
Thank you for the comment. You may find the light maple interior to more desirable if you saw it in person. Many folks who saw this color combination at the boat show liked it very much and it was very well received. The quality and craftsmanship is the same with either wood you choose and we give you the option of either light maple or the darker Sapele interior if you build a new boat.
@IslandPacketYachts greetings. I just chartered a Dufor 43 with that same kinda interior. Not a big fan. Like that old boat feeling with the dark rustic look. I wanna be a pirate ☠️ or is it I am a wanna be pirate lol. ☠️
I'm sure they would be happy to change the interior to your liking when you buy the boat.

We offer a Sapele traditional wood interior and the light Maple. Build a new boat and you can choose.

Thank you for the comment. Much to the owners disappointment, life circumstances is why they did not keep her long. YES, this is perhaps the best equipped 439 that we built and every aspect was very well thought out by an experienced sailor (buyer).
